    Proposal #1:

LAKERS GET: Dwight Howard (ORL), Gilbert Arenas (ORL)
MAGIC GET: Chris Paul (NO), Pau Gasol (LA), Emeka Okafor (NO)
HORNETS GET: Andrew Bynum (LA), Jameer Nelson (ORL), Derek Caracter (LA), Daniel Orton (ORL)

    Proposal #2:
    NETS GET: Dwight Howard
MAGIC GET: Brook Lopez, Damion James, '11 1st Round Pick & '12 1st Round Pick

Option 1 is basically a shuffling of some great players. Option 2 is more of a start of a rebuild for Orlando.
Proposal 1 isn't a horrible trade, my biggest issue is that arguably the two most valuable pieces that NO gets play the same position. Plus, I doubt that Paul will re-sign with ORL if Howard won't, which I guess makes this not very plausible.

The second proposal is more of a robbery for the Nets, but I think is the more realistic of the two trade proposals, I think overall there would be more moving parts, but the framework is good.

In 2nd year of 30 user controlled team association. Been playing with the Heat lately and I'm looking at replacing Bosh with a more defensive minded power forward who can also rebound. Got plenty of scoring at the 1, 2 and 3 so I'm happy to have a defensive 4. Any suggestions?

It depends on what you want at the four for value of Chris Bosh, I can't think of any off the top of my head that would be similar value to him, but Serge Ibaka is one of my favorite defensive 4's, then you can pick up a nice bench player like Thabo and maybe a pick in the process. Otherwise Bismack Biyombo if you have Draft classes, But aside from those two, not entirely sure on 4's who fit the bill you're looking for especially at value of Chris Bosh.

Thanks for the reply mate, well at the moment I've got Iverson, Wade and LBJ at the 1, 2 and 3 respectably. I've then got Dalembert at centre and plenty of scoring off the bench in Delonte West, G Hill and Tmac. It may not be realistic but I'm in season 2, I've given each team there real life draft picks and I like to think I've strengthened each team.

I just feel like I have no use for Bosh, as most of my scoring comes from the 1, 2 and 3 spots. I rarely even go to him so I'd like to have a more defensive minded player there but your right in terms of value. Makes it very hard.

That's a really good trade for the blazers. They get rid of Roy who is injury prone for Harden who's a good shooter and at times doubles as a good scorer too. Daye is a project player but coming off the bench he might be able to fill a role as he's not expected to receive much playing time or expected to develop quickly as Aldridge has already locked up PF. But the piece of this trade that is really valuable to the blazers is that first round pick as I'm assuming it's going to be a lottery pick. This pick gives them real chip to bargain with in trading for another key player or drafting a player to help out immediately as a role player.

The Pistons seem to be giving up an awful lot in this trade to get Roy. I have no idea how he is doing in your association, but to me that's an awful lot to give up for a player who has injury problems like Roy has had in the past. But then again if he's healthy and playing up to his potential, they probably would need to give up what they gave up. Plus shedding the contract and burden of Ben Gordon is always a good thing.

The thunder in this deal come out neither on the plus side or negative side in my estimation. Ben Gordon if his contract is expiring can help clear the books and free up cap space for them, and the 1st round pick in 2013 might be a lottery pick which will help them add another impact player to an already solid young nucleus. It seems to me the Thunder are following a two to three year plan to become real contenders for the title for the next decade. Overall, winner of this trade is teh Blazers in a well thought out and fair trade for all teams.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

Near trade deadline in my first season, New Jersey Nets announce they are blowing their team up, so:

Clippers (Me) trade: Eric Gordon, Mike Dunleavy, Clippers' 2011 1st round pick, Orlando's 2011 1st round pick (both currently mid-lottery)

                Nets trade: Deron Williams

Reasoning behind this is that Clippers get all-star point guard and power forward combo, whilst Nets get a star (potential future superstar?) in Gordon, as well as cap space from Dunleavy's expiring deal and two additional lottery picks in this year's draft.

                Thoughts?

Yeh, at least temporarily. Seems that they will be tanking this season, and making a run at Irving/Knight/Walker with their 3 lottery picks.

It's decent for the Blazers, as a platoon of Harden/Matthews is easier to work with than Roy/Matthews, Detroit is pretty meh on this It's nice they get rid of Ben Gordon and his contract, but getting Brandon Roy really doesn't help them at all, and they lose three picks in the process. Roy is a better player, but injury prone, and I'd just as soon think Detroit would go into full on rebuild instead of getting someone like Roy. Thunder get raped for the most part as Harden fits there team perfectly(tenacious defender, and can make occasional shots, and plays within his means) is a great glue guy, and replace him with Ben Gordon who is a volume shooter who doesn't play defense very well, when they already have two shooters in Durant and Westbrook. The picks should be ok, but if something isn't broke, they shouldn't fix it.

definitely has the parts working for a trade, the two first round picks are a nice touch, the ten million coming off the books is nice, and Gordon is a nice piece, it's comparable to what they gave up to get Deron Williams, so I can't say much, it just feels like it's missing that normal mid-tier role player that normally tags along in these trades.

Well, if we're going for realism, it's awful. If we're going for just team value, it's awful. In fact, in just about every way it's awful. NY gets LeBron who plays the same natural position as Carmelo Anthony and the Heat get Amare who plays the same natural position as Chris Bosh. Moving superstars from their natural positions to accommodate isn't the best idea.

not to be rude or anything but this is a bad trade seeing that I have gone up to the 2018 season in the game, Amare rating declines enough and you got shaq and grant hill who will most likely just retire at seasons end and then you add chriss quinn and deshawn stevenson, stevenson just gonna decline as well.

Lebron is gonna stay 90 rating and be able to do what he does from year one in the game for alot of seasons.

Bad trade next time before the season starts look at a team that you think will most likely do **** and see what they offer for there first round pick they usually don't want much at all before seasons start. you can get a good rookie that way instead of the trade u made.
