Has officially dropped the Pistons from my memory. RH3 looks great in his Lakers Purple and Gold. Get to line up with Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Odom and Boykins. Hopefully management doesn't butcher the hell out of the team. The Heat wanted me but my choices were Hornets first, Lakers, than Heat. Time to start winning.

When you go to your purchases screen you can purchase something that changes an individual attributes CAP, can someone explain how this works (what does purchasing this actually do)?
Depending on the playstyle you choose are certain attributes literally capped after a certain rating?Comment

What settings are you guys playing on? I did the Showcase game on whatever the MyPlayer default settings were (Pro/Default, I believe) and wound up getting drafted by the Washington Wizards with the 18th pick (I had a horrible Showcase, scoring just 9 points and had 4 turnovers).
I really enjoyed the pre-draft interviews. It was fun telling Minnesota I had no interest playing for its team.Currently Playing:
MLB The Show 25 (PS5)Comment

for those who are farther along in their my players than I:
what attributes do you feel help the most? I am a 6'5" scoring pg btw, although I enjoy passing a lot. I've got my pass rating up to 70, does it seem to help much to go higher than that? what other ratings are important?Comment

For those who got the Dime cover, is the comment on the bottom "NO BULL, JUST BALL. WHO CAN STOP THIS MAN?"
Curious because my guy is Reggie Bullock and it's a play on his last name. I'm guessing it's a coincidence since the game doesn't even announce his name. And seriously, those nicknames blow. Why can't they just say Reggie?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
Hey guys, before I get into my question I'll start of with my player profile:
Name: Seymour Butts
Nickname: Bottoms
Position: SG
Height: 6' 9''
Weight: 350
Age: 21
Draft: 1st Round, 12th pick (Jazz)
Anyhow, I'm not having much trouble dropping down the points by averaging 45 pts/game.
However, does anyone else have this issue where you lose some points when you re-distribute points before a drill?
I'm doing the whole dribble drill trick where I can get the most expensive speed points. However, since I don't want to re-do it constantly in hopes of getting the "speed" bonus, I temporarily take my mid-range shoot of "90" and consistency of "83" and completely take it away to max out the other bonuses that the dribble drill will otherwise give me (e.g. off-hand dribble, stamina, durability, etc.)
However, once I get my speed bonus. I wanted to take my max of "off-hand dribble" and re-distribute the points back into my mid range shot. Only, it comes out way less! I can only get back "83" in my mid-range shot and have the bear minimum of "75" in my consistency. Of course I still have my crazy expensive "speed" bonuses, but my overall offense is affected due to the lost in points.
I somehow lost a little bit of points in this process. Any reason why? This only happens after a drill, and not before the pre-drill distribution.Comment

Idk the answer to your first question... haven't had the chance to purchase that yet...
However, it does seem some attributes could be capped.. I'm a 6'4'' scoring PG and could only up my steal to 95..Comment

So boost your awarenesses, midrange and consistency. That way you'd know that if you need two points its basically guaranteed from midrange.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread
As far as draft classes, in My Player the first draft class that you get drafted in doesn't show up in the game, but after that, the draft class is auto generated. In general, the draft class is where you can go and edit an entire year of draftees. You can make the next group of rookies if you want, or you can go and make your family and friends, or random people, or tv people or whoever and draft them into your Association.Comment
