Isn't it easier to like one game over the other and be done with it. Why be open to the fact that we might get 2 solid games this year. It's always been a hard concept to grasp. Happens every year over here on these boards.

I've been coming to these boards for a good 3 or 4 years, and it's been the same sh!t-different toilet.

I can gurantee 2K and Live will have it's issues. It's up to you what issues you are passionate about and keep it moving.

I'll be geting Live for the PS3 and 2K8 for the 360. I'm a basketball fan and I love the game not the company.

Yeah played the Live demo out of curiosity and I was surprised at how it played...Im not a big NBA fan so im on the fence whether or not I should get a NBA game in general..So far im liking Live but will give 2k a shot as well.

I'll be picking up both also but as cocobee said, it's because of the passion for Basketball.

I've been here for a long time (don't post a lot but been reading since 2002) and it's laughable at times watching guys rally for each game.

Im only gonna buy 2k, not because I hate EA or live but because I cant stand the Live demo...I can get to basket and dominate with Parker way to easy and the animations and the movements of the players are really bad...I'll spend that money and pick up another non basketball game..Something i normally wouldnt get like Skate(an EA product)..

the graphics in Live look insane! but i'm still stickin' with 2K8. the live demo's gameplay still isn't touching 2K7. 2K8 is gonna be a monster!

2K has become what every1 used to hate about Live: a dunkfest (2K7 was ridiculous- I could turn old *** Dale Davis into MJ in his prime)...

but Live 08 has made it harder to dunk/ whipe the ball around with no regard for it getting stolen...which I like, and could bring me to Live for the 08 season

(I will never buy both- that's just a waste of $$- I will always get the better one and just run it exclusively...and for the last half decade, I been with 2K)

I must say that NBA Live does interest me, but because I can only buy one I will go with the one with the good reputation. NBA 2k is still king unless the final version of live says otherwise. In which case I will buy NBA Live.

I messed around with the sliders yesterday and just a little tweaking with the game speed, and the post defense has even added more excitement for this game.

I encourage you guys to mess with the sliders a bit if you think one or two things are lacking because it has enhanced my experience.

Can't wait for this game. I'm now leaning towards the 360 version.

Hopefully 2K8 will release a demo so we can compre. But I already have a feeling what both games will do well and what they won't.

I'm actully excited about basketball gaming again.

I end up buying both games every season regardless. Hell, I even end up buying both college games also. What can I say...there's worse things to waste money on

Did you just slow the game down and increase the post defense?

I might mess around with them a little because I've been enjoying the demo and if this makes it better, then that can only be a good thing.

I was going to buy Live, until I played it. The graphics are nice, but the animations are horrible in most cases, especially the sig shots, most of them are terrible and not even close to their real life counterparts.
