Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

      Rebuilding the Suns.

3 team trade, that I feel is very realistic involving Phoenix, Miami, and Houston.

I ship Nash, Grant Hill, Channing Frye, and Hakim Warrick to Miami.

Miami sends Chris Bosh to Phoenix, Mike Miller to Phoenix, and two (presumably late) first round picks to Houston.

Houston sends Goran Dragic back to Phoenix, along with Samuel Dalembert.

Bottom Line Phoenix: The Suns not only get talent, but younger. By bringing Bosh and having them be their go-to, they get a 25-10 guy, and a young player while getting rid of Nash/Hill. They also pick up Goran Dragic back from Houston who proved to be more than capable during his time in Phoenix. Dalembert was a throw in, with a 6m expiring contract, but can fill in when needed and provides defense.

Bottom Line Miami: By giving up Bosh, the Heat are essentially all in for the next 2 years. In picking up Nash, they get an elite PG who is an immediate major upgrade over Chalmers, but who only has a year or two left, along with Grant Hill, a player with a year or two left but can do everything well and can either add tremendous depth off the bench, or start at the 3. Miami can be a run and gun team and either start Hill at the 3 and Lebron at the 4, or slow it down and go Lebron at the 3, and Haslem at the 4. Both Nash and Hill fit in with Miami well, and it gives Nash a chance to play out East for a title contender. Channing Frye is just the type of player they need who can space the floor and hit 3's. The Heat were not likely to get much value out of their late round picks anyway, and gave them to Houston.

Bottom Line Houston: Houston will now have 3 first round picks this year, and 2 next year, in an attempt to overhaul their roster. They were unlikely to resign Dragic, along with Dalembert, so the move was made purely for the future.

IS this fair Fair trade i was thinking of doing this.
I would move J Smooth back to the three spot and Maybe sign greg oden to ATl
The Amare=Horford is not fair in favor to the ATL of course then you've added a 1st draft pick that made it even worse for the Knicks.

I disagree. Amare's contract is one of the most undesirable on the NBA plus he has injury issues.

His tradevalue would be lower than expected

You are ripping off miami hard.

They are losing bosh miller and 2 first round picks for what...
Two vets who will retire in a year, and 2 scrubs who probably wont even play 15 mins a game combined.

Nash is an upgrade over chalmers...but the downgrade from losing bosh is much more noticeable.

Plus Nash is 38....bosh is what 27-29?

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

I started an Online Association with the Philly 76ers with their real roster. I decided when I first started that, while Philly has a great cast of guards and Small Forwards, their bigs leave a lot to be desired.

                Trade 1:

                76ers Give Up:

                PF -Elton Brand
                SF -Andre Igoudala
                SF -Sam Young
                2013 first rounder

                Lakers Give Up:

                PF -Pau Gasol
                PF -Josh McRoberts
                SF - Metta World Peace

                Trade 2:

                76ers Give Up:

                PG - Louis Williams
                SF - Andres Nocioni
                2012 1st rounder

                Mavericks Give Up:

                SG - Jason Terry
                SG - Kelenna Azubuike
                C - Ian Mahinmi

Lemme know what you guys think.

Brand, Iggy, Lou Will, and 2 first rounders for pretty much Pau, Jason Terry and Artest?

Idk about that! But I have to admit, Pau is one of my favorite players to use online, him in the post is just WOW. So I guess it is good if you like the players you traded for, which I assume you do!

Nash/Hill both have expiring contracts for 17 million total. Heat gain much needed cap space. There is already talk Bosh might be on his way out after this year anyway.

I resculpted the trades and made a few other trades.

