That is A VERY Good YOUNG Lineup. You have the Kind of team that builds. Wall is going to turn into a 95 Beast, and the rest of your young squad should also get a Better overall over the years due to great Potential. I think your team will Definetly win a Championship, but not this year, when EVERYONE on the team has done their max. Potential, your team will match up to the Heat and LA.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
So the decision to make the trade for Lamar Odom right before the trade deadline and make him my starting SF and move Melo to SG was probably the best thing I've ever done since getting this game. Also trading for Ben Wallace early in the season panned out well even with him missing 6 weeks due to a broken wrist. I finished the season with 51 wins giving me the 4th seed in the playoffs. Melo took home the scoring trophy with 29.1 points a game, he was averaging 32 points pretty much the whole season but he got injured the last month of the season and didn't play much so his averages dropped and that probably also cost him the MVP.
Anyways this is what my lineup looks like for the playoffs:
Douglas 77/Alston 72
Melo 94/Fields 72/Walker 66
Odom 82/Balkman 68/Walton 67
Stoudemire 90/Williams 62
Wallace 77/Turiaf 69
note that my players have increased in ratings because of my chemistry being 100 and the morale of all my players are all pretty much maxed out except 1 or 2 bench players.
So far in the playoffs I swept the Magic and then had a really tough battle against the Heat in the 2nd round. I went down 2-0 to start the series but Melo would not lose scoring 64 points in game 4 to tie the series up at 2-2 and then scoring 66 in a double overtime thriller to take the series lead 3-2. I finished the series off 4-2. Now in the conference finals against Chicago, Melo is out for the whole series with back spasms leaving Stoudemire as my main scorer but Odom and Douglas have really stepped it up. Also Turiaf is out with an injury and Alston just comeback for game 4. I'm leading the series 3-0 but man its been tough especially game 3, I thought for sure I was gonna lose that but my bench has been playing really well, that and my inside Defense has been outstanding since the playoffs started.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
So my amazing game with Boris Diaw has got me rethinking my outlook on this year's Bobcats squad. I assumed Boris Diaw was a push over and that I could never make anything happen with him. I lit up the Pacers for 42 points with him last game and figured out how he is used. This has got me thinking.
What if I started with the current roster. Made the starting lineup as follows.
PG: DJ Augistine
SG: Kemba Walker
SF: Corey Maggette
PF: Boris Diaw
C: Tyrus Thomas
6th Man: Gerald Henderson
As long as Henderson is happy coming off the bench that keeps everyone happy. Then with the off season I can resign DJ and resign Boris as a bench player, bump Tyrus to PF and draft a solid center with what should be a lotto pick.
Thoughts? The way to build a good team is not to load it with star players, but to load it with players who play well together with an identity

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Going for it, Charlotte Bobcats 2011-12, Only trade was dumping cap space, traded Diop and Carrol and a '12 1st rounder to LA Clippers for 2 scrubs. Silly for dealing away the pick but the cap space is welcomed as this off season is the official run at CP3 and Dwight lol.
Heres the lineup
PG: DJ Augistine, Daniel Ewing
SG: Kemba Walker, Gerald Henderson
SF: Corey Maggette
PF: Boris Diaw
C: Tyrus Thomas, Bismack Biyombo
Henderson is happy as a 6th man this year and Biyombo is happy as a prospect. Diaw is on the last year of his max contract so I will start him and then look to resign him next year as a bench or role player and then bump Tyrus to PF and Biyombo to Center, and then draft a solid prospect to add to the youth, definitely a SF with Maggette aging.
What do you think? This has to be the fewest trades I have ever made in an association.
UPDATE**
Season 1, Game 1:
@Dallas
Lost a heart breaker 105-103! The boys played great and DJ has officially established himself as the captain of this team. He scored 47 pts and dished out 10 assists with only 2 TOs and connected on 11 threes to complete a stellar performance against a playoff team.
Boris Diaw chipped in with 26 pts and 9 rebs to establish himself as the go to guy when DJ can't get the shot off. Although he will be 30 next season, I am now convinced to send another 4-5 year contract his way as he is really easy to use and scores with ease from deep. For a big guy thats great.
Kemba was definitely the third option and was not given the chances DJ and Boris were but he excelled when called upon. He finished with 18 pts and 7 assists and 0 TOs! Not a bad debut. With this team going blow for blow with Dallas on the road, we should have nothing to fear heading into the season. With the lineup set, I am going to see how the first 10-20 games go before deciding to tank or not. This team could have and should have won this game at Dallas. Not the best team in the league but definitely a team that can cause drama in the post season if given a chance. Think March Madness, lol.
UPDATE!**
GAME 2:
Loss against the Pacers, this one was really frustrating as we played really good ball until the final 8 mins where we quit trying and the other team quickly erased the gap in scoring I had worked so hard on, DJ fouled out with around 55 points, and my offense officially dissolved and began to quit after that, despite Kemba's and Boris' shooting ability. It was the most frustrating game because from the start it looked as if this team was trying to lose. Nothing worse then that but I guess I am going to need a quality SF for the future so tanking this year may be best, but I just love winning too much lol. Its tough to keep take losses lol

