Replace Clark Kellogg. I'd rather have Kenny Smith back instead, or, A big ask, bring in Marv Albert - would love to hear him calling classic Bulls games:

    "Here's Jordan.....YES! And it counts!"

That would be awesome. Is Marv in contract with any video game company right now?

        Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

Jump shots and dunks need to be revamped.

Players do unrealistic dunks at times because we have no control of what dunk they are doing like last year. Please go back to the 2K11 controls for layups and dunks, it was SO much easier and I actually felt in control.

There are also some dunks, especially the Jordan dunk package, that take far too long. You are going in for a dunk but it takes 3 seconds for him to ever leave the ground and if you are in traffic, it just looks ugly and forced. PS. Take out the free-throw line dunk, it looks AWFUL, it's like he hits hyper speed halfway through the jump.

Also, fix the jumpshots. If you try to create a jump shot for a right handed guy, almost all of the animations result in him shooting almost directly to the right, instead of in front of himself. Their feet should be squared to the basket, and then they shoot the way they are facing. They shouldn't be shooting at a 90 degree angle. Also for jump shots, most of them look like the player is releasing the ball on his way down as opposed to shooting at the top of his jump. Basketball 101...

Graphics need to be SERIOUSLY overhauled as well, give us the look to the game that the PC users get. They are able to edit the game and make it look SO much better. You guys should make it look as good for the console guys. Have the jerseys fit, get rid of the stiff hair for long haired guys (you did it in 2K7 so it shouldn't be a problem) give us the ability to make a white guy LOOK LIKE A WHITE GUY.

Get rid of all choppy, forced animations, psychic defense, and canned animations. Make our AI teammates have at least SOME intelligence. If I'm not following the play EXACTLY, they should realize I've broken away from it and I am isolating, don't come running up to me, clapping your hands...

Biggest Request, I've said it a million times and I'll say it a million more...
TEAMBUILDER. Let us create teams online, colors, mascot, jerseys, court, stadium, ALL customizeable. We can then elect to start it as a new team and have an expansion draft, or we can relocate a team and set that team as the current roster. I would LOVE to be able to move the Hornets to Seattle, change their names and colors to that of the SuperSonics and then start a NEW hornets expansion in Charlotte. This would truly be a dream come true...

I want 2K13 to give me the WOW factor again, I haven't had that since October, 2010...

        NBA
        Charlotte HORNETS

        NFL
        Carolina Panthers

        College
        Carolina Tar Heels

        Won't change until:
        1) Hornets win a playoff game
        2) Panthers win a Super Bowl
        3) Tar Heels win another championship (Completed: 4/3/2017)

          Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

-This has probably already been said, but there's FAR too much bumping on the perimeter by one-on-one defenders. I could go on for days about what needs to change, but I'll do my best to keep this succinct.

Blocking fouls should be called for bumping on the perimeter (with applicable sliders). I don't understand why the blocking foul can be called when a player is bumped near half-court, but not anywhere else on the floor. The foul call near the timeline was a great addition, but it's silly that it only applies on that area of the court.

For the most part, the offensive player should have the physical advantage when a bump occurs. It's basic physics. The ballhandler is moving forward while the defender is retreating. Thus, the advantage of momentum should be with the offensive player. If you don't believe me, watch this:

See how the ballhandler basically bullies the defender, even in the first instance of a small guard (Ellis) vs a hulking power forward (Griffin)? The bumping we see in 2K12 looks nothing like this.

We also need "Perimeter bumping" sliders.
It doesn't make sense for us to have to figure out that decreasing this slider and increasing these three sliders = less bumping. One slider for perimeter bumping means less confusion for us-- 0 = no bumping whatsoever, 100 = no one can even attempt to drive without there being perimeter contact.

-The camera shouldn't immediately cut to the player who commits a violation when play is stopped. Cameramen aren't psychics in real life, and they shouldn't be in a video game. The camera shouldn't cut to the player who committed the violation until it's been announced, and the players should also be slightly confused sometimes when play stops, instead of immediately dropping the ball and going the other way.

