Can someone tell me what they think about this trade in my Magic association that was offered to me (not trade finder, from the calendar)

Magic Get:

SG Steven Jackson 84 - Age- 32 3 yrs about 28 million left on his contract
C Desanga Diop 58 - Age 28 2 years 13.5 million left with a player option for 7.4 million for the third year

Bobcats Get

SG Vince Carter 81 - Age 34 17.3 million this year, with an 18 million dollar TEAM option next year.

Thoughts? It is right before the trade deadline and I am 3rd in the East at 37-19 (3.5 back) and Charlotte is 7th in the East at 28-25 (11.0 games back) If it matters, they are who signed Allen Iverson. Thanks for any input.

Just do it! Vince usually retires after 2012 season anyways.

I wouldn't do it. You don't upgrade the SG spot a whole lot, and Diop's contract is horrible.

yeah he do upgrade beause he get a better three-point shooter and a better defenseive player. diop contract is bad but can be used as good tradebait.

i mean carter is a bum now in his career so he gettin a upgrade

When I start my Celtics association tonight I'm going to try and make some moves to get 'em younger. I can't really bring myself to trade Paul Pierce...just a loyalty thing. Ray Allen I might have to get rid of, but only if I can find a great three-point shooter in return. KG might have to go as well.

Okay, I started an Assoc. with the Knicks with the the main intention of bringing in Rondo to run the point. Unrealistic that may be, but Rondo is my favorite player and I rarely get to use him. So here is the trade I worked out for him.

Knicks get:
Rajon Rondo

Celtics get:
Raymond Felton
Anthony Randolph
2011 1st Round
2012 1st Round

Thoughts?

When I start my Celtics association tonight I'm going to try and make some moves to get 'em younger. I can't really bring myself to trade Paul Pierce...just a loyalty thing. Ray Allen I might have to get rid of, but only if I can find a great three-point shooter in return. KG might have to go as well.

In mine I traded Garnett and got Josh Smith....best decision I made in my association EASILY.

How's this trade I just did?

Celtics 1st rounder (I have 3 this year) and Jermaine O'Neal (my 3rd stringer), for Marcus Banks and Raptors 1st rounder. It gives me a guaranteed lottery pick, I get rid of O'Neal before he gets pissed cause of playing time, and Banks has pretty solid defense if he needs to step up if someone gets hurt.

His rating may be higher than Carter's, but if you time his shot right, Carter is automatic from 3pt...

About a month in on my Hawks dynasty (currently 2nd place). I have yet to get any production out of Marvin Williams and decided to finally get an upgrade for my starting SF spot.

Got this trade worked out last night and was accepted (which I was completely surprised by).

Hawks get:
Terrance Williams
Travis Outlaw

CPU gets:

Jamal Crawford
2012 2nd round pick


My plan is to have Terrance Williams in the starting SF spot and rotate him over to SG if Johnson goes to the bench and bring in Outlaw.

First game after the trade Williams went off for 36 points 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Outlaw had a solid 2nd half and ended w/ 18 points 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.

This was a total win imo because I didn't plan on resigning Crawford in the off-season (since he usually asks for a messton of cash) and I really needed an upgrade from Marvin Williams (who was only averaging like 7 points a game so far through the season). I still have Marvin Williams to come off the bench along w/ Outlaw so I strengthened my bench as well w/ the trade (usually get Outlaw around 15-20 minutes per game w/ Terrance taking a nice chunk of playing time around the same as Joe Johnson)

Just started an association with the Celtics. Beginning my plan to slowly phase out the older guys. Paul Pierce is hard to get rid of given the real-life loyalty. Ray Allen's shot is too silky for me to give up the first week of the season...so KG had to go, being older than Paul Pierce.

Got rid of: Kevin Garnett, Avery Bradley

Got: Zach Randolf, and I think a draft pick.

I'm thinking about making a move for a new Center...Perkins is third on the depth chart behind two older guys, Jermaine O'Neal and Shaq. I'm thinking about trading two of my four centers (still have Erden in the fourth slot) in return for one better one.

Alright, I'm still looking to trade Thabo Sefolosha in my Utah Jazz association and I've narrowed it down to one of three guys:

SG JR Giddens from the Kings- Only a 58 overall and not really all that great at anything. But, he's only on a one-year deal and the Kings will trade him for Thabo straight up.

SG JJ Redick from the Magic- He's becoming unhappy being on the bench in Orlando and he's a great shooter. Exactly what I'm looking for. Bad news is, they won't take just Thabo. I'm pretty sure I would have to include somebody I don't want to get rid of.

SG Nick Young from the Wizards- Same as Redick, he's becoming unhappy being on the bench. Same as Redick again, they won't take just Thabo. I've always liked Young and I always seem to end up with him on my team.

So, do I pull the easy trade and just get Giddens? My production on O would be about the same, since Thabo never scores. Or do I get Redick or Young? It would be nice to have somebody come off the bench that is a scorer and these two fit the mold perfectly.