you just dont do that , except if you like both of them so much you cant trade them
anyways they are same type of players , score first PG , which makes them less effective when they are playing together , Maggette is old and due to the fact he cant hit a shot he cant be go to guy , Diaw is ok for 30~ minutes or coming of the bench , just because he is great shooter , T.Thomas is beast in this team , he cant be that go to guy too , but he is most solid young power forward you could get , great jump shot , athletic ,great rebounder , good defender.NBA: Miami Heat
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles
MLB: New York MetsComment

I cant agree with you having DJ and Kemba on the same team

I definitely see where you are coming from. This team does lack that guy to go to when points are needed because I am 0-2 right now when I should be atleast 1-1 due to guys not being able to score consistently. We score great in spurts but can't call on it on demand like we should.
The question is, who do you go after? Dorrel Wright was not the answer as he created a mess trying to get guys minutes and was yet another so-so role player. At this point in time, DJ is my offense with Diaw being the next reliable shooter. Kemba is great but is streaky. He is good for 16-18 pts, and 5-7 assists a game. With the team as it is we have some thinking to do because if major moves need to be made, this years the year to do it being as tho we will probably go 20-62 haha.
The current plan is to suck it up and accept that DJ will develop into a solid scorer and is worthy of running the offense for years. I plan to shoot a max contract his way. Develop Kemba into a solid undersized SG( his natural position ) and just have his skill and speed make up for his height. Ride Maggette's contract out, but possibly sign/draft a SF this off season. Re-sign Boris Diaw for a reduced contract to serve as bench scoring, and bump Tyrus to PF, and develop Bismack Biyombo into my center of the future.
What do you guys think of those plans? The way to build a good team is not to load it with star players, but to load it with players who play well together with an identity

Currently 15-15 with the Bucks... I think. I just lost to the Heat. Beating the Heat is hard, especially because I suck at stopping players from driving.Comment

So for those who play all the games, do u control all the players.. or one in general like a PF or PG or what not, or just everyone. it seems like the assisting would be to easy or hard.. if u control the PG just drive and dump it off inside everytime for easier assist or kick it out.Youtube channel

On offense I have the computer run the plays for me and I just go through the motions some games I will have 25-30 assist total, other games I might only have 15-20. But I get good results either way.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I have gotten to an astounding 21-0 record so far this season. I'm not dominating opponents, as it's almost always close going into the last 6 minutes or so, but with my closing group of Wade, Miller, James, Haslem, and Bosh, it's hard to beat my team down the stretch, even though I've come close to faltering quite a few times already.
My roster really has no significant holes other than I could use a bit more efficiency from 2 of the 5 big men in my roster. I have 3-point snipers in Eddie House, Mike Miller, and James Jones, slashers in Kemba Walker, Chalmers, Wade, and LeBron, finesse in Bosh, grit and hustle in Haslem and Anthony, and the bulk and length of Dexter Pittman and Markieef Morris.
My team is simply too hard to beat over 48 minutes with the simple offense that I run that usually involves no more than 1 or 2 passes, just like Miami does in real life.
I'm flying through the season and playing at least 2 games a day because it's so much fun to use this team. It should be playoff time again in no time. Looking forward to it. Let's go Heat!Last edited by Freak123; 07-10-2011, 12:42 PM.Comment
