I haven't seen them in MyLeague CPU/CPU games with custom coach defensive settings for Double Team Perimeter and Double Team Post. I used to see it after even 20 points sometimes, but have seen guys go off and only get doubled in late game situations.

Maybe I'm not getting to the threshold where the ACE kicks doubles back in, but I'll keep looking for it when testing.

      @youALREADYknow:

I think I remember you were talking about whether or not Off-Screen Mid/3PT affects on-ball or off-ball tendency, so before I played the Rockets, I lowered Harden and CP3 to 0 Off-Screen both just to test. They were still shooting threes off the dribble in the pick-and-roll. I think it only affects off-ball screens.

Also, what do you think the difference is between Manual and Auto double-team post/perimeter defensive settings for the AI? If there is any.

Can’t wait to see what you can do with guys like Lebron, Westbrook, Lillard, etc.

Really looking forward to this roster. Even moreso if you can eliminate the erratic double teams in MyLeague.

Re: 2K19: Return of The Sim Roster

Just played a game against these sliders/rosters against the Rockets after playing playing them with vanilla Allstar. The thing that stands out the most is how much more fun/realistic the game is. This should be the default out of box experience. I only had two issues. It was too easy to drive and Dunk with Lillard. He had four dunks. The CPU did a nice job adjusting. 3 were in the second quarter. Bigs are still too strong on the boards. Nurkic had 12 boards, and Capela had 16. Guards did ok on the boards so overall rebounding was improved.

Played another game of Trail Blazers vs Jazz. Again the only real issue was rebounding. Centers were fine. Nurkic had 8 which is closer to his average and Gobert had 10 which is his average. The other bigs picked up all the slack and guards were left with numbers that were below their averages. I don't remember the numbers except Favors having 15 and Trail Blazer bigs overachieving their real rates with guards underachieving. I'll record the numbers better and review things tighter. The things that stands out the most is its a lot more fun, and I love how the defense jumps passing lanes. This should be the default.

Great feedback, thanks! I'm going back to slider testing this week to improve on some areas so will focus on rebounding stats during gameplay a bit more.

@RyanFitzmagic: I've seen a drop in P&R jump shooting with those off-screen tendencies lowered. Would have to test on a test roster with everything else zeroed out to know the absolute impact, but there are a lot of tendencies at play with pull-up jumpers so it would take a while.

I'm keeping the scale for Off-Screen the same for primary ball-handlers for now, but will revisit it later since that's one of the tendencies that hasn't been edited based on real-world data yet.

Hey YAK- I’ve been knee deep in RDR2 and haven’t been playing NBA 2k. I wanted to check-in to see if you would be releasing roster .3 and your new sliders anytime soon? I’d love to give them a try.

Great time for RDR2 to release. Should last me through the point where your roster is ready.

I’m going to post v0.3 next week and will keep updating it until it’s ready for v1.0 and MyLeague adjustments.

The plan is to be ready for v1.0 around Jan 1st. I’ll have a couple weeks of free time in December to pick up the pace on edits.

Czar started pushing ACE updates and I’ll be looking to see if they show up for CPU controlled teams on custom rosters. If not, then I have a tough decision to make on starting with a newer 2K roster.

Are you saying czar has already applied an ace system update or he's in the process of it now?

YAK- Have you made any slider or game speed adjustments since the previous slider set you posted? Or are you happy with the past set?

Came here to ask this also. I check the first page periodically to see if there's any slider updates. Just wondering if you have made any adjustments offline?

Yes, expect a HUGE update to contact sliders when the next roster/sliders get released. More contact overall, but less brick wall resistance. I wasn’t happy at all with some of the defensive reactions to dribble penetration on the previous set.

I’ve been busy last week this week ahead for personal/business reasons, but have an update coming by end of week.

Also, to answer the ACE question... Czar has begun updated to both ACE and Playbooks. There are a few new 4-out high P&R plays that I’m adding to Playbooks and I’m hoping they add more 5-out plays/sets so I can redo the Bucks playbook. As of now there just aren’t enough 5-out plays to mirror how the Bucks play.

Rockets are playing much better with Melo out of the rotation and the ACE/Playbook update. Still tweaking their P&R to get more roll action for Capela, but touches are much more realistic for CP3/Harden.

Check Czar’s YouTube from the last two days for details on the updates. He’s back in action and it’s going to be tough for me to play test anything with Playbooks until he’s updated more teams.

Personal preference, but I play with it OFF. If you know how to set defensive settings and call Series out of timeouts then I’m not seeing the value of having ACE turned ON for User teams. If you don’t feel cold with a team, then having it ON is a good move.

Also, I’d check to see which teams Czar has updated and recommend ACE for teams that have been updated. Looks like Lakers, Rockets, Spurs as of now.

YAK/ Thank you for the update! Have Czars updates minimized the issue you had with ACE and CPU controlled teams offensive play distribution/etc.?

Edit- Do these ACE updates apply to existing custom rosters? Or are they tied to the most recent 2k default roster?

It sounds like the new PLAY updates are tied to the 2k default roster, but I’m not 100% sure.
