I'm 30 games into my NBA career with the Thunder and I'm starting to dominate the game. I'm playing 12 minute quarters on All-Star/Simulation settings. My player is a 6'3" 195lbs athletic point guard, and I was drafted late in the 1st round by OKC.
I started my career with the goal of being a defensive stopper/pass-first point guard before increasing my shooting attributes. I'm a master of the pick and roll game, especially with Durant playing power forward. I've even turned Serge Ibaka into an offensive force by getting him 3 or 4 easy dunks per game. I just recently got all of my shooting ratings up to 71 across the board, so now I'll start looking for my shot more. Now I'm going to focus on ball handling because, while I still have decent handles with a 67 rating, I want to pull off more ankle breakers.
I've started 11 games now after being the 6th man starting in about the 10th game of the season. Highlights in my career so far include 1 triple-double, 12 double-doubles, and a current average of 10.9ppg, 4.8rpg, 14.3apg, 0.8spg, 0.9bpg, shooting 43% from the field and 89% from the free throw line. I can easily rack up 13 assists per game now, and in my last 4 games I'm averaging 21.8ppg and 20apg. I recently was named player of the week for the first time, and I was rookie of the month in November. Probably my best game so far came against the Knicks in NY where I went 10-20 from the field for 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 21 assists. My single game career highs are 25 points, 24 assists, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 2 steals.
I like playing on OKC because Durant is such a beast. James Harden gets on my nerves sometimes because he can't shoot outside of 15 feet despite his above average shooting rating. Now that I've replaced Westbrook in the starting line-up I wish coach Brooks would give him more playing time. When I was coming off the bench as the 6th man we would be a deadly 2-man combo because we're both deadly quick and fast. Teams with a big physical front court are really the only ones that can hang with my team now. Our record is 21-9, but Yao Ming recently went for something crazy like 44 points and 24 rebounds against my team. We lost that game, obviously. It's just ridiculous for the coach to leave Jeff Green guarding Yao when he gets worked in the post repeatedly. Oh well.
I'm loving this mode so far and I enjoy reading all of your posts. Good luck.
