How did you get Melo? i tried with my knicks but nuggets didnt want anyone

My Kings association is starting take some shape, after a disheartening 100-102 defeat to the Nuggets I managed to recover with 2 back to back wins against the Suns (No Nash, but now with David West) and an OT victory against the Hawks. at 18-12, I'm sitting in 6th place in the conference but I'm not expecting to finish in a playoff spot but it would be an added bonus to have a early post season run. If Tyreke stays healthy the sky is the limit for this team, and if my plan to bring Melo comes to life in the off-season I could have a franchise set for a few years

SF - Melo
PF - Thompson (love his jump-shot)
C - Cousins

That's my plan for next season, if it doesn't happen I should have enough cap space to improve in the forward positions to take my team to the next level

I finally get the game tomorrow!

I am going to do an 82 game season with the Heat.
12 min quarters, play every game. Only sim to end on 4th qtr blowouts (25+)
I am going to play on sim/All-Star, and thats it.
Going to play 6 "pre-season" quick games with the Heat, then get the real season going.
The ultimate goal...

I haven't started my association yet with the bulls what is the problem with carlos boozer

He's just to slow for me, I get a few buckets from time to time, but on D it's another story, I can't seem to stop anyone with him.

Pretty good, unless for a small detail...

I'm STILL waiting for the roster update with the +20 rookies missing to start it, and I hope they change some ratings too.

It hurts my eyes seeing guys like Thaddeus Young with 86 in mid range?? and others like Dante Cunningham with 46.

Started out with the Cavs and traded away some of the old guys like Jamison, Varejo, and even traded away Mo Williams. Ended up getting the twolves 1st rd pick along with some other young players such as Avery Bradley, James Johnson ect. then simmed the first season.

Ended up with lots of cap space in the off season along with the 1st and 4th picks in the draft.

Drafted Perry Jones with the first pick and Harrison Barnes with the second pick.

Then had enough money to sign Carmely to a 5 year deal and Yi Jianlian to a two year deal

Still looking for a starting caliber center.

Need some advice guys concerning starting an association with the Bulls.
I keep hearing that there are tons of issues with this mode and some
player are holding off starting a franchise. But it seems that their are
a lot of players that are playing without waiting for a patch. My question
is are the issues that bad that the association mode is broken until the
patch is released. I still don't understand what the issue with "home court
advantage" is or the drafted players who have a high ratings. I am
itching to start an association I am just scared to do it. What should I
do? Thanks

The biggest problem is that the cpu doesn´t take intentional fouls at the end of the game if they are loosing. I don´t know if someone found a solution to this but it destroys the game for me.

New to 2K series, and loving the game so far.

Started with Cleveland. First thing I did is tried to sucker what I believe would be lottery bound teams to trade their 1st round pick in exchange for my players and/or + my pick. Got Sacramento's 1st + Darnell Jackson for Samardo Samuels + Daniel Gibson (i was like YEAAAAAAH!).

Signed a C (Erick Dampier) for an amazing 460k.

Simmed 10 games and played 3 until I reached half way. Traded for Xavier Henry + Memphis 2nd round in exchange for Joey Graham + 1st round pick (Cleveland's)

Boston offered Semih Erden for Dampier. Revised it and added my 2 2nd rounders in exchange for their 1st. They agreed.

currently at 30-35 right now. 9th in the East. Not doing good as I'm new to the series and I'm still trying to figure out the controls. What makes me happy though is the Kings are at 19-44, which means they're probably Top 5 pick bound, and I have their pick. I smell Jarred Sullinger or Perry Jones at the end of the season.

