I'm truly stumped why VC won't patch this issue, it would be so F*ucking easy for them to do, post in the OXM DVD, On Live etc.. for distrobution. Man this just goes to show how corporations are all about the greenbacks, that's the bottom line, they have sold the majority of what they are going to sell for the year of this game, MOST people who wanted the game has already spent their money. So there is no financial incentive for them to correct and release a patch from a cost perspective (even though it should be relatively cheap for them). A damn shame I would LOVE to play this game in franchise mode, but I don't because of this horrendous issue! I will never buy another sports game on opening day again, I will wait until I check these boards for these issues to be pointed out, not like money is growing on damn trees around here!

I feel the same way. I'm waiting atleast a month from release date on all sports games from now on.

Can ya'll post for me the glitches and bugs within their last few titles for the basketball? I really seen and heard but it never really got to me. I honestly probably don't know what they were and therefore didn't really view them as vital. Someone, anyone?!?

Do you REALLY want to know? It's probably better that you DON'T KNOW, as it only saps the enjoyment you have with the game....

No doubt, The timeout issue is a problem, and there is no excuse for it to get past QA. But I still don't find it a game killer. Certainly nothing I would Boycott the company over.

Perhaps it is because I grew up on Atari and Mattell hand held games where things were primative. Timeouts were unimaginable. But even modern games have plenty of dumb AI. Wasn't there a baseball game in the last year or two where the CPU would pull a starting pitcher in the 4th inning if he was rolling along? And I also recall some recent football games where at the end of the game, the CPU will throw a 3 yard pass to the tight end despite needing a lot of yards in a hurry.

This is a big glitch. But for some reason I don't find it as a game killer. When I go on a run, I'd like for the CPU to call a timeout. I wish that VC/Sega would have looked at this when they tested the game. Hopefully they fix it because it could make a difference in a close basketball game.
