Sliders for My Player and Create A Legend.
Tone down the off-ball pushing/bumping the CPU does in My Player/CAL. It's almost impossible to set screens on the box or even run off of screens because the CPU is constantly sucking you into pushing animations. The funny thing is we can't do this to them though. Like we can bump them once or twice in a possession, but we can't totally impede their movement like they can do us. It's a shame that I have to run out of bounds to run across a baseline screen or set a cross screen for my teammate.
This relates to my previous suggestion in that there needs to be a wider variety of fouls called. No fouls are called away from the ball unless it's a random moving screen or that thing where they make one player push another. But as it relates to my previous paragraph, I know that IRL you can bump cutters/screeners, but when being overly aggressive with it, fouls are called. 2K should employ this so it penalizes overly aggressive/rough defense.
Get rid of the canned animations, specifically the ones that the CPU employs to gain an advantage over the player. I had a situation where Dwight Howard was going up for a shot at the basket, and I had inside position on Andray Blatche for the offensive rebound. Well, I'm boxing him out, and the game decides to make me move out of position to post Blatche up so I would be behind him so I couldn't get the rebound. Things like that are ridiculous. It's blatant cheating by the CPU to win.Comment

COMPLETELY revamped CAP mode.
Incorporate the Kinect, that's why we all bought them, right?
Let us get our faces into the game, and then make changes we want.
If you don't want to incorporate the Kinect for some reason, let us create-a-player online along with a create-a-team online. It would actually probably be simpler that way because we could just upload a picture to the website.
Give us a fully customizeable game, especially as far as aesthetics go.
I would bring up gameplay, but I'm pretty sure we've all covered that pretty thoroughly.Comment

The ability to customize ALL offensive and defensive game settings whilst at the loading screen before online matches.
I am sick to my back teeth of getting through the loading screen then watching someone PAUSE, and spend the next 40 seconds going through coach profiles and gameplay settings. If that is going to be the way things are from now on - then give the other user the chance to adjust at the same time, don't leave us sitting there idle.
Reward PROPER basketball. Stop favouring people who jack up contested 40 ft treys and give the payoff to those who play proper basketball. If I post up, then dream shake the crap out of Ewing and have an open basket, then I should sink the shot/layup. Stop scripting the ball to go in the hoop on bad plays like cheesers dunking over 4 players from just inside the FT line.
Lobbies. Ranked games without lobbies are just ridiculous. 90% of all people you play are complete cheesers. I want to know who i'm playing and what their play style is before commiting. Give us an option to see their win/loss record and their quits etc.-----------------------------------------

I seems to me that 2k made their own version of basketball and all they incorporated was shoot, pass, dribble. 2k needs to study:
-Floor spacing
- How players actually score
- Angles players take to the rim to score(No more jumpers in the paint)
- What a actual offensive possesion looks like( ball movement)
- How players move to get open, not just standing around
- Mismatches( Big Men should not be able to stay with guards)
I think its ridiculous in my player just because you dont pick the athletic play style that you cant dunk. If you are 6'3 and over you should be able to dunk.
Another thing in my player is that is realistic is how terrible your is at the beginning but Kyrie Iring, Brandon Knight, and Derrick Williams are not. Its unfair that those players come in the league with skill sets but we dont.
Just becuse your my player is athletic doesnt mean he cant. Just because he's not the athletic doesnt mean he cant dunk. Thats unreal
If you cant handle the ball when driving to the basket or being guarding closely. Cant shoot or get to the basket. 61 overall. You shouldnt be in the NBA. We should start at 70 overall
They need to give a you the feel of being in the NBA for my player. Off the court stuff. It would be cool if they could make the life of a nba player, but not everybodies life is the same. Give us full control!
Crew
First and foremost please bring crew mode back.
I feel like the crew mode should be like the High School AAU circuit, more like a high school/collage basketball type feel.
I think it would be cool if 2k got Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour to put there jersey design in the game or have them make jersey designs just for the game.
Have crews be able to choose which shoe company they want to be sponsored by.
No hackers!
Gear/Player models
Players bodys. Just because Im a certain weight doesnt mean I have to look like a football player or body builder. Kevin Durant is at least 230 lbs and he's skilly. Carmelo Anthony is 230lbs and he's not huge.
- Better tattos. Arm sleeve tattos. I think 2k should get a tattoo artist to design the new tattos
- Get rid of generic shoes
- Add Under Armour shoes
- Add more Adidas gear ( D Rose knee pads, ankle braces)

