Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
But I finally solved my problems. Shaq obviously still thinks he's in his prime and deserves lots of minutes, it bad enough I let him start over Mozgov. Bill Walker was complaining about minutes off the bench he was playing a good 23 minutes and wasn't satisfied and Mickael Pietrus just didn't do anything for me. He's a good shooter but I can't get his release right at all and sometimes he was suspect on defense.
So Iverson was unhappy in Denver, and I checked the rumor mill they said Iverson for Walker is a possible deal.
Nuggets Trade:
Allen Iverson
Gary Forbes
Larry Sanders
2nd rd pick
Knicks trade:
Bill Walker
Mickael Pietrus
Shaq
2nd rd pick
So my lineup is now
CP3
Gary Forbes
Melo
STAT
Mozgov
AI as 6th men coming off the bench.
Nuggets lineup
Ty Lawson
Aaron Afflalo
Wilson Chandler
Enes Kanter
Bill Walk and Pietrus comming off their bench. Who got the better trade?Add me om PSN for a good game of basketball!

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I am starting a bulls franchise and i've updated all of the draft picks to reflect actuality (Bulls have Heat 1st rounder this year as well as Bobcats future)
I want to get rid of Boozer but am having a hard time getting "fair" value for him.
Using the trade finder i can get Joe Johnson, Kevin Love, or Andrea Barngnani straight up for him. All of these deals are total rip offs. Atlanta, Minnesota, and Toronto would never make these deals.
In fact i can get Love and Wesley Johnson for Boozer, Brewer, and a 1st rounder. I know that Minny may look to trade Love but i think they'd need more than this. At the very least it would have to be Boozer, Asik, Brewer, and a couple of first rounders.
Thoughts?Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
I liked the idea of Martin to the Bulls, but ideally i'd have a combo guard who'd be Rose's backup so i'm looking into eric gordon, monte ellis, and joe johnson.
For now here are the trades i made:
Bulls: Boozer, Brewer
Rockets: Martin, Thabeet
Bulls: Bobcats 12 1st round, Bulls 11 1st round
Wolves: Wesley Johnson
Wolves: Beasley, Bulls 11 1st round
Rockets: Patrick Peterson, Terrence Williams
I use 30 team control after i've made all the deals
Here are the rotations:
Bulls:
Rose 40
Martin 38
Deng 38
Gibson 32
Noah 36
Johnson 24
Asik 24
Watson 8
Wolves:
Flynn: 36
Korver: 24
Williams: 36
Patterson: 30
Love: 38
Ridnour: 24
Randolph: 28
Webster: 24
Rockets:
Lowry: 36
Lee: 20
Beasley: 36
Boozer: 36
Ming: 30
Scola: 30
Brewer: 20
Budinger: 20

