    Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders

Just had another game. Got smashed in the 3rd 40-21. Pretty much everyone was on fire and all the starters sat out the whole 4th quarter.

    Twolves 84(me) - Hawks 98(me)

    31/77 - FG - 38/75
    40% - FG% - 50%
    6/19 - 3pt - 6/15
    31% - 3pt% - 40%
    16/18 - FT - 16/21
    88% - FT% - 76%
    17 - AST - 24
    9 - TO - 6
    13 - TF - 11
    37 - TOTREB - 40
    10 - OFF - 9
    6 - STL - 7
    4 - BLK - 3
    36 - PIP - 46
    8 - Bench - 26
    12 - 2nd - 6
    6 - FB - 6

    Top 3

    Twolves

    A. Jefferson - 24 pts, 10/11 fg, 14 reb, 5 off, 2 blk
    K. Love - 16 pts, 7/16, 9 reb, 4 off
    R. Foye - 13 pts, 4/13 fg, 6 ast, 2 stl

    Hawks

    J. Johnson - 30 pts, 11/13 fg, 3/5 3pt, 5/6 ft, 3 reb, 7 ast
    M. Bibby - 21 pts, 8/11 fg, 2/4 3pt, 4/6 ft, 5 ast

      Re: the_future420's Simulation All-Star Sliders

Just played another game, this one was very frustrating for me. I wanted to see what it was like to play a good defensive team so I did Knicks/Sixers in honor of tonight's preseason game.

The final score was 122-80. I ended up shooting 32%, they shot 51%. There were 26 fouls against me, only 11 against them. I couldn't tell exactly from the shot chart, but I believe I shot 9/44 in the paint. You can tell when things are "sim" and when things are just going wrong - I had tons of shots in the paint go in and out. You can tell when you don't have the right angle or the CPU plays good D, it's usually a normal miss. I had way too many quality looks (in 2K's standards, and IRL) that went in-n-out.

It felt like pre-patch CH2K8, every time I'd get a lane to the hoop their defender would come in and mug but I never could draw a foul. They also had 12 blocked shots, it felt like was playing against three Hakeem Olajuwon's in there.

I'll replay that same game without touching the sliders, but I think I may bump up user close shot. I don't know if it was suppose to be an off game for me or what but it felt like one of those old scripted 2K games where you simply cannot make a shot all night no matter how good the look is. At the same time Sam Dalembert is driving baseline and doing crazy reverse layups on offense for the CPU. Hopefully Nogster's edits will correct that.

User shot should go up bc i played a friend and we missed way too many..well lets ask the expert..future what should we raise or lower to make close shots go in without getting out field goal percentage too high??

Shooting definitely needs to come up. I'm thinking layup succes to 45, and close range +1

That was the same in my Hawks game. Pachulia was shooting at will. Also some of the shooting off the dribble is a bit frustrating because most of the time they go in and they are usually from the 3pt line.

I don't think you should touch the sliders and have another game. I just had another and it was good. The CPU couldn't hit a thing and shot 32%.

I cant play the 4th quarter cuz this game cheats so much, so Ill post what I got so far.

              Sixers (Me) vs Warriors (CPU)
              4th quarter, 10:31 remaining
              34/79 FG 40/82
              43% FG% 48%
              3/20 3pt 1/17
              15% 3pt% 5%
3/7 FT 9/17 (real FT % is on)
              42% FT% 52%
              19 asst 28
              16 TO 10
              12 fouls 5

              3 O. rebs 7
              11 steals 12
              2 blocks 1
              40 PIP 66
              22 bench pts 8
              4 2nd ch. 4
              5 break 12

              Quarter by quarter:
              1 2 3 4
              76ers: 18 27 29 0
              Warriors: 28 24 32 6

              Individual Stats:
              76ers
              Thad Young- 20pts, 5 reb, 2 asst, 9/21 FG, 1/6 3pt
              Brand- 20 pts, 10 reb , 2 asst, 5 stl, 10/15 FG
              Williams- 13 pts, 3 reb, 1 asst, 1 stl, 6/13 FG, 1/6 3pt
              Iggy: 6 pts, 3 reb, 2/10 FG, 0/4 3pt

              Warriors
              Maggette- 22 pts, 7 reb, 3 asst, 2 stl, 9/13 FG, 0/4 3pt
              Biedrins- 21 pts, 12 reb, 10/17 FG
              Jackson- 17 pts, 8 reb, 8/24 FG, 1/11 3pt
              Watson- 16 pts, 7 reb, 18 asst, 6/13 FG

Overall, this game played great. Its just every time i got it close the game cheated again. On one fast break A. Miler missed a WIDE open lay up. I missed MANY wide open 3's, especially when the game was closer. I seemed to hit my 3s when I was down by 10+. Most of my open shots came courtesy of Brand, who let my shooters be completely uncontested and yet they always missed. I just couldnt take how everything played great then in a few minute chunks it severely cheats. This is not your fault tho. So as far as the sliders go, they are very good.

These are great. I've played 4 games with them and I just had my best game yet. Magic(me) 56 - Celtics 55. Howard blocked Rondo's 3 at the buzzer. The only reason I won was because the Celtics missed 7 free throws. I shot 41% and the Celtics shot 42%. Rebounds, steals, and blocks were all even. PITP were 28-26. Awesome job on these.

Your slider makes this game unplayable, the first 3 posessions the hawks give horford lead cuts and thats 6 points right there, i quit the game and delete your slider file, sorry!

I definitely suggest you give them more than 3 possessions to make a judgement, but I appreciate you trying them anyway.

Guys, I am going to put up V2.5 in a little bit, hopefully within the hour. I have bumped up user shooting a bit--close range and layup success +1. As well as a few other minor changes

Really, no need to make this post. If you don't like 'em, keep it to yourself. There are a lot of people that put in a lot of time to create the most realistic gameplay. And not everyone's sliders fit each user.

Where are your sliders for us to try...?

I've noticed this problem a bit as well. Seems like PF and C like to attack a lot. Maybe it could be something to do with nogster's tends.

Here's my 8 game averages, against the league average. Not every stat, because I'm lazy, lol. Of course, this doesn't reflect completely on the sliders; style of play is just as important, and I tend to play slow-tempo, half court ball. Anyway, here's some of the averages:

                                .............USER.....CPU.....LEAGUE

                                PPG........92.5......92.8.....99.9
                                RPG........36.5......40.5.....41.9
                                OREB.......5.3.......9.5...... 13.3

It's amazing the 3 pointers are so close, and the assists and turnovers (actually, the assists are a little high, but oh well). Glaring problems for my style of play are fouls and free throws, and rebounds. Also, the computer PIP is still high by about 10%--I don't know if everyone else is getting the same results on that.

I've seen a lot of box scores here with normal free throw attempts and I am really surprised. Anyone have any ideas why mine would be so low? I am gonna up the commit fouls and shooting fouls regardless, but I must be doing something wrong--lol. If I could get the free throws up, then that would put my ppg right at league average. PIP, though, still up there. Curious to know what everyone else's numbers are on that one.