                      Trade 1:

                      Philadelphia 76ers
                      Elton Brand

                      Pau Gasol
                      Josh McRoberts
                      Metta World Peace

                      Trade 2:

                      Philadelphia 76ers
                      Spencer Hawes
                      Andres Nocioni
                      2012 1st rounder

                      for

                      Dallas Mavericks
                      Ian Mahinmi
                      Jason Terry
                      2012 1st rounder

                      Trade 3:

                      Philadelphia 76ers
                      Louis Williams
                      Lavoy Allen

                      for

                      Indiana Pacers
                      George Hill

                      Trade 4:

                      Philadelphia 76ers
                      Nikola Vucevic
                      Jodie Meeks

                      for

                      Toronto Raptors
                      James Johnson
                      2013 2nd rounder

                      Trade 5

                      Philadelphia 76ers
                      Craig Brackins
                      Tony Battie

                      for

                      Denver Nuggets
                      Corey Brewer
                      2012 2nd rounder

                      Summary:
I also signed Greg Oden to a one-year deal and lot of these moves were designed to give me skilled size, (Gasol, Mahinmi, Oden), a tough bench, (Hill, Terry), And a much tougher defense with Peace and Brewer. Plus, I dropped the dead weight of Battie and Brackins for example.

Nash is an upgrade over Chalmers, but the Heat don't need the ball handler. LeBron can handle the ball. He's much better with the ball in his hands than without it, same with Wade. I get that Nash would be able to distribute to the rest of the team, but it's not worth losing a solid big man in Bosh.

Hill isn't really the piece they need, at all. He's nice to have coming off the bench I suppose, but they don't need another small forward.

Frye is a guy that can spread the floor, but he's going to get abused defensively and is a liability on that end of the court. Bosh had almost an identical role in Miami. And had more versatility in his offensive game to complement the other 2 stars.

The Heat's draft picks aren't worth much value because they're going to be so late in the draft. I guess it's not bad if Dragic and Dalembert weren't going to resign, but I can't help but feel like you robbed Houston on this one. Now all Houston has at center is Marcus Camby? And the only good point guard they have is Kyle Lowry? C'mon now.

The Suns clearly got the best end of this deal. They give up 2 guys near retirement, a soft big in Frye, and a bench warmer in Warrick and get back a nice young point guard, one of the best offensive bigs in the game, a defensive minded center, and a gunner off the bench.

Sorry, but it just doesn't seem like a fair deal to me.

Im Orlando about halfway thru the season, im thinking about trading Dwight Howard just to make a switch to the team although I have a cool record (24-12).

                          Orlando trade: Dwight Howard

Clippers trade: Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan, First round pick

I already got rid of Hedo. I know its not a trade that would really happen but I dont think its too far fetched. Clippers are title contenders with their squad after this trade with Billups not injured in my season & im fine with having to build around Griffin, Ive really wanted to build around him just dont want to play with the Clippers.

I don't think LAC would do it, especially not giving up DeAndre and a 1st on top of Blake Griffin.

                            I'm Washington trading with Minny:
                            Was Gives:
                            Jordan Crawford (72)
Andray Blatche (76 but he's poison)
                            Chris Singleton (73)

                            Minny gives:
                            Derrick Williams (71)
Anthony Randolph (71 but unhappy and a 63 that wants out)
                            Malcolm Lee (66)

Basically I have too many rotation players right now. I'd like to add a PF that can step out and make Js and also finish at the rim. I drafted MKG so have no use for Singleton and signed JR Smith and don't want Jordan Crawford. This trade will also help out Minny's backcourt.

Im thinking of trading westbrook to make my game more challenging and balanced. I won a title and thinking of placing rw to a team where he will be the new star. I like to get a young and rising guard to complement kd and ibaka:

Options: (package of players included to balance salary but i will only mention my target)
                                1- irving
Pros- 84 A potential, reliable inside and outside offense
Cons- cp3 signed with cavs and two pg stars is not realistic

                                2-wall
Pros 84 A+ potential, high flyer
Cons- other players to be in trade package is not interesting

                                3-steph curry
Pros 86 A potential, outside shooter
Cons weaker defender compared to rw

                                4-rubio
Pros 84 A+ potential great passer
Cons a bit lacking in offense

                                5- d rose
                                Pros Mvp
                                Cons not realistic

                                Thoughts?
