    Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders

Let me start off by saying these sliders are like that so far. I've played two games so far and see very realistic results. I'd just like to make a few tweaks.

When I get a player a clear path to the basket, I'd like to see him throw down a dunk sometimes, not a layup. What sliders should I change for that. Also, everytime I attempt a step back crossover, the ball handler loses the ball. For example, this happens with Francisco Garcia, who is definitely capable of a step back crossover.

I'm using Nogster's roster, not sure if that makes a difference.

Those who feel the game is too easy higher the computer's shooting sliders. Those who feel its too hard lower them. I dont know what else to say. If you have a good team dont expect a tough challenge all the time. THose like a team like the knicks (Their excellent jman) should expect a nice challenge every game. I think these sliders are really close to the actual nba experience.

      What do you guys think?

I want to add that I believe Nogster's latest roster has both player tendency edits AS WELL AS Coaching tendency edits along with individual attribute changes (for the 360)

For the PS3 owners Nodima has uploaded his coach and player tendencies which are awfully good, still waiting on a full roster upgrade though on the PS3 side.

Played another game today guys ..not that we need much more statistical proof but here goes...
          Nets(me) 92 vs Heat 91 I won by 1 point!!

Not going to type ever stat but I shot 47% while they shot 45%
Three point percentage was disgusting haha 23% to 19%
          Turn overs was 9 - 12
Last but not least PITP 46 to 51

                Future-

Hats, off man. You really nailed these sliders. I think the biggest thing that makes the game so enjoyable with these sliders is the fact there's so much variety to these games now. With slider sets, they kind of ususally force a game to play a certain way, but there's been so much variety. I've had games where I've been blown out and couldn't shoot a lick; and other games I was lights out, games where the cpu rarely went to the line, games where the cpu lived at the line, etc.

That's why I think people need to give these a whirl for a while. If you see something out of whack, it may be due to statistical variety. Play another game, and you might see the opposite happen!

                A few other random comments:

-Playing your sliders with nogster's rosters. Not sure what difference that makes, but it seems to be a good combo!

-This slider set has IMO, completely solved the laser passes inside along with the PitP problem. Miami had aroud 30% of their total points in the paint. Hadn't seen that kind of success before.

-You mentioned before that you're still tweaking rebounds, and I think that is an area that could use a little tweaking. Guys seem to stand around a little too much and not really attack the boards after a miss. Sometimes there is also a little tentative look to the CPU (Wade can have an open look and he'll stand around a bit before attacking). but nothing too major, and nothing that I would really look into, considering how well everything else is balanced.

                Again, good work!

Future any expectation when you will release your final set with tweaked rebounds? Really appreciated your work!

There is way too much steals IMO - my avg. after two games - almost 15.

the steal i have at 50, cuz 55 were to much easy steal the ball...
and this is what i use

close 36 (maybe another +1 more)
                          mid 46 ( " " " )
                          3pt 46 ( " " " )
                          layup 45

i put 1+ in every cuz i play a 10min quarter so i have less time to try shoots respect 12 min userplayer... so i though that the final score is balanced and nearly the same respect a 12min quarter..

I usually play as PG and i did not use a steal button. The CPU AI doing that There is so many intercepted passes.

Guess you got good AI:wink:. I average around 5-9 steals a game. That is on 10 min quarters though.

I guess you could lower the play passing lanes if you're seeing too many intercepts.

Do any of the sliders determine how often a player (cpu) will shoot when there is a defender right on him or a 'hand in his face', so to speak? Quite a few times I have seen the cpu shoot and sink in buckets whilst having a hand in his way or a close defender in the way.

                                Any opinions on this?
