Re: CPU Timeout problem, reason inside
Really? So we have to wait 5 years for a VC bball game next time around then? Because they've had a few bugs (some are bugs, some are bad gameplay implementations) there for 3 or 4 years and totally ignored them.Originally posted by koolbubbaice -

The games run on a schedule & the developers must improve the gameplay graphics, & add new modes & fluff every yr.. If VC put out 2k6 with better gameplay & no bugs, but no improvments, you would be complaining that its the same game as in 2k5.. VC is geared towards the casual consumer.. The market suggest that Fluff, graphics, & modes come before great gameplay & eliminating bugs.. Nothing will change this.. VC only has so much time to complete the game.. BUT having no TO's is inexcusable..Originally posted by Admiral50Really? So we have to wait 5 years for a VC bball game next time around then? I agree. The casual gamer isn't going to buy the game if they only fixed all the bugs from the previous game, updated the rosters and graphics.Originally posted by koolbubbaiceThe games run on a schedule & the developers must improve the gameplay graphics, & add new modes & fluff every yr.. Remember the majority of customers aren't the harcore games like us. The developers need to add new modes/gimmicks every year to satisfy the customers. I'm sure a new game mode takes precedent over getting a right amount of fouls in a game.Comment

Huh? This is the mentality that I despise. How is BETTER GAMEPLAY not an improvement??????? Sorry, but enhanced graphics and post-game interviews being added to an already buggy game that essentially STAYS buggy is NOT my idea of an improved game. And no I wouldn't be complaining if the game looked a lot like the previous year's as long as it played BETTER.Comment

So you'd buy 2k6 with everything 2k5 had minus the bugs & improved gameplay.. You would pay 50.00..Originally posted by neovsmatrixHuh? This is the mentality that I despise. Re: CPU Timeout problem, reason inside
some of you guys should become QA testers for them. then you wouldn't have nobody to blame but yourselves for a buggy product. the only downside will prob be by the time your done testing it. your prob not going enjoy playing the finished product due to the burn out.everybody wants to ruleComment

Yeah, I would. If the gameplay were genuinely improved, yeah, I definitely would.
Heck, I did it for Inside Drive 2004, from Inside Drive 2003. I didn't complain about the price, as I felt Inside Drive 2004 was a superior game and worth the money though not much had changed cosmetically.
It beats paying $50 for a game with still buggy gameplay that generally plays the same, but just happens to LOOK different from its previous version. I'd call THAT a ripoff.Last edited by neovsmatrix; 10-17-2004, 07:48 PM.Comment

If more gamers had your attitude then we would get bug free & better playing games.. But guys like you are in the minority.. All sports games are made for the casual sports fan.. Sad, but true.. Bottom line is money.. Look at ID04.. Great gameplay.. Hardcore BB fans loved it, but the majority hated it.. It didn't appeal to the typical gamer.. No fluff.. No jaw dropping graphics & presentation.. limited modes of play, etc..Originally posted by neovsmatrixYeah, I would. If the gameplay were genuinely improved, yeah, I definitely would.