Im enjoying this game. The only thing I hate is the trade AI. As much as I am happy that I have Sacramento's pick, i think it's to easy to trade for lottery bound picks. I tried trading to Minny Eyenga and The D-Leaguer and the 1st round pick from Boston for Kosta Koufos and their 1st (their at 22-41) and they easily agreed. Reloaded the game coz I though i was "being too unfair for the CPU". I think the trade AI is a little "generous". Also there is so many trades going on. It seems like every month there would be 6-7 trade transactions. I'm all for the fun of players changing teams but if it happen every month, it's not as realistic as I want it to be. And I do not know if I can fix it on Assoc. settings.

Either way, I'm glad I gave this a shot. I was a Live guy since but I'm liking my 2k now.

Starting to dislike this game. Two games in a row I have been outscored by 20+ in the final 5 minutes to choke a game away. Shooting over 50% going into the 4th. Shot maybe over 15% in the 4th. Drew 20 fouls going into the 4th, only got one more called on them and that was with 10 minutes left in the 4th. This game is more scripted than a Hollywood movie.

Just added it up. I have been outscored by 104 points in the 4th quarter in my 15 games. I don't know whats going on. I keep everyone fresh, out o0f foul trouble. I don't make stupid plays in the 4th that cost me, I run the same thing thats been working, it just stops working once the 4th begins. I have only outscored a team in the 4th quarter two, maybe three times this season. The largest margin was by like 8 points too.

I haven't had the honor to play 2k11 yet but, it seems to me that 2k series has always been that way at least for me. In 2k8 I was outscored every 3rd quarter, 2k10 it was always the 4th quarter. If I was up 20 they came back, if I was up by 3 they would pull ahead. I just made it a "storyline" in my season. Pistons 3rd quarter troubles.

CPU indeed plays a bit better in the 4th quarter, as they should and we should too realistically.

You must be twice as careful with the ball, use timeout as soon as needed to break the opponent's momentum, and rely on star players more, especially if you're using clutch factor.

I personally enjoy the tension building in 4th quarter a lot.

I played some more of my Sixers Association. I can’t seem to win a damn game at all. I do sim games so I’m now 8-9 with the Sixers but the 5 games I have played I have LOST! lol…I thought I might be able to blow out the Raptors but Barbosa and Bargnini just lit it up! Bargnini dropped like 40 pts 12 rebs on me while Barbosa added 28! I lost 104-99. I’m like damn what more can I do? My defense SUCKS! Iggy leads my team in REBs at 6.8 a game which is awful!

I also played the Thunder and Durant….holy crap! He didn’t see a shot he didn’t like…he ended up hitting a fade away to win the damn game as time expired beating me 113-111. I was SALTY! He put up 48 on my ***! Evan Turner is now leading my team in scoring averaging 19pts a game but I’m getting no play from my big men. Brand is hurt right now and you should see this fool mosey his butt up court at times…you see him limping but he is “hurt” and not “out” so he is still playing. I did use that trade finder with Iggy to see who I could get for him and got offered Amare Stoudemire from the Knicks who is averaging 29 and 13 for the season so I am VERY tempted to make that trade and then try to trade Brand maybe for some expiring contracts to take the weight of Stoudemire’s contract off my cap. I guess we’ll see. I like Iggy (kinda) but he doesn’t come up in the clutch and apparently can’t play very good defense in this damn game. If I get Stoudemire I can actually play better defense down low and hopefully get rebounds on offense and defense! <o></o>

Kings are now 2-2 after dropping one to the Nuggets.

Carmello was just too much, hitting everything under the sun, looking just like the real Carmello out there. Faders, floaters, dunks, Js.... It was as pretty to look at as it was painful to endure. The game does such an amazing job of capturing their styles and personalities - I love it.

He ended up with like 40.

Tyreke had an excellent game too, but couldn't do it all himself. Still haven't made any trades but really considering that Jason Terry trade, since Garcia has cooled off.

Make that 2-1 after an easy trouncing of the Raptors at Arco. No problems there, especialy after watching Borgagnoni fall to the floor in the first quarter clutching his back (out 1-2 weeks).

Tough stretch coming up though, with Nuggets and Lakers...
