Also, I sometimes get boxed out from the blasted 3 point line of all places. I mean, really?

The only way I have found to effectively rebound offensively is to straight run out of bounds under the hoop when you know your team is about to shoot (so pretty much only when the shot clock is winding down).

But back to the boxing out from the 3 line/most likely half court if thats where your standing. You cant get off the guy till the ball is rebounded, or you try the 2 second spin animation which ive yet to find a good use for or get an offensive rebound from. And god forbid your holding the right trigger/r2 when your team shoots, because you will be throwing someone across the court.

1.put some good music to the 2k playlist songs we know!
2.rest for me is all my players
        A. Let us interact more with our team either after wins or like all star weekend
To build our team chemistry. Also with other all star players.
        B. come out with a arcade like you guys did with 2k combine that host a tournament like a NCAA or something to give commentator our my player background so they can talk about us.
        C. If we in the lakers give us option to talk to kobe to build chemistry. Also we can say bad things about Lebron who I don't like we can say you suck or something to start a rivalry, or if we get drafter there is a player who raped me in the showcase I can say he's trash and start a rivalry with him.
        D. I'm tire of passing the ball to a pg and he's open and he don't shoot!!
        E. if the team scout say hes teams is looking for a player to be there franchise then they should put us to be a starter.
        F. All star weekend events is a must!!
        G. I'm tire of commentator talking about top (ppg, apg, rpg) and I'm number 1 and they only talk about Kobe or Dwight when there 3, 4 on the list, they should talk about our players.
        H. My crew!!! Bring back or pick up games!! With our my players
        I. If anything introduce like a tournament where we can make a small team with our my players with friends to compete, that way you guys can verify our players if there legit or not hacked ones.
        J. Use kinect to your advantage most of us got, let it be used to scan our self and implement it to our my player like rainbow six did with there character customization with the live vision cam or something-- I know it's hard but atleast the face or something tire of these crappy looks that make us different from other players in the league.
        K. Finally add more interviews, accessories, and someone posted this already but add the coach personality to our myplayer bonus like if we get bull coach defense bonus on our skill point allocation.

Sorry if I used bad grammar just stating my opinions

Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread - My Player

In My Player mode, we should be able to sign for less money when negotiating our contract.

Also, let teams have better signing logic and role suggestions for our My Players. Every 2nd round rookie shouldn't make the team automatically. Training camp can be used to weed them out.

Another thing I'd like to see in My Player mode is the option to ask/tell our coach that we want to guard another position other than our own, because it would benefit the team.

Yes this is crazy. I had an instance (in My Player) where I was in front of my defender trying to get the offensive rebound, and the game made me post him up and get out of position so he could get the rebound. It's totally unfair how the CPU can initiate and break animations whenever they choose. They can even make you post up. I've never seen an offensive player be made to post up by the defender.

It's like 2K is inventing their own brand of basketball.

              Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

-We need some type of pass modifier that allows us to differentiate between a normal pass and a lob pass, and perhaps also a bounce pass and a bullet pass (the ball floats far too often for no reason, allowing the defense to steal it).

-The CPU should walk the ball up, and the walk-up animations that we saw in 2K7 and such would be a nice return.

-When defender has both hands up, player should automatically try to pass AROUND him, not over him. No NBA player is stupid enough to pass over a giant who has both hands raised above his head.

-If you feel so compelled to include the incessant bumping on the perimeter, then blocking fouls should be implemented for overly aggressive defenders, and bumping a ballhandler on the perimeter should put the defender at a disadvantage since the ballhandler can now spin or cross over to the opposite side since the defender has committed to one side with the bump.

-A stepback button as opposed to using the shot stick would be nice, or at least the option to make it a button. Also, the spin move should be designated to a button as well, or more intuitive on the stick. We can only do spin layups/dunks in 2K12 if you have a full head of steam, which is unrealistic.

-Accolades should be included when the commentators introduce starting lineups, for example: "The Heat will start Bosh and Haslem in the frontcourt, along with the three-time MVP and leading scorer in the NBA, LeBron James," etc. Obviously, this will change in Association as players achieve different accolades and such. Also, if possible, the commentators should tell us when there are situations like the end of the 2012 season, where Kobe needed 38 points to win the scoring title.

