Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm now starting my 4th season with the Detroit Pistons. I've only made the playoffs one time and i was the 8th seed, got swept by MIA. Championship results so far:

    2011: Heat
    2012: Thunder (beat Heat)
    2013: Heat

In the 2013 season the heat had steve nash at 77 ovrl as a sixth man. Upcoming 2014 season Nash retired and they just signed Billups (75ovrl) as his replacement. Could be a repeat.

So for people who have simmed a couple of seasons, how many chips have the Heat won, if any?

Started one with okc, I missed durant and wanted the achievement.

Simmed through season 1 made a bunch of trades on draft day, things fell right and I ended up with barnes, kanter, motiejunas.

      Westbrook
      Barnes
      Durant
      Moti
      Kanter

Love my top 5 and kanter gives me a post game.

My bench, not so good but servixeable and that's what next draft and so on is for.

      Alston
      Thabo
And drew gooden highlight my bench

Currently 2-1 and pondering moving westbrook as he is the 4th option behind kanter

Id love to turn him into javale mcgee and the wiz first this year, but I don't think they would go for that, but mcgee would be a quality big man off the bench at 4 and 5 and if I wanted to go really big put moti at 3, durant at 2 and mcgee at 4

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm a little over halfway through my Bobcats franchise...28-15 surprisingly gunning on Allstar/Default. I had CPU DEF AWR at 40...had to bump it up a bit...getting better

I'm surprised by how many games we're winning when I sim. As a team, we're shooting 46% from the field...and for the Bobcats, that's incredible. The only major trades I made were Chris Andersen for Boris Diaw, signing AI, and Gerald Henderson for Anthony Morrow.

I'm also surprised to see the Heat sitting at 25-19 and 5th in the East. No injuries, no trades...just underperforming. I just beat them tonight by over 15 points as well...there defense was horrendous.

Side note: DJ Augustin is a BEAST midrange and with 3's as well. I'm having a lot of fun watching the little dude come off the bench and give a spark to my team.

We're currently 2nd in the east....and the way things are going, I might have to continue tweaking the sliders to up the challenge.

9-6 with Jazz, currently on 6 game winning streak (5 on road). In January I traded Hayward to Nets, Watson to Hawks in 3-team trade for Morrow and Jordan Carwford. Im controlling 30 team so I made few trades, for example:

Iggy was pissed off cause 76ers were 4-11 in mid January, he avg 13 ppg and arround 38 FG%, so Magic decided to offer Carter for him. Philly cleared some cap space, and Magic get decent player for another few years. Also Denver decided to finally trade JR Smith, and they get Ben Gordon from Pistons - Pistons are 0-10 in my association lol. They also traded Villanueva to Mavs for Butler (exp contract). Calderon and his big conract went to Hawks for Bibby and some picks I suppose.

Love to creating these players storylines

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

simmed through the remainder of the season. finished at 37-45, 10th in the East. OKC won the Championship 4-3 vs Miami (ha, Cleveland still has a chance to win before LeBron does.)

went to the off season task. sucks that Leon Powe did not wanna re sign and test the FA market after I trained him pretty well to be a solid back up (from 59, went up to 64 rating). Resigned Anthony Parker for 2 years at 473K a year (so cheap for a really good talent.)

went on to the Draft lottery. Got picks 5 - 9 (Kings' and T-Wolves' picks got from trade). Tried to sucker Toronto for a trade of their 2nd overall to my 5th plus a 1st round pick next year. They counter offered and asked for JJ Hickson, which I countered and asked for their 2nd round pick (pick 33). They accepted. Got Harrison Barnes as my pick (I have no idea why Washington picked Enas Kanter first over Barnes). Drafted Trey Thompkins at 9th overall, then Chris Wright at 33rd overall.

Signed free agent Patrick Mills and Jarvis Hayes at 473K and 1.45M respectively. I wanted solid rated backups (Mills at 64, Hayes at 66) but not too good so I can have all the playing time for the Starters.

Tried to resign Leon Powe again but he does not want to go to Cleveland no more. Went to Samardo Samuels and signed him for 1.20M for 3 years. Traded Jamario Moon to the Clippers for a 2nd rounder.

will go to the next season.

            current lineup

            Mo Williams
            Xavier Henry
            Harrison Barnes
            Antawn Jamison
            Andy Varejao

            Anthony Parker
            Patty Mills
            Semih Erden
            Jarvis Hayes
            Danny Green
            Samardo Samuels
            Ryan Hollins
            Christian Eyenga
            Marvin Owens (D-Leaguer call up)
JaJuan Johnson (signed as an undrafted rookie, D-League assigned)
            Chris Wright (D-League assigned)

1st game is against the Raptors. I'ma see what Barnes can do...

              Chairman7w's 2010 Kings' Campaign:

I pulled the trigger on the trade, sending disgruntled swingman Garcia (and a draft pick) to the Mav's for Jason Terry. Hoping he can bolster my scoring, and take some of the load off of Tyreke, who's showing signs of early season fatigue, from carrying the entire Franchise and City on his back.

Seemed to work out okay in my first game, as I defeated a game Milwaukee team. Man, their Defense is tough! I was able to pull away late, but it wasn't easy. Next is my annual trip to an ***-Kicking, my once a year visit to Staples. I'm playing the Lakers and (I played a quarter so far) and it's already ugly. They are just STACKED! I'm lucky to be within 6 after one quarter. We'll see how this goes.

I am 1-1 vs the Nets. They seem to match up really well against my Heat. Brooke Lopez and Morrow give me all kinds of trouble!

well, as I posted before, I played against the OKC Thunder.

man, that was the best game so far.

okc was leading by 6 during the halftime. when they came back, durant and westbrook scored like 10 points each, in a row, they could not miss. the lead went up to 25 during the 3rd.

the reserves came to the court, for both teams, and rudy fernandez took over the game, he got 6 threes to cut the lead to 4 points. them the starters came back, I took the lead with 15 seconds remaining, 105-104.

last shot by the thunder, guess who was going to shoot the ball? kd hit the game winner with 3 hands in his face, 106-105 OKC, my first loss of the season.

I wish Wesley Mathews returns soon... oh, and Camby got injured, back spams, day to day.

I sent Meeks to D-league to get his game up. I'll bring him up sooner or later but I love Lou's game.

I'm 11-10 with the Sixers and finally got a win vs. the Blazers 93-79. Evan Turners continues to impress with 26 pts while Iggy added 23 pts and 8 rebs.

Bulls Association, All-Star/Sim 10 minute quarters.

I'm 4-2 so far. Rose, Boozer, and Deng are beasts. Rose is averaging a double-double on the season and Boozer is .3 rebounds away from also averaging a double-double.

Haven't made any moves yet, I like the roster as it is. Taj Gibson is averaging 11 points per off the bench. Brewer adds some lock down D coming off the bench as well.

Had they never switched it from the back button I wouldn't have had this problem.
This is a bug that will be, hopefully, patched.
Nobody knows when the patch will come or if the patch will fix existing Associations.

It is trigged by scheduling weekly practices.

I haven't been able to look through this whole thread, but how are free throw stats looking for you guys? I simmed a couple of seasons with different rosters, and for the most part, many of the stats are good, except free throws. I see the highest teams averaging 39ish free throws, and the lowest averaging 30, when in reality, teams average about 10 less.