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Year 2 before the beginning of the season. As the Lakers.
Lakers Trade
Andrew Bynum (ORL)
Pau Gasol (MIN)
Lamar Odom (MIN)
Luke Walton (ORL)
'12 & '13 1st Round Picks (ORL)
'14 & '15 1st Round Pick (MIN)
Magic Trade
Dwight Howard (LAL)
Gilbert Arenas (LAL)
Chris Parsons (MIN) (rookie cap filler)
T'Wolves Trade
Anthony Randolph (LAL)
Martell Webster (ORL)
Michael Beasley (LAL)
Trey Thompkins (ORL)
After losing both Barnes and Brown in the offseason the Lakers need to rebuild their team as they are without much of a bench. Bringing in Dwight has not only been talked about but a lot of people expect it to happen.
The Lakers kill multiple birds with one stone with this deal. They strip down their front court and rebuild, essentially trading out Bynum for Howard, Gasol for Randolph and Odom for Beasley. Obviously coming out huge with Howard as the main prize, they get younger and more athletic but less skilled at the 3 and 4, but also add 2 player's to grow around Howard as Kobe grows older. They become saddled with Arenas' contract, but with Fisher and Blake showing serious signs of age, and all of their other options being extremely subpar, he may wind up being more useful than originally anticipated. Expecting to compete for a title in the year's to come, they don't expect to miss much with the 4 picks they sent out.
PG - Giblert
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - Michael Beasley
PF - Anthony Randolph
C - Dwight Howard
6 - Ron Artest
Bench - Tracy McGrady, Devin Ebanks, Derrick Caracter, Steve Blake, Derek Fisher
The Magic obviously want to get something for Dwight Howard just as they did for Shaq, they've shown they won't let their star's walk and leave them empty handed. Avoiding the season shenanigans that followed Melo all year they pull the string before the season starts. They wind up "replacing" Howard with perhaps the second best Center in the league in Bynum, they also dump Agent 0's massive contract, cutting roughly $50 million from the payroll over the next 3 years while also picking up 2 1st round draft picks. Bynum and Bass leave them with a formidable front court especially with Thompkins, Hill and Orton all coming off the bench with fresh legs and Hedo who can still slide to the 4.
PG - Jameer Nelson
SG - Jason Richardson
SF - Hedo Turkoglu
PF - Brandon Bass
C - Andrew Bynum
Bench - JJ Reddick, Martell Webster, Trey Thompkins,Jordan Hill, Daniel Orton, Chris Duhon
The T'Wolves, while the 3rd team in, do alright for themselves in the process of working as a cap mediator. They switch out Randolph who has questions of maturity and is slowly capping out in the mid 70's for the most skilled big man in the league in Gasol and replace Beasley with Odom. This let's them slide Gasol to the 5 while Kanter develops over the next 3 years. With Love's contract up next year they can now pay him while letting Odom walk if they wish, saving the money they would've had to pay Beasley for Wesley Johnson who is the team's new starting SF. With Irving, Flynn, Rubio AND Ridnour all at PG, they still have the flexibility to make another move or two and add to the team if they wish, like the Magic, they also receive 2 picks.
PG - Kyrie Irving
SG - Jamal Crawford
SF - Wesley Johnson
PF - Kevin Love
C - Pau Gasol
Bench - Lamar Odom, Enes Kanter, Jonny Flynn, Ricky Rubio, Luke Ridnour, Wayne Ellington, Lazar Hayward, Chris Parsons.Red Sox, Giants, Knicks, Liverpool FC, Bruins, UConnComment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Year 1, first week of February (38 played games) - 21-29 record
NEW JERSEY NETS
was just offered a trade by the Pacers with 2 weeks before the deadline- Pacers offer Dahntay Jones for Ben Uzoh and 2nd Round Pick (2012). I accepted it, because Jones is a good defender and made Anthony Morrow a role player. Morrow was good but just cannot play defense, not with Jones he can help out a lot.
Currently on a 3 game winning streak.
rotation:
PG- Deron Williams
SG- Dahntay Jones
SF- Travis Outlaw (currently injured)
PF- Paul Millsap
C- Brook Lopez
6- Damion James (starting SF)
Role Players:
Sasha Vujacic
Anthony Morrow (sixth man till Outlaw is healed)
Jordan Farmar
Quinton Ross
Kris Humphries
Bench:
Johan Petro
Mario West
Stephen Graham (RES)
Oleksiy Pecherov (RES)Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
What do you guys think of this trade?
Cleveland trades: Ramon Sessions, receives: Portland's 2012 1st round pick
Portland trades: 2012 1st round pick, Marcus Camby, receives: Samuel Dalembert
Sacramento trades: Samuel Dalembert, receive Marcus Camby
I hit the trade button not expecting the trade to go through to see what any counter offers would be, but it went through.Comment

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread
Got a few trades I'm mulling over right now... Let me know what you guys think...
Season 3, at the All Star break... Cavs (30-24) 3rd in the Eastern Coference
Trade 1:
Cavs trade
PG - Jared Bayliss (67)
SG - Reggie Bullock (74)
C - Anderson Verejao (70)
PF - Antwan Jamison (71)
1st round pick
Hornets trade
PG - Chauncey Billups (79)
SF - Trevor Ariza (77)
C - Emeka Okafor (76)
This deal would give me a great veteran off the bench in Billups. Ariza would probably start at the SG for me. Also, this would improve my C position dramatically. Billups is 36yr old, but, still has a few solid years left as a 6th man imo.
Trade 2:
Cavs trade
SG - Reggie Bullock (74)
Bobcats trade
SG - Stephen Jackson (77)
This deal would give me a solid scorer and defender at the SG position. Jackson is much older than Bullock, so, Bullock will progress beyond what Jackson is rated right now.
Trade 3
Cavs trade
C - Anders Varejao (70)
PF - Antwan Jamison (71)
1st round pick
Blazers trade
C - Greg Oden (72-3)
I think I might be short changing myself with this one. Oden is upset with his role in Portland, I'm not really sure why, but, he is lol. This would improve my C position, but wouldn't give me any backcourt help.
Trade 4 - Might be a little far fetched
Cavs trade
PF - JJ Hickson (82)
C - Anderson Varejao (70)
1st round pick
Mavs trade
PF - Dirk Nowitzki (83)
C - Tyson Chandler (72)
This deal may seem unfair at first glace because of Dirk's recent run in the real life Playoffs. However, in my association, 3yrs down the road, I honestly don't think it looks that bad... JJ Hickson has just signed a new deal for 6yr $101m, and is only 24yr old with B pot. I think (in my association) this deal could be a good one for both teams...
Right now, I'm leaning towards Trade 1Comment