-Ability to customize the D-Pad on-the-fly coaching menu. We should be able to set left on the D-Pad to do subs or Heat Check or whatever we want, for example. Other options should include Playbook, Game Plan, Defensive Matchups, Coach Sliders, Camera Angle, etc.

-If a player hits a game-winner at the buzzer, there should be an actual CELEBRATION. That player's teammates should sprint from the bench and mob the shooter, Kevin Harlan should be exclaiming things such as "RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!", etc.

-Teams like the Lakers (when they had Fisher) shouldn't give it to their SG to bring the ball up consistently. Fisher might not have been a big part of the Lakers' offense, but no NBA team will put a PG on the floor who they don't trust to bring the ball up.

-For the most part, the play-by-play commentator (Kevin Harlan) should be the one mentioning how many points/assists/etc. a player has, not the color commentators. For example, when a player is at the free throw line.

-There needs to be some way to differentiate between a spin layup and a spin jumper. I've performed a spin jumper when I wanted to perform a spin layup (despite being almost completely
under the basket) far too often.

-We need some way to protect the ball from a trailing defender attempting to steal it from behind on the fast break. It's ridiculous that we have no way to counter it and are at Chris Paul/Rajon Rondo/Russell Westbrook's mercy in that situation

What i want but probably wont happen for a long time is to have like real coach huddles in my player. Like when there is a timeout and the defense has allowed 10 straight points than the coach would be yelling at us and tell us to slow the tempo or w/e down etc..... The voice could be the same for every team b/c it would probably be unrealistic to get every coach to record voices and other things.

Also maybe a chance to argue calls with your player and receive technicals if you push the ref to the limit. Like maybe there is this barometer and when you argue too much you get called for the tec. Also change where the interviews take place. Instead of always having it in the postgame conference room, you can have it in the locker room, on the court or in the hallway. Maybe even pregame interviews where they ask you about your opponent and what you say may affect the teams performance during the game

I've seen loses ball fouls happen to people who are standing still.
Home and away accessories in my player
Different shot blocking animations. Players don't even go towards the ball they just jump

                    Re: Official 2k13 Wishlist Thread

                    1. If a defender is standing still and does the "hands up" (right stick) stance, he should never be called for a foul on a contact layup. The "hands up" position is a neutral position and should always be a method for AVOIDING a foul, as long as the defender is not moving. Too often in 2k12, I'll do the "hands up" around the hoop and the offensive player leans into me and initiates a contact layup, yet I get called for a foul...even though my player wasn't moving (i didn't move the left stick) and the offensive player created the contact - HE leaned into ME - I was just standing in place, doing what a defender is supposed to do. If the user neturalizes the left stick and does "hands up", the defender should "win" this situation every time because the defender has cut off the shooter's path and he has taken a "neutral" stance. If the shooter chooses to force the ill-advised shot and lean into the defender, then the shooter should be punished with a missed contact layup. The shooter should not be bailed out by a foul. The "hands up" position should also double as a method for drawing a charge. If the offensive player has enough momentum, the defender should be able to be knocked over in the "hands up" position to draw a charge - again, physics should determine all (if the offensive player pushes forward into a defender who is standing still, physics would dictate that the defender would be knocked over...depending on the force of the offensive player's momentum).

                    2. Don't make my player automatically react to pump fakes. I notice that when I'm guarding the ball handler near the hoop and he does a pump fake, if I'm holding the "intense defense" trigger it causes my player to automatically put his hand up and "bite" on the pump fake...but the real problem is that the game also makes my player shuffle his feet and step to the side as part of the animation, which gives the ball handler a wide open driving lane. Programming the character to automatically move without the user's controller input should just not happen in any game - especially if it's done just to give the offensive player an scripted driving lane. It really removes the feeling of control...and of course is frustrating when the opposing player drives and scores because the game just took control of your player and made him step aside without you even moving the left stick. I call B.S. here.

