That's a good question... but there's a bunch of strange things you can ask?

Why do people try and talk them out of leaving?

Why are people saying don't base the game on the demo then mention try the 2k demo when it comes out?

Why ask why?

Why ask why?

Because that's what we do, our brain or shall I say, Gen Y'ers are to ask why, why, and yes you guessed it right, why? I guess fanboyism takes people by their feet too easily, they have to feel that 1 product is better than the other at all times or vice versa. Yet they still feel there is a loyalty factor they must abide by for a specific company as if they earn paychecks or stocks in those companies.

Who knows what the problem really is, but I'll tell ya this much, both game look soild this year.

Both games look good this year, why not have both, for the differences in gameplay and graphics and presentation.

No sense in choosing just 1, when both are good.

If live was trash like 07, then yes 2k would be the smart choice...

But this season we have 2 good basketball games. Why not just have both and enjoy the sport.

Isn't it easier to like one game over the other and be done with it. Why be open to the fact that we might get 2 solid games this year. It's always been a hard concept to grasp. Happens every year over here on these boards.

I've been coming to these boards for a good 3 or 4 years, and it's been the same sh!t-different toilet.

I can gurantee 2K and Live will have it's issues. It's up to you what issues you are passionate about and keep it moving.

I'll be geting Live for the PS3 and 2K8 for the 360. I'm a basketball fan and I love the game not the company.

co sign. it maybe cause some can't afford both and would rather put one down to justify the purchase of another...

You didn't understand what I meant. I meant that Live doesn't change from year to year so why on earth would people spend dozens of dollars again and again?!

Great post. I prefer years when both games are great so that I have a choice. This year it looks like we will have two great bball games.

Well, more like one great one, and one that is great when compared to last year (and not even comparing with 2K7).

Anyways, I'll try the demo another 20 times now, but I swear you can wigle the right stick to the paint EVERY freakin time, and the getting the D jumping with pump fakes are useless.... not to mention the clunky passing system. The graphics are awesome though (except for the ball physics).

That would be awesome if it happens... not only would we have two great games, but it'll drive both companies to strive to make better versions for the next year.

I've had no problem pump faking and then beating a defender when they are up in the air.

I think everyone here is a basketball fan. I think most 2k folks d'led the Live demo to check out, but a lot of Live people haven't even touched 2K in years if ever. A lot of them complain that 2K shouldn't use the buttons to do moves

Anyways, I'm renting Live for sure when it comes out and hoping that the demo is just that, and early demo, and that A LOT of issues are fixed.

Did you pre-queue your actions, or did you react to the defender actually jumping up? It works if I pre-queue the action, hoping that the defender jumps up. In any case, once the defender recovers quickly to cover me, all I have to do is right stick, right stick, dunk.

No clue if I'm pre-queuing it or not. Just pump fake, wait 'til the jump and drive in.... sometimes they recover, sometimes they can't.

The ball physics and the dunk physics are off. Presentation is great and the overall look of the game is good. Too bad Micheal Finley and LBJ aren't in the game...lol

That certainy doesn't look like them at all. Where's LBJ's sig jumpshot?
