My Celtics beat the Bucks in OT. Rondo went off for 28 points and 12 assists. Then, we turned around and lost at home to the Bulls. The only bright spot of the game was Jarvis Hayes coming off the bench for 15. Rondo had another double-double but Boozer was ridiculous with 34 and 16.
Can't win them all, I suppose.

Has anyone seen the computer value expiring contracts?
I haven't done a whole lot of trading, just a decent amount. But from what I've seen it is not valued at all.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Thought I would have ago at rebuilding the Knicks after they missed out on the big free agents this past summer and rebuild through future free agents.
Simmed through the first season and ended 10th in the eastern conference, had to trade my draft picks along with Ronny Turiaf to create enough cap space to sign a player to a max contract.
With enough space, I managed to pickup Melo to team with Amar'e. Resigned Chandler to a 4 year deal and Azubuike to a 4 year deal with the final year as an option. Still have Felton running the point and had a starting lineup of Felton, Gallinari, Melo, Randolph and Amar'e.
That team ended up getting 50 wins, which only got me the 6th seed in the east. Went out first round to the Hawks unfortunantly, don't know the score because I just simmed through the playoffs, Miami won both titles aswell.
Again, had to do some trades as salary dumps to create space to sign CP3. Traded Chandler, Felton and Douglas away for cheap and was unable to resign Randolph so was coming back with a completely new lineup for next season.
Managed to snag CP3 to join up with Melo and Amar'e and got Rudy Fernandez to start at shooting guard. Still had Azubuike on the roster and used him along with a 1st round pick to get Robin Lopez from Phoenix so I had a starting center so Amar'e could play his natural position of power forward.
Also signed Gabe Pruitt to a minimum contract to backup CP3 because I had no point guard to back him up after trading away both Felton and Douglas. Let the game fill out the rest of my roster and it signed James Posey to a vets min contract along with Illgauskas aswell. Illgauskas was going to be my starting center for awhile until I made the trade to aquire Robin Lopez, didn't want a 37 yeard old as my starting center.
The game also picked up Robery Swift and two drafted rookies aswell, also picked up Keith Bogans aswell to backup Rudy but felt I needed more depth so I used the trade finder to see what the two drafted centers the game signed for me would get. It came up with Joe Alexander and another drafted player. I looked on the Bulls roster and saw Ronnie Brewer had been signed to a vets min deal so switched him with the drafted player Chicago had orginally offered and threw in another 1st round pick and got both Brewer and Alexander on the team.
Brewer got himself promoted to 6th man because he's a better option as a 6th man then James Posey was. My team now is Chris Paul, Rudy Fernandez, Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire and Robin Lopez with Ronnie Brewer, James Posey and Zydrunas Illgauskas as my main bench players with Gabe Pruitt, Joe Alexander, Keith Bogans and Robery Swift backing them up.
Overall, feel good about this time and can actually start playing games now. I enjoy playing games with a team I've created and this one is good.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
In the middle of a 29 game assoc w/ the Bobcats. Anyone know if the CPU will actually make trade offers during the year? Or is the only way to make potential trades is using the trade finder? Also where is the trade block this year?Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I'm running with the Bobcats as well...82 game season on AllStar/default. LOVE the challenge. I'm 8-9 so far. I've played about 8 games and simmed the rest. Just got my teeth kicked in by the Suns...Gani Lawal...WTF dude?!? 65 overall and he played like his Dad just died or something...absolutely murdered me on the glass.
I picked up AI in free agency (like everyone else is doing) and dropped his rating down to 77 to make it more realistic.
Traded for Chris Anderson, JJ Hickson, and Anthony Morrow. Dumped Doris Diaw immediately.
Looking forward to grinding out the year and pushing for the 8th seed in the playoffs again! You shouldn't worry about what others think of you, because if you knew how little they did, you would be insulted.

I am in my first year with the Rockets and I have started the season slow. I have bounce back with a record of 7-8 on a 4 game win streakComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
4-6 with the Sixers, I traded Spencer Hawes and Lou Williams for Roy Hibbert and Jeff Foster from the Pacers. Hawes was a good rebounder but I wasn't scoring well with him and even though I did Like Williams I wanted more minutes for Jrue and Meeks.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
New to 2K series, and loving the game so far.
Started with Cleveland. First thing I did is tried to sucker what I believe would be lottery bound teams to trade their 1st round pick in exchange for my players and/or + my pick. Got Sacramento's 1st + Darnell Jackson for Samardo Samuels + Daniel Gibson (i was like YEAAAAAAH!).
Signed a C (Erick Dampier) for an amazing 460k.
Simmed 10 games and played 3 until I reached half way. Traded for Xavier Henry + Memphis 2nd round in exchange for Joey Graham + 1st round pick (Cleveland's)
Boston offered Semih Erden for Dampier. Revised it and added my 2 2nd rounders in exchange for their 1st. They agreed.
currently at 30-35 right now. 9th in the East. Not doing good as I'm new to the series and I'm still trying to figure out the controls. What makes me happy though is the Kings are at 19-44, which means they're probably Top 5 pick bound, and I have their pick. I smell Jarred Sullinger or Perry Jones at the end of the season.
Current Lineup
Mo Williams
Xavier Henry
Antawn Jamison
JJ Hickson
Anderson Varejao
Ramon Sessions
Anthony Parker
Jamario Moon
Leon Powe
Semih Erden
Ryan Hollins
Danny Green
Christian Eyenga
a D-Leaguer call up I forgot the name.
Sitting at 31-41. looks like I'm gonna miss the playoffs. But I pulled a good last trade during the deadline.
Traded Ramon Sessions back to Minnesota + 1st rounder (from Celtics) for their 1st round pick. Somehow Minny still has cap space for this trade. And whattya know, they say yes.
I might miss the playoffs but, with the Kings and Minny in the bottom of the West, looks like their picks are lottery bound. AND I HAVE THEM BOTH. (evil laugh)Comment