-Defenders should be able to interact with ballhandlers in the triple-threat. Meaning that if a player has the ball and hasn't used his dribble yet, the defender should be able to get in his jersey and close the air space, and cause the ballhandler to have to protect the ball. Obviously, this should be risk-reward, with the defender being easier to drive past if he chooses to trigger this animation (also, there should be corresponding tendencies for this). Also, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get rid of that god-forsaken "Push-off" animation when a ballhandler is dribbling and the defender gets close. That can RUIN a player's game plan for that possession because the game is forcing the user to do something he did not tell the game to do AT ALL.

-The CPU should not be afraid to take contested mid-range jump shots. If I had a dollar for every time I saw the CPU do a step-back or an escape dribble pull-up and then pump fake, I'd be typing this from my private beach house.

Many, many, MANY players in the NBA settle for heavily contested jumpers. The defenders are too good and the shot clock is only 24 seconds-- players in real life realize that sometimes a contested shot is the best you can do on a given possession. This goes back to my last post in this thread about how every player should have a "Shoot Contested" tendency for each location (Close/Mid/3PT).

-Perhaps some sort of "Create Own Shot" tendency for the CPU. This way, for big men who can't handle the ball on the perimeter, this tendency would be very low, which would tell them to give the ball up immediately if they're not in a position to score (i.e., in the low post or under the basket), which would ALSO eliminate the big men handling the ball late in the clock and chucking a jumper.

-I stumbled upon a 2K11 video yesterday, and I noticed that the players sweat a lot more noticeably in 2K11 than in 2K12. Not sure why this removed, but the sweat visuals from 2K11 would be a good addition.

-The controls for shooting hook shots in the post as opposed to jumpers or that god-awful contact layup in the post has to be improved. I remember in 2K7, it was pretty intuitive, and if you wanted a hook shot or a jumper, the controls were tuned perfectly so that you rarely did the opposite of what you wanted.

-The CPU should be able to utilize slip screens, along with a corresponding tendency to control it. Again, the goal here should be for the CPU to be able to do everything the user can, because it can already feel a bit unfair sometimes, since the CPU is tied down by the numerics of the tendencies/ratings/sliders, and the user is not.

-If a big, strong player is running the floor and doesn't get a lead pass to the basket, he should seal his defender down low near the restricted area if he has a physical advantage. LeBron James does this often, and Shaq used to make a living out of it.

-The "Throw ball in front of you when using turbo" animation is ridiculous and should be removed. There's no reason we should have to risk losing the ball off another player's foot because we want to sprint. Players in real life don't throw the ball in front of them when running full speed, and we shouldn't have to either.

What I hope 2k does for 2k13 is sim the complete 2012-2013 season with transactions and then get drafted with a quality fictional draft class in the 2013 draft so we would actually be able to be the first pick and we won't have two players who were selected at the same pick.
I 100% doubt 2k would do this but I think people would like this idea better.

                A game that isn't a simulation...
You know...AI that doesn't predict the outcome of the game
By making you miss every shot so the AI can make every shot!!

Or when you try to steal the ball or faul it really happens..
AI that doesn't out rebound you 3 to 1!!

Sliders that don't reset every time you try to fix the mess you "2k" created!!

And fix the stadiums and courts..It's sad that you need modders to do it!!
How about some HD shoes....it is 2012!!

                Thats a start!!

                  Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

3 on 1 fastbreaks shouldn't favor the one. The only player in the NBA I've seen come out of a 3 and 1 fast break with the ball is Chris Paul and I think he has some kind of telepathy. I mean, I pass, the CPU jumps in the way and steals it. I keep it, the CPU becomes an impenetrable wall and I throw up some brick. I throw an alley oop and the angle of the alley oop is so sharp, that friggin' Derek Fisher can jump up and swat the ball down. (WHAT?!?!) The only way is to go against what you'd do in real life and drive really close, then pass behind him.

