Well, I started my association last night just picking the Heat with the_futures sliders, nogsters rosters, except I lowered the steals down 5 for each.

I basically sim the entire season up to the finals then play the NBA finals(not a lot of time on my hands) I just want to see how players progress and trades, etc.

NBA Finals: Toronto Raptors vs. Houston Rockets

I play as the home team in each game.....Houston is up 2-0, as T-Mac has been a beast averaging 27 ppg in the first two, things will change back in Toronto as I take control and will double the heck out of him

I don't know if its because Im playing the Raptors but they keep it close early on then I usually pull away late, if I dump it ito Yao or Scola then kick it out I have guys who can hit the three in Alston, McGrady, Battier, and Brent Barry.

Anyway I plan on making any adjustments as I go.

Just played the 1st quarter of Suns/Mavericks. Blew up shooting 15/22 (68%) (3/3 from deep), and lead 35-17 after 1 (on 9 min qtrs!!)

(Shot 0/11 with Miami, and 1/21 with Cleveland last night). When I play with the same team frequently (PHX), I am able to get my timing down and shoot a relatively consistent % from deep.

Not here, play Miami and still way to many threes missed. Im at a point where I dont even dare to shoot more than around 10 a game. Think thats the big problem with nogsters rosters, he reduced all guard shooting ratings, some by 10 points (i dont see that mich rducting with the fowards...). Banks and Quinn cant hit if their live would depent on it. I think we must get more threes to fall when they are open and at the same time make the cpu defend the shooters better to make the 3pt shooting realistic. I cant wait to see what future420 says after playing with nogsters roster. The threes are the most annoying thing right know for me, so many role player in the nba are what they are because of their 3pt shooting...and know with there shooting stats in 2k9 they become useless.

One big gameplay problem arouses to me after I discovered it for me: the Double team. Really much more important that in 2k8 and after i started using it, I started winning, even blowing out (play off ball D when the double team arrives and try to deflect passes with a good stealer). Ok, the problem is the AI here...he never double teams intelligent and not often enough. Even if I kill them with Wade, like 20pts in one qtr, they only double him in the post(!)...that could be the reason for the high fg% (a hot wade slashes like crazy, and1'a ect) and for the low 3pt% / attempts, because out of double teams arrise good looks form the 3 line.
So guys, any idea how we could bring the ai to using the double team way more often and intelligent?

I really liked your sliders future! I had alot of fun playing with your sliders. I found myself missing alot of jumpers from 20 ft. and under though. Not sure if its my timing of the jump shot that might be a little off so I had alot of PITP in the last game I played. Can't wait for your updated sliders !

So guys, any idea how we could bring the ai to using the double team way more often and intelligent?

Raise defensive awareness is the only thing that comes to mind...

at least for me there never be perfect sliders...
the wrench is in the allstar difficult...
many time the cpu if he has to score, the cpu scores...
you can play good defense but they score..
and this for me its frustrating..
its like madden, when the cpu have to score, they score with stupid and incredible cheat...
like here...
maybe the most could be try in pro difficult and adjust the slider, however if the cpu must score, it will cheating also in pro difficult mode.. but maybe will cheat less and game would be more realistic also in % shooting...


post ago i read about a person lose a game by 30 points vs a team with very poor overall respect the team of the user...
this is not realistic for me, cuz if he would try again three or more match for me the score would be nearly the same... its like if the celtic lose three match by 30 vs bucks in every match, its not realistic... im always in my ideas to put one point more for user...

i didnt try yet, but for me if we experiment to put all the cpu shot to 0, for me there will be nearly the same score like now...

ps keaton... are you playing with ps3????
im playing this slider with ps3 and you have the same issue to... maybe with ps3 the cpu cheat more than 360?!!...

for me only 6 points gap btw phoenix and mavericks are not enough,
try to play the same match with mavericks and look how it will finish...

What do you mean that's not enough gap??? It was a great game. I outscored them 35-17 in the first qtr and they came back to lead in the 4th at one point.

JMan, those are some good stats. Steals are a bit high, but like I've said before, thats one of those tradeoffs that we are just going to have. I didn't go in to work, so I'm still testing and tweaking. Seems I've gotten CPU points in the Paint to go down. Through my last 9 games, they are around 43%. Only problem is I can't get them fast break points. Really torn between CPU speed at 47 or 48. Update coming soon guys.

Mainly using the Suns bud, I also am quite fond of New Orleans. But I wanna get the best experience I can using the Suns, because that's who I will obviously be using in my assn.

I'm trying to play with others though (Miami, Cle)
