I haven’t tried yet but very curious to see if this finally ends this saga

That tweet gained so much traction. People were piling on, I hadn't seen that many people with this Shutting Off problem in one place until Xbox Support tweeted the problem was fixed. Everyone was claiming it didn't fix anything. Nobody said it fixed anything.

Now it appears they deleted the tweet?


I was in there replying as well, then I noticed it disappeared.

Its not just an xbox issue. Seen two reddit post with it happening to ps5 users.

I knew it wasn’t an Xbox issue because it just happened to me as well and it’s only been this game. This is ridiculous..

Is seems Microsoft Support deleted the tweet stating it was fixed

However the game is not back on the Xbox Status page of their site

Yep, deleted it. Crazy right now. Removed it from the Xbox Status Page, deleted their tweet that they "fixed" it. Are they just trying to ignore it all now?

PS5 doesn't have such problems like turning off console. Nice try though, keep on hating PS5.

I have both consoles and the ps5 used to freeze up some times during the first couple of weeks until they fixed it. They also had wifi issues. Please stop this fanboy crap.

Damn...I wish that I could retrace my steps that night I got in 6 games. I would just use that as a work around. I genuinely don't remember doing anything "special" that day when it came to my console.

The response is identical to the one they got when they tweeted this out earlier. No clue why they deleted and tweeted it again. Also, hilariously enough, got to listen to my buddy get dashboarded in a Rec game not even 20 seconds after finding out about that tweet. This is so confusing and I really just hope that there's been some miscommunication somewhere that they've found the issue but the "fix" itself isn't out just yet.

lol I just dashboarded before the draft combine game rather than the console shutting off during the scrimmage

Xbox support tweeted out they fixed it again like 15 minutes ago.

Yeah, they deleted the tweet from earlier, and everyone in that tweet was saying "It didn't fix anything, NBA2k22 still shuts off my Xbox."

Then, they basically copy pasted that tweet again, and everyone is still saying "It didn't fix anything, NBA2k22 still shuts off my Xbox."


I dont know what Microsoft is doing now. I gave them credit and respect for initially at least recognizing this issue and saying they are working on it. But to start taking victory laps when all the same people are having the same problems is just ridiculous. It really rubs me the wrong way.

Meanwhile, 2kSupport still has said NOTHING. They haven't even recognized at all that this is happening.

It's pretty much a hardware issue if it happens on 2 or more games. The only reason it happens alot on nba 2k because most xbox series games are cross gen, nba 2k21/2k22 are one of the few to push Xbox Series hardware at its limit.

And people are forgetting this is the same company that had one of the biggest hardware defects in home console history. RROD (red ring of death) for Xbox 360.

I think it's a software issue. Bad firmware/2k update file not syncing with Xbox OS. Who knows...

Is it possible to roll back OS firmware and then let it upgrade again??? I would love to see if that does anything...

It could be fixed. I just got done winning a game by 20 in MyTeam. During the entire 4th quarter, I was praying that the game wouldn't drop, lol.