Things that need to be added/improved for 2k13:
Gameplay
- My Player Crew mode.
- Ability to play with the legend teams online with/against friends (co-op). Private team-up games would be one place where it would be great to be able to use these teams.
- More responsive & tighter player movement like 2k11. There is far too much sliding around on the court this year, feels like your on a hockey rink. Makes it hard to stay in front of another human opponent while playing on-ball defense. Also when trying to move in the opposite direction its very slow & delayed. Also many times players just slide out of bounds.
- Trying to contest a Shot/Block the ball, jumping is very delayed and sluggish. Last year when you went for a block or wanted to get a hand up in someones face as they were shooting the ball you would actually jump towards the guy who was shooting. This year you just slowly float in the air.
- Playing on-ball defense and you're holding LT (intensive D) and the person shoots the ball, your player should put a hand up like in 2k11.
- On-ball defense there should be a little more contact. This year offensive players are able to slide right by your defense a little bit too easily.
- Improve passes into the paint. Many times when you pass to someone who is wide open in the paint or is cutting to the paint they bobble the ball, fall out of bounds, or the computer tips/steals the ball.
- Blocks need to be improved. Many of the blocks this year look so dumb and are so weak. You can be going up for a layup or shot and before the ball even leaves your hands it gets blocked.
- Improve the Live Ball Physics. I'm so tired of balls constantly being knocked loose by going off another players foot, back, or being blocked by a players elbow, armpit, ect.
- Steals/Loose balls need to be toned down just a little bit. There are far too many on-ball steals (especially online) where someone just reaches in, around, or behind you and steals the ball or they're able to knock the ball loose from you.
- Players that progressively sweat like in 2k11. It makes the players look alot more realistic.
- Bring back signature shot releases like what were in 2k11. The shot releases in 2k12 have all been dumb downed. It used to be fun to have to learn and practice the various players releases. Now people don't even have to practice to be able to shoot good.
- Being able to dunk or put up a simple layup needs to be improved just a little bit when your standing right under the rim. Sometimes your guy will throw up some weird looking layup animation when you want him to dunk or simply layup the ball and so it ends up getting blocked or hits the bottom of the rim.
- Continuation Fouls the defense should not be frozen. The defense should be able to contest/block the continuation shot.
- Alley-oops need to be improved just a little bit. They were dumb downed from 2k11. I'm tired of seeing guys jump for an alley-oop and seeing an animation were he doesn't even jump up for it properly and the ball just sort of fumbles off his body.
- Improve Boxing Out/Rebounding. I'm tired of boxing out and at times my guy won't even turn and face the basket or boxing out and the computer still gets the rebound behind me or jumping for the rebound and it being tipped several times and not being able to grab the rebound. Also, I hate sometimes when you use turbo and try to get a rebound and you end up plowing over someones and getting the foul.
Online Team-up
- Inbounding the ball needs to be fixed. It is severly delayed this year or sometimes won't work at all if a defender(s) is considered to be too close to the player(s) your trying to pass it to, which leads to having to call multiple timeouts or many times leads to getting 5 sec calls and turning the ball over .
- In-game substitution method needs to be improved. This year the screen disappears too quickly at times, sometimes the little box won't go away at all, starter disappears from the list at times, sometimes it won't let you sub at all, scrolling only in one direction is a pain, and there needs to be a confirmation button.
- Friends invited to play together this year will sometimes end up on different teams. Friends in a lobby need to be grouped together like in 2k11.
- Ability to call Defensive plays with the PG needs to be added back.
- Shot timing feedback system like in 2k11 needs to get added back.
- Win/Loss record for team-up games needs to be added back.
- In the back court if your bringing the ball up court and it gets knocked loose by someone from the other team and you recover the ball the 8 second rule doesn't reset, so you get back court violations when you shouldn't.
- There should be lobbies based on players rankings & DNF %. Far too many people quit in team-up. If there were lobbies for players with say Superstar/HOF rankings and say a min of 75% that completed their games it would be so much more fun for those of us who love playing a full games of team-up with very few people actually leaving.
- Ability to play with the NBA Today team match-ups for that day would be awesome and would make team-up alot more fun, instead of having to play with the same team match-ups over & over again.
- Ability to see who is talking in the pre-game lobby and be able to mute annoying people should be added back in.
- Private team-up, we should be able to scroll through the players on the team in the pre-game lobby. In case we want another player to start or to see who else is available to play at that position.
- Ability to see how many timeouts are left would be a big help.

