This teammate AI is frustrating. The AI does no boxing out whatsoever. Against good rebound teams, I get murdered on the boards because these idiots are just standing there.

Ballhoggers not passing and taking fadeaway shots with a hand in the face. Im all for making the game difficult or whatever 2K is trying to do, but the AI doesnt have to be dumbed down like that.

Oh and how can I forget. Wide open jumpshots that go in n out. Again and again.

Dam my guy just had a career game against kobe, we were going shot for shot. Got a high of 44 points along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists while shooting 53% from the field. Kobe did score 1 point more then me, but my guy had a better game and we got the win. Best part was it was a key game, I got 6004 points, sweet.

Andddd I just got rookie of the month after leaving that game, another 2000 points!

I agree...Ive basically given up on this mode until maybe a patch comes out.

Im a 6'5 SG on the thunder in the starting lineup and today I literally took no shots in the 1st quarter and just gave my cpu good looks to see whats up...we scored 2 points on 10 minute quarters with the only points coming off Durant free throws. WIDE OPEN shots from Durant missed every time, as well as 7-8 footers with good looks. Ive also noticed the team im playing against does pretty horrible too. Usually games end up in the low 30's FG %. And hitting a 3??...forget about it.

The mode itself is so addicting I just hope they fix the AI. But other than that I love this game.

I started another player (my other was a SF), this time a 7'0" PF/C. Managed to get drafted by the Hornets again. Problem is they keep putting me at SF for about half of my minutes. My player's not quick enough to keep up with them. Thinking about asking for a trade, but not really sure. Playing with CP3 is an absolute joy.

WOWWWWWWW @ all the coaches being fired/hired in this! Well I don't know if it's in association too, but it's hilarious!!! Doesn't bother me too much but Hornets have had 3 different coaches, and I think every team has fired their coach.

Starting from 4th of January up until the 15th of January, I counted 75 times that a coach has been hired + another hired (150 lines in the Hiring/Firings section). Before that it was just 1 firing/hiring on 13th of November.

Anyone else having the same thing? Like I said it doesn't really bother me but I think it's crazzzyyyyy!

It's official! I took my talents to Salt Lake. Not long after the trade to Miami fell through, I was still on the block. I got a couple more questions int he press conference about it and answered with loyalty rather then arrogance that i did before and the next thing I know me and Petro are in Utah! I didn't look at the details of the trade so I'll share in the next update.

I played one game with them since the trade and boy, what a difference! Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap are turning the bricks that were in Jersey into buckets. The team also on a whole played spectacular defense. Something that was sorely lacking in Jersey. I mean we were playing Cleveland and at times were up by 30, so I hope this isn't an outlier.

I had my most complete game on MyPlayer. I had 6 assists in the 1st quarter alone. I finished with a line of 18 points 12 assists and 6 boards and 2 blocks.

Right now the Jazz have worse record then the Nets but they definitely have the talent to go places. I hope I am the missing piece! I'm starting of course.

I'm not having any of these problems with coach firings, players not passing, etc.
I'm on the PS3, are all of these problems on the 360?

Its funny because im a SG on the Thunder too. I played a game against the Rockets and did something similar to you--setting up my teammates--and Durant and Westbrook proceeded to shoot the team out of the game. We were trailing quick and the lead grew to double digits. I managed to cut it to single digits, but that was all me. I was kinda shocked at how terrible my AI team was playing because usually we are a good team. We lead the league in steals and have a pretty good defense to back it up, but this game showed none of that. It didnt help that the Rockets couldnt be stopped either.

Thats what equally frustrated me. Yao and Courtney Lee lit my team up haha. Their shots kept going in. And 1s, threes, etc. Freaken cherry picking oh my goodnesss. My team doesnt run back on D! Speaking of Yao... I think he had a near 20/20 midway into the 3rd quarter.

I think I will still continue to play, but it definitely needs some patching. A roster fix would help too. I feel like the tendencies for the players, etc are a little messy.

                      Update on My Myplayers Career,

6'7 SF Who was drafted to Memphis in the later part of the first round. Spent the first 16 games of my career backing up Rudy Gay. Then Rudy Gay Had an unfortunate Injury which allowed me to grab the starting job, which I have not let go of since. Rudy Gay has recovered from his injury, but now he is my back up. I am on game 34 of season 1.

Not having these kinda problems while playing with the Bucks. I'm always fighting for rebounds with Bogut and Maggette. Bogut is 3rd in the league and had a high of 21. Maggette is also one of the top O players with Salmons. Jennings has been out.

The only ball hog thing I've seen was when Jennings got hurt and Dooling played. He ran around and throwing up bricks all game. Otherwise the AI passes the ball around looking for plays. And as PF I set plenty of screens to help the O, for the single drive or pass out.

I'm 0-3 with the Raptors and loving every minute of it!

Lost to the Knicks, Cavs, and Kings... we are the WORST team in the league!

When I was an athletic SF in Memphis, we were pretty dominant. Nice young core, and we were second in the conference. I didn't have to do much, and was a triple-double threat because I would do a little of everything and rely heavily on my teammates.

As my new all-around SF in Toronto I basically try to do all the scoring myself. We are down by so much that I just "go through the motions" and try to get my stats. It's so funny how the team culture effects me.

Here's the greatest kicker of all... after my three initial games the Lakers (my least favorite team) and Rockets (my most favorite team) are interested. But, I have to play 2 more games before I can request a trade. I know for a fact that after those two games, my interested teams will change, and I'll miss out on my dream of playing in Houston!!!

When I end up there (even if it's via free agency) it'll be a great story. Daryl Morey tried to get me in the draft. I was projected to go to Houston after both my 2nd and 3rd combine games. The Raptors sniped me. Daryl then showed interest again early in my career and tried to get me via trade. I was meant to be a Rocket!

Interesting, on the Wizards we are the best rebounding team in the league, the ball movement is good overall but it will go into ballhog mode atleast once a game and will just make one pass (if that) and shoot regardless.

I agree with their shooting though, they seem to miss way too many of their shots when they do have good looks as silly as it sounds I have a hard time getting 4 assists a game some games since they miss wherever they are on the court.

Seein a lot of complaints of "Allow your man to score" too often when it's not technically "your" man. If your man is at half court or further back you'll be able to close out in time to prevent a deep shot. You gotta play help defense. What helped me was sprinting back to the opponenets lane on a missed shot by us and also using LB+Y (Xbox 360) for agressive blocks or RT+RS toward player for a hard foul.

BTW...I LOVE this mode and this game. Definitely the best sports game I've EVER played. The Jordan mode is something I've been waiting on for YEARS. My Player is one of the best player career modes I've ever played as well. I love to zoom all the way in on defense and use the right stick to move my vision...so realistic.

I actually have just started over my My Player because I wasn't setting picks on offense and using the agressive fouls and blocks, or double teaming on D.

I've played my first three games in the NBA for the Hornets. I'm the 7th man on the depth chart right now. I get most of my minutes at SG, but that's okay. I'll take the small "Hold Ball Too Long" penalty to give a good pass for an assist or get open for a shot.

Does everybody else get a press conference after each game? I thought they only came after big games? I've been putting up solid performances (scored 20 points in 15 minutes one game, jumper was ridiculous that game), but nothing that was really extraordinary. After the 2nd game I was leading the league with a 46 PER - my FG% was in the 80s. I thought that was funny.
