So much for the end of this argument.. The Heat have LeBron and Wade. They ought to always contend.

And the Grizzlies always make it to at least the WCF in the first year of all the Associations that I've done already. (10+) They continuously are contenders in the west along with L.A., Dallas, and OKC.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

I need help. So last year when I simmed the full season I forgot all about keeping players happy. Now Kevin Love says "Why would I have any reason to resign with this team" Basically saying after the bad treatment last year, he's fed up and wants out. Darko is also in the same boat as Kevin. I have until the trade deadline to make Kevin happy and make him want to stay in Minny, but most likely I might not be able to do that. So I'm thinking of packaging Love and Darko to get some valuable pieces from them in a trade, instead of them just walking and I get left with a big middle finger in my face. Darko is upset because I gave his starting spot to Enes Kanter. The reason why I did this is because according to the ratings, Kanter is a 6 point upgrade. So who should I try to get for Love and Darko?

        My current roster:
        Luke Ridnour/Ricky Rubio
        Wesley Johnson/Korver/Ellington
        Michael Beasley/Shane Battier
        Kevin Love/Anthony Randolph/Brian Cardinal
        Enes Kanter/Darko/Anthony Tolliver

        Any suggestions?

That makes no sense, what do you judge trade's off of if not how it will affect the future? I wasn't "justifying" anything because

          A. it's my game, I have no one to justify anything too
          b. I already knew the trade would help all 3 teams

The only point of that post was too try and help you 2 understand that the trade isn't as lopsided as you're both trying to make it seem.

How is Memphis not making the playoffs improving them? And Miami was already really good, it still is lopsided.

You misunderstood me because I phrased it stupidly. I meant it as they missed the playoffs the first year of the association (2010-2011), I made the trade after that year and the first year after the trade (this upcoming season) they made the playoffs, they went from the 10th seed to the 6th, Miami went from 3 to 1.

I was going to say, that isn't much of an improvement. :P
Congrats on your trade and all, I just have a problem with Rudy being signed to a max deal and then being shipped out, you know?
But hey, it's your Association and you made out insanely well. I'm sick of arguing about a game.

                    Not Enough, IMO.

Noah, Deng, Asik, Gibson would be the better deal. Boozer's on a bad contract and Chicago's picks are so low that they're worth very little.

Sounds good, might give that a try.

any possible ideas of where i should move Boozer?

i was thinking for LaMarcus Aldridge or a player of his type.

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

If we're speaking realistically, GL getting anything for Boozer, as far as the Orlando deal, what I would do is try and get picks for other players(normally in TF Jersey and Sac are giving them up) and trade someone like Gibson or Deng for a first, then swap Noah/Gibson/Boozer/1st/1st(separate trade) for Howard, that's at least giving them two young players (Gibson/Noah) plus two potential players(two firsts) that they can do whatever they want. I still think it's lopsided for Chicago, but there aren't many deals out there that won't be.

As far as the other trade goes, you're justifying it by future results. No matter which way you slice your pie in the future, at the time it looks ridiculously lopsided. Look at MEM-LAL trade, sure it wasn't THAT bad for MEM, but it was ridiculously lopsided when it happened. Memphis did it because they WEREN'T a playoff team, and had time to wait and develop the guys they acquired(mainly just Marc Gasol lol) In your scenario, the trade is lopsided because you get two PROVEN commodities, while essentially the Heat take on Conley who takes the ball out of Wade/LeBrons hands, and the Grizz get an unknown in Kyrie Irving. I mean its your association so do what you want, I'm not saying you're a terrible person for doing it, but in a RATE my trade thread I'd give it a 1/10 for realism, and a 10/10 for your coup de gras.

As far as Kevin Love/Darko goes, I normally try and trade for Bynum in LA, send Kevin back to LA, and get a nice C in return, then flip Enes down to a 4, and I like your frontcourt. Not sure if it will work in your Association though.

Looking for opinions on who would be the best player I could get on the Suns for a package of Jared Dudley, Aaron Brooks, Robin Lopez & 1st Round Pick (ex Markieff Morris)?

I rarely do an association with Nash even though he's my favorite player. If I do the Suns, I need a second option. The only guy I want to keep is Gortat so that package is the best I can offer.

If I can't put together a decent team, I'll probably go with Dallas and re-unite Dirk & Nash.

In association with the nuggets. My team needs rebounding and minnessota has publicly stated that they want to trade Love before he just leaves them so here.

                              Wolves receive:
                              Kenyon Martin 6'9 PF/C

                              Kevin Love 6'10 PF

I know its my game and i can do whatever I want but does this seem realistic in the slightest? In real life, with the draft that Minnesota just had, they probably will trade Kevin Love before he leaves in the off season.

BTW im also planning to avg about 34 mpg with him. Can anyone clue me in on whether he will be unhappy with that much? Cause the last thing I need is one more player complaining about lack of min even though they avg 30+.

Between those 4, I'd say you could get a mid-tier star, to put it in perspective, I don't know if the talent level is there of Felton/Gallinari/Chandler, but it's a more diverse package, so for a small market team with a big star where it would improve them in multiple areas, I can see it. Al Jefferson comes to mind, if only because of the no defense mantra I have stuck in my head for the Suns.

I tried doing the Nash to the Mavs thing(BTW has anyone seen the original picture of when the Mavs got Dirk and Nash with Don Nelson?) but it's hard for me to either tell Kidd to come off the bench or send Kidd to Phoenix and not give him his ring too

So breaking this down in two parts, the first three-team trade was a little hard for me to swallow, if only because I think the 76ers thing Speights has a good future and they have all that money tied up in Elton Brand, so getting Al Jefferson doesn't help them much PLUS giving up a first round pick(if you catch my drift) Otherwise it's not too terrible of a trade, I think the Jazz made out the best of course getting the best player(everyone likes trading for Gay lol) and giving up arguably the least valuable in Jefferson. It works but not sure on realism there.

The second trade isn't bad though, I don't think it would ever happen, but as far as value of player goes, I think it fits nicely. Jimmer and Burks are about equal, Harris and Thornton are kinda equal Millsap is better than Thompson, but throwing in Dalembert moderately negates that, and the 2nd round pick is likely to be someone who doesn't make the team anyway, so yeah.

Are we talking in real life trading him before he doesn't re-sign? Because they still have the QO year, and restricted free agency for him, I don't really see him leaving though I'm not sure. As far as the trade goes, It's not good value for Minnesota at all really. They don't need another wing in Forbes, and KMart has 0 value for them in reality. Throw some picks their way and I think you'd have a real life Kahn deal though lol.