- Make it so good defense actually matters. I'm so tired of playing great defense only to have guys hitting shots right in my face or inside the paint players spinning or doing up 'n' unders that can't be stopped.

-Undo what they did to the draft in 2k12 Sterns speech is unskippable and the computer makes to many trades I have seen one pick traded 4 times in the draft
-Player roles and minutes fix them plz.... You get a few years in and 75% of the league is unhappy and over paid and noone has any cap. In my current game Jerryd Bayless is making 11 to 13 mil a yr and is a back up and 31....
- Speaking of the league being unhappy the game generated draft classes are horrible and part of the problem I would use only custom classes but there is a glitch that has been present since 2k11 where you can't import after 8 yrs of custom draft classes.
-Fix the wonky Team building AI in Association and give us more hypothetical commentary. Like if Kobe or any superstar gets randomly traded the announcers will talk about what a shock it was or something. Also if I drop 100 or break any record in a game the announcers should be creaming themselves and the crowd should be giving the player as standing ovation.
-Also update the Created Players they look cartoony and often look the same.
-My biggest want though is for them to make the Association a living breathing thing like last gen madden had the newspaper with national stories and local they should do something like that maybe a ingame wesbite. Maybe even incorporate some type of Realgm esq forum were you can have fictional fans questioning your team management and debating a players greatness and comparing players games to past greats.
Presentation
-Seems like they need more cuts and make the games feel more cinematic it never seems like the camera cuts to the bench or 2 players just talking or anything.
-I'd love a better half time show and maybe even a weekly one in association
-The crowds need some work to make them more reactive rather than just constant screaming.
-Would love for them to get everything in working order with custom arena music Created teams can't use em and there are other glitches with it.
-If not I would really prefer if 2k licensed some hype songs for the ingame/pregame that weren't played in the menus. Those pregame video packages were awesome but not only do they play too much but they use the same songs from the menu that you get sick of hearing.Comment

1. When making your crew you should get better team colors, more jersey and eblem templates, you should also get a arena to play in which will fit your custom colrs and eblems around the arena and the crowd, a coach, separate home and away uniforms that can be alternates, as well as playcall system for each player on the floor.
2. Having the public lobbies so you can choose what crews to face, and show their stats win/loss ratios and even rank may it be positive or negative so it can show if they cheat or play legit, also incorperate nba online league mode into it, where certain crew can make like a 20 game tournament to see who is the best out of them that week or just for bragging rights
3 We should have crew games available between people om your friendlists, like team up,where ppl can join thier GM in a game against another team by invitation. So that you can make certain rules to the game so it can be more legit. we could also change sliders for us and the cpu, difficulty & minutes.
4. How we could solve the hacking/glitching. If you play wit Your my player online and offline you can gain skill points, just like it was when you played online pick up games. All your my player data should be stored on the 2K servers for public record so that 2K could point out if you hacked your myplayer with skill points & height.
5. When making your my player you should have reasonable capped heights per position, for example Yao Ming is no longer in the NBA hence no more 7 foot 5 players.
6. The is no real way to fix the lagging, servers, and online stability. If a person doesn't have good internet the game will lag anyway, all we can do is if we choose to back out, there should be a reason due to internet and lagging issues so we won't get a phantom loss.
7. All the exploits in NBA 2K11 & NBA 2K12 should be taken care of such as pump fake glitches, corner fast break 3's, stealing inbound passes, reach in exploits in the back court, taking charges in the back court, up and unders for nba 2k12 and spin layups for NBA 2K12.http://www.youtube.com/IpodKingCarter/

I also have a suggestion for Turbo. If a player is slow, their speed burst should run out FAR quicker than for another player. It shouldn't be roughly the same timed duration but moving at a slower speed. I had a steal then fast break with an nearly 90 speed player nearly run down and blocked by Tim Duncan.