                    3. Please make the dunk animations "contextually smarter" - meaning, dunk animations should be determined by where the defenders are - if defenders are on the left of the player, then he should dunk with his right hand to keep the ball away from the defenders. If there are defenders behind him or around him, he should keep the ball above his head to avoid getting it knocked away from behind or from the side. Players should not be doing windmills in traffic, or other "flashy" dunk animations which cause the player to bring the ball down low or behind his head, thus exposing the ball to getting blocked from behind or from below. It's really annoying when I just want to do a simple "straight up" dunk where my player keeps the ball up above his head, but instead he does some crazy windmill dunk...and because he brought the ball down below his waist in the windmill motion, a defender was able to knock it loose. Flashy dunks (like windmills and "behind-the-head" monster jams) should only happen on fast breaks when there are no defenders lurking around. In half-court situations, dunks should always be simpler dunk animations where the ball is kept up above the player's head (straight up one-handed jams, or straight up two-handed jams).

                    4. I think the hop-step button should be brought back. I suggest getting rid of either the shot button or getting rid of the fake pass button and using that for a hop-step button. The 2k12 scheme of doing hop-steps and spins with L2 combined with the right stick is just too cumbersome and produces inconsistent results, because you have to press the right stick perfectly in a direction or you will perform the wrong move. Too many times I will want to do a hop-step, but my right stick direction is slightly off, so I end up doing a floater or just pull up for a jumper. If there was a separate hopstep button (like in 2k11), you would always get the move you intended...and you be able to perform the moves more easily with one button, rather than a cumbersome combination of L2 and the right stick. I liked the way the hop-step button worked in 2k11 (hold left stick forward + hop-step button to do a spin...with forward momentum release left stick and press hop-step button to do a hop-step...and i also liked how you could use the hop-step button in 2k11 to perform step-backs and then blend them into step-back jumpers). I know it sounds crazy to get rid of the shot button, but it just seems so redundant to waste a whole button on shooting when you already have the shot stick. You could always offer an alternate control scheme with a shoot button for people who are really attached to the shot button (maybe in that alternate control scheme the fake pass button could be replaced with the shoot button). Or if getting rid of the shot button is too much of a leap, you could just get rid of the the fake pass button to make room for the hop step button...I don't think too many people are attached to the fake pass button.

                    5. Turn-around jumpers out of the post position are too successful. It seems contesting these turn-around animations does nothing. I can contest a turn-around very closely and have my hand almost block the shot, yet the game still grades the turn-around shot as an A- or B. The contest animations against turn-around fades are often ineffective...even if i move the left stick toward the shooter and try to close in on him, the game forces my player to jump STRAIGHT UP rather than doing a moving jump to move with the shooter's fading direction. A lot of times I'll try to do a "moving contest" to jump WITH the fading direction of the shooter (I will hold turbo and run toward the shooter as I press the block button) but instead of jumping toward the shooter, my player stops his momentum and does "straight up" block animation. Cheap.

                    6. Highlight "dunk on" animations happen too often and too easily in 2k12. I'm referring to "contact dunks" where the player will launch into a defender and dunk over him. I'm sure this was done to appeal to the casual gamer who just wants to watch crazy dunks all game long, but the game loses credibility when these cheesy, over-the-top dunks are so easy to pull off. These types of dunks should happen very rarely, and only players who are big and are elite dunkers should be able to pull off these dunks (guys like Lebron or Blake Griffin). Most players should simply be forced into a contact layup and should not be able to dunk over big men.

                    7. You should NOT have to hold "draw charge" button to draw a charge. Charges should be completely based on physics and player momentum...meaning if the defender is standing still and has no directional momentum, and the ball handler runs into him - that should be a charge. It shouldn't matter if the defender was in the official "draw charge pose." Physics should determine all - if a player with strong momentum runs into a player with no momentum, the player with no momentum should be knocked over - simple physics. I've been wanting this for a while now, and I hope 2k13 can finally make it happen.

