Please stop telling people if they should buy the game or not. Like you say all the time it's their own choice. You really need to let people be. Jeez man your fake moderator wanna be attitude is getting really old. You need to ease off cowboy.
I hear you but some people are acting like 2K owes them something. They critizise and complain about not getting what they want, like children do.
Sure the whole 'don't have to buy it' talk might be a bit tough to hear but I still think it's a valid point.

We should always come with constructive criticism since we know 2k listens, but just complaining to be complaining and finding faults does not help anyone. There are places, in this case threads, and times were constructive criticism is called for but just complaining cause you don't get exactly what you want is over the line to me.

Ummm I'm confused with your short remarks. I don't advise people on their purchasing decision. I never told people not to buy the game. Am I missing something?

I have no problem with the preorder bonuses. Last three sentences are genius.
The company's financial board is one, for instance. They want to know what they've invested in and if they're marketing team has done its job so they can invest even more money to make a better product. No use in the marketing team marketing the product after release. That's why sales in the early stages of release are important.

If you didn't understand what I was babbling about earlier I simply tried to answer a question.

Right, it makes sense. Follow the money never fails, and paying full retail dollar is great for everyone involved.

Problem is you think you are the supreme judge of what constructive criticism and what is not. Your approach is too simple when you deem every criticism to be a negative one and just finish with "well don't buy the game then". You realize you've been actually turning what might be a constructive criticism to someone into a huge argument with your intervention? Do you think you are always the right in doing this? You ever think you apply poor judgements when you criticize other people's criticism? God just stop it.

Retailers. Preorders and early sales determine reorders.

There you go. He has as much right to speak as you do. Who are you to tell him to stop doing ANYTHING? The hypocrisy in this post is astounding.

Dude there is clearly a difference when you are asking someone to refrain from acting like a superior being and you are actually acting like one.

Of course when I ask him to stop, it has to be in the form of "telling". You have an issue because of that??? I don't think you understand the situation or meaning of hypocrisy. It doesn't apply here.

Hey you still haven't answered my original question. What is that about me being ironic from that earlier post? Don't just wait around listening to other conversation and just say what you wanted to say even though it wasn't the right timing. That's really dirty and low. You absolutely knew what is happening but just wanted to put words in my mouth. Ahhhhh I see what you did here.

Anyhow you were saying? Still waiting..
. Did I ever tell anyone to stop buying the game? What was my own advice again???

I have to be honest, I think that's way off the mark. I think one of the biggest issues here has been the non-disclosure of something we find to be likely but have not received any sort of confirmation on: would the All-Star content be offered as a payable download at some point for those who opted not to pre-order? It's obviously well within 2K's right to not answer that question, but by doing so, it has seemed to put many folks in an uncomfortable position: take a chance and risk you're going to love the game by pre-ordering to buy it on day one so we can receive the game's full content or, for the many reasons already mentioned in this thread, wait even just a few days to make a decision (or a holiday or special occasion) and miss out on content one may have greatly desired.

I personally don't really think it's too much to ask for folks to be able to buy the game in a manner other than pre-order and still receive full content. I suppose if it was just an exclusive MyPlayer outfit or something, it may not be as big of a deal, but it's an entire mode in this case, which seems to be a lot to restrict from gamers who opt not to purchase the game immediately. Offering it up for pay at a later date would seem to make more sense of their initial quote on the mode being something of a gift to long time fans of the series, since it'd sort of seem like an advantage to pre-ordering (thus receiving the mode for free instead of paying later) as opposed to what it truly felt like: an ultimatum.

                        From the Kotaku article:
So to answer everyone's question. You can wait until the all star game weekend. And you get the new venue. So you don't have to preorder to get the venue eventually.

2k is saying you only recieve it if you preorder but you telling people they will get it when allstar game happens? hmmmm do you have any proof?

Yes you get the new court but you don't get the dunk contest and 3 point contest.

So you're telling me something that is programmed into the game will be taken out of mine because I didn't preorder? That's a load of crap. The dunk contest and allstar game will be in the game. I'll just be doing it in Orlando until ASW comes around irl.
