I'm using Nets but not actually playing with them. Just doing trades. What are your thoughts on this monster deal?
What?!?! The Thunder trading Westbrook and KD for 2 centers and an older D-Will and Q. Richardson???? Not a chance. Magic add KD pushing a highly paid Hedo to the bench? The Nets are the only ones who have a legit trade but even then they lost their 1st rounder. Not a chance this trade is even considered in real life.

You definitely need more dept at Center. I like Diaw at the PF slot. He should never be one of your main scorers( like he is on the current bobcats lol ) but as a streaky shooter he can really contribute. You have a good rotation at SG. Good defenders and 2 good shooters as well. Maybe adding a quality PG with potential will be a good step too. Good lineup.

Bobcats55 you seem to have good insight, what you think of my roster?

I really want a defensive team, that can handle their on the offensive side of the ball (2004 Pistons). But I feel like I can't accomplish that. What do you think I should do with this roster.

I traded for an unhappy Lamar Odom, i packaged up Jason Thompson with a pick.

          My current roster:
          Beno Udrih/Eugene Jeter/Nate Robinson/Rafer Alston
          Tyreke Evans/Marshon Brooks
          Thabo Sefolosha/Marcus Thornton
          Lamar Odom/Justin Harper
          Demarcus Cousins/Sammy Dalembert/Hassan Whiteside

I know I have a lot of PG's. Thats cause I'm not really good with Jeter, Nate is to small for my style of play and Rafer Alston fits me well. I'm very good with Skip To Mu Lou so he's getting the most backup minutes.

Lamar Odom got injured for 2-4 weeks, 2 games ago. The season just started so it's gonna throw some chemistry off and Tyreke just got injured for 2-4 weeks also last game. I'm 6 games into the season and our record is 2-4. It's gonna be a struggle these next few weeks cause of these key injuries, but it should be fun and frustrating.
          Thanks, no problem

Your roster is certainly not a bad defensive team. My strong point is not defense but I will share the strategy I use personally. Look your roster over as far as players you have that get minutes but are not counted on for points. Why not look to trade these players for lock down defenders to buy time while the scorers get rest?

Big time targets to go after are Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and Jerred Jeffries. Both can be had for a song(2k really under rates Mbah a Moute's trade value) Jeffries is certainly not going to impress any one but when it comes to night in and night out hard nosed defense, hes your man. Mbah a Moute is 25ish so he can still be developed into a defensive monster.

Hasheem Thabeet, is absolute garbage on the offensive side of the ball until you figure him out, which is unnecesary if you have any offensive weapons. However, he is an instant impact on D. Omer Asik is great too especially for developing. Height is huge. Both of those guys could probably be had with the players you would be willing to trade on that roster too.

Overall good looking team. What is your defense rated now overall? Keep us posted on updates!

Hey Bobcats55, played the 1st game against the spurs . We won 109-81. Rudy Gay had 22, Affalo had 17 I believe, and your right about Diaw, he's a great shooter and better than Arthur, thus I'm playing him as starter. Don't know how Arthur will think about that though :/. Well I guess I might just give Diaw 20-25 mins and not change the roles so Arthur's overall doesn't go down.

Tyreke Evans, Lamar Odom and Beno Udrih is hurt(Ive been working on his perimeter defense a little) so right now my defensive rated overall is 28th in the league. I'll update you when all three of those players are healthy and back in rotation.

Also thanks for the update makes logical sense and I like the ideas. My chemistry is current'y 33% with my 3 key players injured, ill see if it rises back up when they return before a trade, not trying to have it drop lower. If we win a decent amount of games by All-Star break, I'll pursue either Jarad Jeffries(I'm a Knicks fan) or Omer Asik and develop him. If were still at the bottom of the league by All-Star break, I'll man up during the rest of the season and play with what I got, then make the moves in the offseason.

Justin Harper is a offensive player, he isn't doing anything for me. Ive been assigning him offensive related practices and he's still not contributing. I don't use the monthly development drills cause I feel that's cheating because the CPU doesn't have that option to do those drills. Hassan Whiteside is 7'0 and pointless right now, at that height he should be grabbing boards and blocking 1 or 2 shots a game as an atheltic center. I'm currently working on his rebounding and paint defense. Nate Robinson isn't exactly pointless for me, but I don't like him cause he's undersized and I cant really give him good minutes. Eugene Jeter is a decent scorer but doesn't fit my style of play, I like PG's who likes to set up teammates, and have decent ability to finish in the in the paint.