Obviously I said nearly as I was able to lay it up before he got too close, but he got close enough where if I had been 80 speed my shot would've been blocked. That's inexcusable. Imagine if in football Ray Rice has to run at full speed to outrun BJ Raji. Maybe during that first 10 yards Raji might have a shot. But the speed difference should be obvious beyond that.
My recommended solution would be to add an acceleration attribute instead of putting everything under agility. Some people are agile, but don't get up to their top speed very fast. Agility could cover things like lateral quickness and changing direction. But acceleration could focus only one how fast someone hits their top speed from a stand still. It would even tie into players with that explosive first step.
Some peeves of mine...
They nerfed the Euro step to the point where I don't even know an acceptable instance to use it aside from in the open court with no one around me. Because if I try to go around someone with the euro, I get locked into that irritating as hell contact layup that I never make. Except that ISN'T an acceptable moment to use it. Gotta split the difference. At least let me finish the animation with a brick instead of initiating a contact layup.
I also really wish that in My Player my teammates AI outside of set plays wouldn't constantly crowd the lane during pick and rolls. Often times I'll set it up perfectly, but for some reason my 3PT specialist teammate SF will suddenly run off the arc for no reason. All that does is bring his defender down with him and defends the pick and roll. If I call for iso, can't get anywhere, then call for a pick, that isn't licenses for my teammates to run to the paint like they're giving away candy.
Stay out on the perimeter so I can execute some actual drive and kick gameplay.
And people have been asking for it, but it needs repeating: Passing needs to be revamped. The ball doesn't move nearly as fast as it should. Especially from the elite players like Chris Paul or Rondo. They can zip the ball in before the defense could react.
Though they probably do this so that the defensive AI isn't even more obviously reacting the EXACT moment you press the pass button. Psychically knock down a pass that, in nearly all instances, they wouldn't even know where it's coming from. Much less have the exact hand eye coordination and reflexes needed to knock down a pass with one hand. Every player can do this. I get that they don't want to let it be easy, but it's just like nerfing the euro step to the point of uselessness.
A point guard has no reason going over his head to pass the rock. I mean, not THAT much. A few times, but not nearly all the time. That's something a big would do. Alley oops are thrown with no arc whatsoever. It's called a LOB, now a bullet. Only time I get those lobs is in transition. Try to hit someone in half court and it's thrown below the rim where anyone can jump and knock it down.
Edit: And an extra peeve, players under the rim seem to have no idea of using their bodies as shields or that other defenders are even near them. At first I thought it was just a problem with game design, but now I see that it's deliberately designed.
The animations are programmed to trigger so that you put the ball on a platter for players to block, no matter how asinine that animation would be. Jumping right into a defender to try and lay it up with their off hand. All the defender does is stick his hand straight up in the air, possessing the ability to nullify gravity as they seem to be jumping in slow motion, and my player does the rest of the work for him.

Ipodking i agree with everything except number 6.. I understand where u r comin from wit the terrible servers n lagging.. But fo quit n not have it count as a lost is weak.. Then when i play rank games if my opponent is losing they will jus quit n no lost will occurr?? Makes no sense..
Just fix ur servers 2k.. make online fun again with prizes tournies weekly for rank, teamup, crew.. Halloffame rank lobbies etc.. Spectator mode etc..
Save playbooks, coach sliders, camera angle, roster lineup..Save it online also bring back jumpshot feedback online..Comment

That'd be great since the ball is live now! I'd like to see them up the ante some more for 2k13. First and foremost, fix those friggin issues. I know the devs play the games just as much as us so they have had to run into similar issues unless they're playing some superb version that doesn't get released to the masses.Comment