There's such a disconnect between the speed of the players and those annoying contact animations. If those animations can't be done away with, having so many more contact animations where one player is going near full speed would be much better, because there's never, ever any conservation of momentum. It's why so many fast breaks end up with going into that same silly layup animations, even though IRL the player would've just blurred by and done a layup that the other player just couldn't block in time.

And it shouldn't just work in fast breaks. That's the kinda things Derrick Rose does all the time. He doesn't run into force fields and throw up junk. And if he does come into contact with someone, it's a foul moer often than not (or not if you listen to Rose himself).

And it's near impossible to not be a point guard and run plays in My Player because the CPU bumps me incessantly. I'm in the post as a big? I wanna move to the other side of the paint, follow the play diagram and set a pick? Can't do it. Because I'm bumped and bumped and bumped, and then the play breaks. At least it's not the sumo wrestling animation of 2K10 where you'd get held in place in the paint, drawing 3 in the key turnovers. But it's just as frustrating. I don't mind the contact being done, I just hate that I have zero ability to stop it once it starts. Like spinning around it or quickly getting out. I'm there for the duration of the animation. I have to deliberately run out of bounds if the play tells me to run from one corner of the court to the other just to avoid being bumped.

And forget the plays where you have to weave or circle through the middle of the lane. Like CHA Box Cutter? I L1 out of that play the moment it comes up. Cuz running it is a waste of the shot clock.

I also wish I could choose if I want to play secondary positions. Just because I made my point guard athletic doesn't mean he can play 2 guard cuz I don't always make him 6'5" or something. A 6'1" athletic PG should NEVER have to guard Kobe. I'd rather have reduced minutes than get backed down by him all game.

A lil' more personality from coaches would be sweet too. Like Greg Popavich will call a time out even in a blow out if the other team starts to make a run. Having some kind of attribute to coaches to bring that across doesn't even seem that difficult. Just governs when they call time out and how apt they are to sit a player if they're struggling or will they let them play through it.

I also wish My Player coaches strategy wouldn't be to run full court press the entire time they're down big. It never works. And the game is almost over, why do this constantly sitll?

Yes, and there's no rule in the game of basketball or the laws of physics that states that to run full sprint while dribbling a basketball, you have to throw it three feet in front of you.

When you're running as fast as you can on the break there's no way you can dribble the ball normally or you'll outrun it. I agree it's stupid that no matter what the case or where you are on the court the animation is triggered but it happens in real life too.

I spend most of my time playing association mode and I'm sure its brought up many of times but they really need to fix the rotations. All 12 guys shouldn't be playing. On many teams you might have someone who starts but hes not playing 30 minutes plus.

In 2k you have 5 playing 30, 1 playing in the 20s, 2 or 3 in the 10's and a bunch playing single digits. Then you look at most teams and its not like that

make it easier for you in myplayer to get drafted higher if you play the best, ect i scored 34, 5 assists , 12 rebounds and 3 blocks for a SF and i only got drafted i should have been drafted at 3

Also in my player you should be able to choose your jersey and other aswell

also no nicknames in my player

                          have less common less names

                          have game sliders

IF 2K COULD DO THIS THE GAME WOULD BE PERFECT

This is just something that I could request every year in a sports game. I'd love for them to give us the ability to start an Association or My Player before the Draft.

I didn't purchase 2K12 because of the bad things I've heard from friends so I can't go into any gameplay details from 2K12 to 2K13.

Allow us to change jerseys online. Allow us to make our own team up sessions with the ability to change jerseys. Fix/repair the net code currently, it has too many bugs. Shot feedback needs to come back for Online. OVERHAUL the whole NBA TODAY stuff, scrap that and begin with new menus, that is the reason that causes problems with our files/freezing.