                    8. When trying to do a step back into a jump shot, when the player starts the shot animation, he steps forward rather than continuing his motion backward as he shoots. This defeats the purpose of the step back and prevents you from getting the space that you intended to create with the step back. Overall on jump shots, I notice that the shot animation often causes the player to step forward too far, rather than smoothly rising up from where he is at the time...this results in your player moving forward and closer to the defender which allows the defender to contest you.

                    9. When controlling a defender and moving around the court, the "defensive swim-through" animations are WAY too long and canned. I'm referring to the animations that occur on defense when you come near a teammate and your player attempts to "side step" or move around the contact, your player will get stuck in this LONG quasi-contact side step animation that causes him to move extremely far in that direction, often sucking you very far away from the man you were trying to defend. These animations are way too long and unbreakable. Make them shorter and make them breakable by simply moving the left stick to stop the animation and regain control of your player. Overall, many of the animations in NBA 2k should be more breakable and have branch points to interrupt the animation and regain control.

                    10. Momentum jumpers (leaners, and drifting momentum jump shots) still don't feel quite right. A lot of times I'll be in a situation where I'll expect my player to quickly pull up with a drifting jump shot, but instead he slowly plants his feet and turns his body to the hoop - so instead of doing a quicker moving jumper, he slowed down and turned his body for a typical "set shot" - which was a slower animation, and was therefore not the animation I would want...because defenders can contest a slow, stopping set shot more easily than a fluid moving shot. Moving jumpers should occur much more often, because when a player still has some directional movement then he should smoothly blend into a moving jumper, rather than stopping to do a set shot. The only way you should do a typical set shot is when the player is already set and receives a pass, or if you release the left stick and wait for him to stop moving. Even if you release the left stick and then press the shot stick, the player should still have some slight directional momentum which should carry him into a moving shot rather than a stopping set shot.

                    11. On defense remove the automatic "stumble" or "broken ankles" animations that cause my man to fall over or trip just because the ball handler did a crossover. This is a pretty cheap way to create a scripted scoring opportunity for the offensive player. Again, programming the player to randomly stumble on his own may look realistic, but it doesn't make sense from a control standpoint. I'm fine with the player beating me off the dribble because I didn't stay in front of him, but don't make my player stumble around and trip. This type of "auto animation" that occurs outside of the user's controller input should not exist.

Not too big, but I'd like to see improvement in the crowd. If the game is close and I hit a go ahead basket with .3 left, the whole crowd should jump up all at the same time, like in real life.

yeah, but they shouldn't be called for a foul in this situation. It's a bad call. If a shooter leans into an immobile defender, that's the shooter's fault - it's not a foul on the defender. the benefit of a video game is that it can always make the right call. from a logic standpoint, trying to lean into standing defender who's right in front of you is bad shot selection, so you shouldn't be bailed out with a B.S. foul.

If a shooter leans into an immobile defender, that's his fault - it's not a foul on the defender. the benefit of a video game is that it can always make the right call. from a logic standpoint, trying to lean into standing defender who's right in front of you is bad shot selection, so you shouldn't be bailed out with a B.S. foul.
How would it be realistic for the referees to be perfect?

when it comes to foul calls, yes i want to the referees to make the right call in 2k. why would you want bad calls in the game? what if you lost a close game in the final seconds because the game called a B.S. foul on you that wasn't a foul? it's a video game, so the calls should be correct, and they should benefit the player who made the correct decision (in this case, standing still, putting hands up, and taking a neutral position). randomness is the enemy of a good video game. the outcomes of situations should be based on what the user does or doesn't do, and these outcomes should be repeatable by repeating those actions - it's about strategy and making good decisions...if a game isn't based on this, then it's not a game, but a bunch of random events strung together...and that's not something i'm interesting in playing.

That doesn't make sense and it's not realistic at all. Referees make mistakes in real life, and players don't sit there and wish they had magical flawless officials. They overcome the mistakes the referees make because in the end, they balance out.

And even if NOT, putting your hands straight up and not moving does NOT absolve you of being called for a foul as it stands by today's rules. You can still commit a foul-- the fact that YOU don't like the call doesn't make it wrong.
