Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I'm considering making a trade in my Miami Heat association. This would be the deal:
Miami Heat receive:
Gordon Hayward
Utah Jazz receive:
Devin Ebanks
Darius Morris
Chandler Parsons
Myck Kabongo (He is a rookie rated at 63 overall. C+ potential I think, might be C or C- though.)
1st round pick (From the Warriors, who are in playoff position last I checked.)
I signed 3 of those players I'd be trading out of the D-League for the minimum salary, in case anyone is wondering how I got those guys. Kabongo was acquired after a series of small-time moves which involved me getting rid of 3 first-round picks and 2 second-round picks, which also landed me that Warriors pick. He was drafted #28 overall.
Anyways, I was just wondering if this would be a fair trade for both sides. I'm basically doing this because I'm in the second season of my Association and I'm afraid Shane Battier will retire at season's end. I just admire Hayward's game as well and think he would be a great fit. Also, the Jazz record is something like 1-10 so I figured they would want a decent first-round draft pick. My team would then look like this:
PG: Mario Chalmers/Norris Cole
SG: Dwyane Wade/Mike Miller
SF: LeBron James/Shane Battier/Gordon Hayward/James Jones
PF: Chris Bosh/Udonis Haslem
C: Spencer Hawes (free-agent signing)/Joel Anthony/Dexter Pittman
Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.Last edited by Freak123; 03-18-2012, 04:37 PM.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Anyone know if you can import a draft class from college hoops 2k8 into Nba 2k12? Also, does any have an idea of what team I can start an association with that doesn't have a point guard? I want to draft a pg then build from him.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Rate my trade after our fantasy draft. I had 4th pick in my online association with two other humans and they had pick 1 and 3 respectively.
My team after the draft
PG M. Chalmers 73
SG N. Young 72
SF L. James 98
PF G. Monroe 73
C R. Hibbert 76
6- K. Faried 70
7- T. Douglas 69
8- Markieff Morris 67
9- Bill Walker 65
10- G. Neal 65
11- A. Morrow 64
12- J. Evans 56?
I made the the following trade after I traded my two 1st Rd picks for a 1st from a lesser team. That team is now currently in last. So my '12 first is now a potential top 5 pick, with all of that said here is the trade.
ME:
Monroe 73
Morrow 64
Douglas 69
'12 1st (potential top 5)
For
Trailblazers:
Steph Curry 80
C.J. Miles 68
How do you think I came out? Monroe was doing good for me but I want another star to pair with LBJ and I think Curry is that guyComment

Any opinions? Is this a fair trade for both sides? Does it make sense for both franchises? Thanks in advance!Comment

I also like how your team is full of players who can shoot, have elite athleticism, or in some cases (such as Nick Young), both. You built the team really well and ending up keeping an elite center in the league like Roy Hibbert.
One thing I would try though is maybe get a better backup center. To do that I would consider trading C.J. Miles, Bill Walker, and Jeremy Evans. Reason I say this is you have two PF's coming off of the bench yet no center.
Even if you don't make another move, it looks like a solid team that could compete for a championship with the addition of Stephen Curry and the post-presence of Roy Hibbert to surround your star player in LeBron James.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
After the First season of my Association as the Knicks I needed a SG because JR Smith declined his Player Option and was going to get the MLE I couldn't offer him elsewhere and Fields was doing the same. I was planning on using my 1st RD pick (24) to draft someone to play behind Shump but instead made this deal, which I think works out fairly for both sides.
Wizards Get:
Pick 24
Toney Douglas
Knicks Gets:
Jordan Crawford
The reason I feel like this works well for both sides is because the Wizards took Austin Rivers in the Lottery (5th/6th I think) and still have Nick Young (who started in front of Crawford and produced well) therefore Crawford slid to 3rd in the pecking order for the 2 and Washington still needed a 3rd string PG behind Wall/Mack, the pick added incentive which they used to draft a Backup Center (Meyers Leonard, which they needed), and then used their 2nd round pick to add LeBryan Nash (as SF they needed).
So all things considered the Wizards walk away from the draft with Austin Rivers, Meyers Leonard, LeBryan Nash and Toney Douglas while losing Jordan Crawford, they fill 4 holes and ship out a player who would've gotten minimal playing time (and possibly became disgruntled).Red Sox, Giants, Knicks, Liverpool FC, Bruins, UConnComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
In my off-season I increased the potential of Darius Morris by sending him to a potential camp, so his potential is now at a 77 I believe. So I decided instead of trading all of those pieces for Hayward and just creating a logjam of minutes for them, I would just trade Morris for another first-rounder to package in the deal for Hayward. The deal would now look like this:
Miami Heat receive:
Gordon Hayward
Utah Jazz receive:
Devin Ebanks
Chandler Parsons
Myck Kabongo (#28 pick in the 2012 draft)
2 first-round picks (One acquired from Warriors, who are a top-4 team in the West last I checked, and one acquired from the Clippers, who are a top-8 team in the West last I checked.)
Any opinions? Is this a fair trade for both sides? Does it make sense for both franchises? Thanks in advance!Last edited by kevinmerida; 03-20-2012, 08:11 AM.Comment

Yeah good trade, possibly could have even gotten nick young, but more than likely the wiz would play young at SF and Rivers at SG if they had both. If they still have Lewis they could play him at PF and Mcgee or whoever at C. The wiz need shooters and a low post scorer to maximize Wall. Crawford will be servicable for you off the bench tooComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I just had this trade accepted its just awaiting vetting.
Magic(Me) Give:
CJ Miles 68
Gary Neal 65
Magic Get:
Marcin Gortat 73
Gortat is going to be my backup to Hibbert so hes kind of expensive but for now I have plenty of cap and need a solid backup to make a championship push.
My Team after the trade:
PG- Curry 80
SG- Young 73
SF- Lebron 98
PF- Faried 70
C- Hibbert 76
6- Teague 74
7- Gortat 73
8- Markieff Morris 67
9- Walker 65
10 - Evans 54
11- Ayon 64
12 - Petro
Kind of regret trading neal and miles because it leaves me with too many bigs, but Im going to try to move Ayon and Petro for a SF or just sign Korver because hes a FA.Comment
