    Yup This is what im talking about. so in reality there is no way to play with cpu with their "real ratings". its altered in all diff. smh

      The reason I'm asking this is because I play on All-Star, but I have to decrease the defensive awareness of the CPU a little to have more balanced gameplay to my skills.

        Got some time last night to test some things, you guys are correct, don't know how I did not see it the first time.

        Pro = -2
        All Star = +5
        SS = +7
        HoF = +10

        So there are no default gamestyles (slider set) that are true to ratings. You either have to bump slightly up Pro or down with AS, SS and HoF.

          yep thats the way it is. so by now(or at least in the coming releases) iLL stick with allstar toned down their att. till its just +1 and SOT/SIT +5 only. i now definitely feel the difference playing against lakers vs playing against the bobcats.

            Really helpful information. This has made my Bobcats association a ton of fun!

              i really can't guess what 2k's logic here is - it's pretty damn stupid if you ask me. you always hear people ask for something between pro and allstar and we find out what we've been seeking is how the game should really play.

                Great read guys I've been going crazy trying to figure this out .... But unless I missed something...
                1.How do you negate the speed increase the CPU uses to cheat on fast breaks and half court settings ?..
                2.How do you negate the pass awareness cheat? Ex:have y'all notice when you draw the defense in an make a great pass to open shooter when the CPU knows its beat it will make you player(the receiver of the pass) fumble the ball thus giving the CPU time to recover...
                Also same thing happens when you run pick and roll and make the pass with your point guard to guy rolling to basket the CPU puts you in that funky animation were the receiver of the pass once again fumbles the ball thus resulting in a steal or CPU recover to stop the easy score...

                  1. Lower CPU speed slightly. TBH I haven't noticed this cheat by the CPU but will keep an eye out for it.
                  2. Raise HUM pass accuracy 2-3 points at most.

                    Thx for the quick response those changes should correct the issue .... Next time your on a fast break at the beginning when you make the initial pass to the guy pushing the ball up , watch replay and see how steps your player takes compared to the CPU an were he moves from one point to another.... You may notice the cup slows you down with a bs catch and turn animation or just in general

                      I think I know what you mean... Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm a brit with limited access to the real nba but I had cp3 on a fast break last night and I got caught... Now I'm pretty sure with his speed he would not get caught irl

                        Wow! This is some great stuff man! Thanks a lot! I have always been a fan of putting out sliders with only minimal adjustments and not hitting any extreme and very nice to see that this research by you back-ups my philosophy.
                        Will get back to work on my sliders this week and will take this into account when making adjustments.

                        Thanks again! Great work!!

                          So knowing this (huge breakthrough), what's a base slider set for Pro level that makes the game play to ratings?

                            You need to bump the CPU attributes up a click or two (51/52). There is a list of attributes that get altered w/ diff. level in the OP. Since Pro is -2 for the CPU, and each slider click is 1.5, your gonna have the CPU either by -.5 or +1 for their attributes.

                              Thanks White Chocolate! I can't believe the gameplay framework doesn't line up with the ratings. I wonder if they even KNOW this! lol

                                BTW, only bump these attributes that you identified, right?
