Question:

My dribble pull up is recently upgraded to good.

My "shoot of dribble" rating on my player card though is like 64.

What other attributes play into this rating?

MP is a great shooter, but the catch and shoot and the pull up are too slow for my liking. I'm guessing hands, off hand dribble, quickness.. but does anyone know beyond a guess?

The rating you see on your player card is your tendency not your rating the actual rating is hidden the 64% is more closely related to the amount of pull up Js you actually do compared to amount of shots.

Tendency is based on how much you do that certain skill, last time I checked. Like for example, my 3PT rating is 60. (Remember, I'm a 3pt specialist. I usually take it when open)

I think not, you can toggle from tendencies to ratings by hitting triangle, and all the straight forward ones are consistent with my attributes. Steal, quickness, ovr, 3pt, on ball d, etc... are all an exact reflection of my attribute ratings that I've put SP into. That's why the shoot off dribble one is a little befuddling. You'd think it would reflect the ability "dribble pull up" but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The 64 does seem accurate though, even with the upgrade MP is far from Ray Allen with the pull up J. But since most other ratings exactly reflect attributes, what does this rating reflect? A combination of attributes and abilities? If so, which?

And how can I improve this rating? Again, I'd guess hands, quickness and handle play into it but I want to know for sure because I want to rise up and snap the twine if the D so much as blinks. I thought with ability upgraded to good, and shot ratings in the high 80s, I'd fare better than a 64.

EDIT: crankycong in the screen I am refering to, my 3pt is 86, exactly the same as attribute. So it is not a tendancy I am talking about unless there is one tendancy- shoot off dribble- mixed in with a bunch of skill ratings. I doubt that is the case.

Funk when you get a chance can you post how many 3s your attempted compared to total FGs? and you could be right but I am just going by what the game says so I assume it to be tendency based.

That's weird... My tendency is 60 and my rating is 91.

I'm looking at it right now. Go to player card, R2 over to the 3rd page (3/10), hit triangle, and the column is clearly labeled "rating" not tendency. Again, these- ovr, shot inside, shot close, shot medium, shot 3pt, FT, Layup, dunk, pass, etc.. are all exactly the same as my attributes. There are just three others mixed in that are not tied to attributes: post drive, post spin, and shoot off dribble. All the other things are listed in my attributes, and are exact reflections. So these are ratings.

But just to be super thorough (!) I found my tendancy page on the player card (page 6/10) and my 3pt tendancy is 50 compared to pos. avg of 40.

Are we satisfied that what I am talking about is a rating not a tendancy, namely the shoot off dribble rating? If so, please refer to my og question and help me figure out how to improve this rating!

Vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Well this game started out ok except I was in foul trouble half way through the first and ended with iirc 7 pts 1 ast. The score was 34-34 going into the 2nd as my team kept us in the game.

The 2nd Quarter was still a battle, I was lucky that Derrick Favors was hot early on tonight as he grabbed a quick 14 Pts in 9 mins of play off of 5 assist by me and going 4-4 from the line early on. I was able to orchestrate a solid quarter and we went into half up 64-61. I believe I had 11 Pts 10-11 ast 2-3 boards 2 T.O. at this point.

The 3rd Quarter is what swung the game into our advantage as I was able to get rolling offensively as he scored 15 in the quarter alone and continue to get my bigs involved and we pulled away outscoring the 76ers 32-19 in the quarter.

The 4th started with Utah leading 96-80. This quarter was like most of the game and we Kept going back and forth at some point I hit the 20 ast mark and despite the efforts from Andre Iguodala who almost had a triple double 27 Pts 7 Reb 9 Ast they couldn't cut the lead by enough and Utah left Philly pretty happy with a 119-105 Win.

Notes:

I want to give a lot of credit to Andre Iguodala, Evan Turner, and Jrue Holiday as I couldn't guard them and they combined for 77 Pts 17 Reb 17 Ast and were just a deadly trio to deal with.

I was glad to see my teams "big 3" was on top of there game as Jefferson, Millsap, and me combined for 77 Pts 19 Reb 25 Ast.

Game Changer:
Derrick Favors: 13 Min 16 Pts 3 Reb 1 Ast 6-9 FG 4-5 FT

I really hope nothing happens to him and he stays with Utah I really love his play style.

My Player's Stat Line:

39 Min 38 Pts 6 Reb 22 Ast 5 Stl 5 T.O. 13-24 FG 12-13 FT

EDIT: I was notified after this I hit my 25th career double double.

I just got through playing the game and I see what your talking about when I was finishing the write up and I think Threio and someone else was talking about thinking it was a combination of abilities because atm my is at 60 and I have the dribble pull up to good.

daaaaamn!

just noticed my whole save is pretty much ruined.. started a new save yesterday as a defensive center. drafted by utah but traded to the heat.

then i went to the award races and all that and found out there was another player with the same name as me, leading the rookie of the year award race and the center spot for the allstar game.

saw a video a few days ago on youtube of how to play with a created player on create a legend mode. so i decided to test it, created a center with 99 overall on the knicks. wasnt fun though to start out that good, had nothing to play for. but now i noticed that player is in the My player mode too.. this sucks. i was over 40 games in to the season, cause i just played key games and since i was no starter there was a lot of time between each key game. had raised his overall from 62 to 67. now i have to start all over again. worst part of it is if i would continue with this save, not only will there be two players with the same name, looking pretty much the same but i would have to face a 99 overall center as my star matchup.. *** ****..

I had a 6'3 PG that got drafted by Indiana, Was about 40 games into the season and haven't seen the crazy trades everyone was talking about I guess that might have been fixed in the patches.

I kinda lost interest in that and started a Create-A-Legend with Hasheem Thabeet and was kicking *** with him, About 20 games in he had like a 92 vertical and it made it a little too unrealistic for me when he was jumping and his head was about a foot over the rim.

I started a 6'11 Athletic PF earlier, Had a decent game in the College All Star Game. 8 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, & A steal and a block. I am good in the post and was looking to get about 25 points like I usually do, But everytime I went in I was getting my shots blocked. Had a terrible shooting %, But still was projected to go about 12th to the Suns. Got interviewed by the Suns, Jazz, & Houston. Suns just sounds horrible, Rockets seemed a little played out considering my Thabeet CAL, So I will probably be in Utah. Had to turn it off before I actually got drafted though.

You should aim for PHX, less competition at your position on PHX. Plus, the pick n roll with Nash, and the shooters around you would be a big plus as well.

This game is just not fun.

Yet another game where the computer "decides" that my entire team can't hit a shot. After shooting 52% as a team and leading in the 1st - we score 8 points in the 2nd. 8 points. The other team scored 30.

They wen't 5/8 from 3 and shot 65%. My team? 0/5 from 3 and shot 4/21 overall.

It's not anything I'm doing. 80% mid range jumper, I've missed 5 consecutive "good shots" in this game. It's just no fun. Whether I win or lose seems completely up to the computer and what mood it is in.

What team in the NBA consistently shoots in the 30% range for a game? And that's with me hitting around 45% of mine. So my team is actually shooting in the 20% range. It's unrealistic and completely not fun.

I can score 35 points a game, but what's the point if you lose every one of them?