So players I can unload/looking to unload is Justin Harper, Nate Robinson, Hassan Whiteside and Eugene Jeter.

What's a realistic trade with these player to get either Jeffries, Osik, or Mbah Moute?

Jeffries is going to be the easiest to acquire out the 3 (with a realistic enough trade anyway). Assuming he is still at NYK, offer them some length, so Whiteside and Justin Harper could be expendable here.

I definitely agree. Ship Harper and Whiteside to NY for Jeffries and maybe a filler to make the contracts work. Then look to see if Nate's trade value could land you Mbah a Moute and maybe a young player who can be developed( Larry Sanders! ) Nate's contract will take atleast 2 guys as Mbah a Moute is on a small contract.

He actually turns in a 99 if I move him to the 2 spot but I'd be left with a undersized backcourt and would lose some defense. as for the PG spot I grabbed Dragic from them so all they have now is Lowry and one other guy i can't think of right now but i think i'll leave the combo of Rose/Dragic instead i started looking to move Asik for a more offensive back up like a Maurice Speights who I thought was perfect but to expenisve( I have no picks or pieces I would like to move to get him) so im thinking of getting Garrett Siler or someone like that to pair with DeAndre Jordan when my starters come out and I can still have a low post presence. I think that would be better than a bunch of shooters and no one to attract the defenders in.

Would anyone happen to know any young, big men who are good in the post?

Man I just lost a heartbreaker to the Milwaukee Bucks 105-102 in game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi's.....We were down the entire game and in the fourth quarter the Bucks blew the lead wide open and went up by as many as 15 points with about 5 mins left in regulation

All of a sudden my sixers forced a couple turnovers and hit a barrage of 3's and we were right back in the game....here's where things go downhill.

the game is tied 102-102 and its Bucks ball with 24 seconds left in regulation so i'm thinking we're just gonna play this out and get to overtime.....then Milwaukee's star PG that they drafted a few seasons ago Otis Cook drives on Kyrie Irving gets fouled and makes the shot for an and 1 with about 3 seconds left.....Cook makes the FT and then I inbounded the ball rushed to take a three with my SF Terrell Newton(Rashard Lewis clone)and he bricked it and the Bucks beat us in game 7 on our home floor.

What a way to end the 2019 season i'm very angry right now lol

The worst part about it is, the Bucks are matched up with the Atlanta Hawks(Team that snatched Tyreke Evans from us in FA)in the Eastern Conference finals so if things go ATL's way, Reke may end up getting another ring....honestly though the Milwaukee team I played has so many weapons they are a very tough team to beat and I think they will win the NBA title

Headed into the offseason now and hopefully we can resign some key players like Terrell Newton, Kyrie Irving, Evan Turner, and Shabazz Muhammad but I know we don't have nearly enough money to keep everybody.

I simulated the rest of the playoffs and low and behold, Tyreke's Hawks beat the Bucks 4-1 in the ECFs and went on to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers 4-3 in the NBA Finals with Tyreke winning his 7th NBA title and 7th finals mvp

Got a huge chip on my shoulder now I hope I meet those Hawks in the playoffs in the 2020 season if we do it will be an **** matchup.

Alright, this is My Post-Yao Association, I played as the Rockets without Yao. I didn't do many trades this time around:
                              PG: K.Lowry/G.Dragic
                              SG:J.Harden/W.Johnson(from T'wolves)/K.Korver
                              SF:T.Williams/C.Budinger
                              PF: P.Patterson(don't remember backups)
                              C M.Hayes, Mohammed(center in Harden trade)/ Thabeet/Asik
So obviously my 6th Man is gonna be W.Johnson. But on the other hand I'm thinking of trading him. I Just played my 1st game and won against the Lakers 97-84.... I put T.Williams on Kobe the whole game and Kobe went 7-20. My main scorer was Harden with 24 Points. Korver was a good help off bench with his Great 3 Point Shooting.

But my question is, how is my lineup? Should I trade away W.Johnson for, say, a better PG Backup? Korver's an Ok Backup so I think I can get something for W.Johnson? Any players I should go for?
                              You Mad Bro?

How did you get James Harden? Solid line up. The way I play I would have Chase Budinger as the 6th man because he is lights out from deep but Wesly is another solid pick. I love T-Will too
