I think EA Sports will release a solid NBA Live game with no gimmicks & continue to build on a solid foundation without changing direction and resetting.

      And you know this...how??
Seriously, I want Live to be good just as much as the next man, but nothing in the so-called 'pre-alpha' build warrants that. Nothing. I played a game of Live 10 yesterday and realized how decent this game is and what could have happened to this franchise if they built on it. Imagine all these years wasted that could have been used to work on THAT solid foundation. So much money, effort & vision flushed down the drain...

Re: Its time, no more hiding

In a previous @Da_Czar #SimNation radio show podcast when they announced Scott O Gallagher as the Gameplay designer for NBA Live 13 one of the devs mentioned that NBA Live 13 will have no gimmicks and that they're sticking to what's important. They also mentioned that they're hardcore gamers and want NBA Live to be great. Scott also said that the NBA Live franchise needs to stick to the mindset of simulation basketball and that the devs need to stick to a vision and follow it through. So I think the new NBA Live dev team will start to improve the NBA Live series without backpeddling.

I think EA is lining their pockets and these guys will say anything EA wants them to. That whole Live committee was a sham from the get go.I wouldn't trust a word out of there mouths.

First of all the "no gimmicks" stuff is just a shot at 2K.

Secondly..we can all want things. But having the ability to execute them is a totally different story.

People keep name dropping. Even dedicated a thread to someone. Where is he?

Let me guess..he's under an NDA, right? So NDAs don't even allow you to get on twitter and keep everybody abreast of what's going on I guess? NDAs prevent you from even releasing 1 more screenshot since E3, right?

You saw the "new" NBA Live. What were your thoughts on it since you provided the link?

And please..even if it was "pre-alpha"...did anything in the video represent simulation basketball to you?

I really would like to know.

You're so right. The only place information on the leak was right here at OS. I must be a fool to have no information about this!

I'm going to be so happy that you have kept EA's foot to the fire. They have been put on notice, and their future actions will be impacted greatly by your demand that they stop hiding.

If you don't want to see comments on posts that you make, you ought to consider sending them in a PM to the who you are responding to. I know the function of a public forum is hard to comprehend, but it is usually acceptabel to respond to comments, even if they are not directed to you.

But answer the question. What impact will the game being bad or failing to release have on you? And how does making a demand that a publisher stop hiding impact this?

I think discussions about the likelihood of these events interesting. I find proclamations and demands like you are posting to be some of the silliest things I see in gaming forums.

I think the game probably will be poor, and may very likely slip to next year or get canceled. I was just checking the forum to see if folks had info on the latest developments. What I found was a bunch of entitled gamers acting like babies.

It's astounding. You may as well have posted that you woud like the EA devs to avoid OS altogether. I'm not sure what other response by EA would make sense.

I dont understand this part of your post and the leak was posted at a couple of places.. I'll explain later because you sound a little double tongued

Don't know about now but I sure had a huge impact on the Elite side
Im sure you werent around here at that time either though

It is a public forum, and discussion is welcome. Im not one of the EA defenders in here saying stop talking about it. The way you responded didnt even flow with what the discussion was, and you came into the conversation missing a few facts... Its okay though, I forgive you:wink:

But answer the question. What impact will the game being bad or failing to release have on you? And how does making a demand that a publisher stop hiding impact this?

Same as it'll impact you... as a consumer you can do that if you will. If you dont like what you see you have the option to not buy. Exhibit A is NBA Elite... I'm a consumer, and I don't like sellers and merchants lying to me. If they didnt think it was important, they wouldnt have sent a rep on here immediately afterwards trying to instill some damage control on OS

Its silly yet you waste precious time with this long post?

                          a homerun this time.

Actually they've been tail tucking. What I find interesting is how you make a joke about OS being the only place for the leak video yet you come here for info... I imagine you missed all of the previous articles written since E3 as well...I sure wish you would make up your mind because you sound contradictory.

It's astounding. You may as well have posted that you woud like the EA devs to avoid OS altogether. I'm not sure what other response by EA would make sense.
You sound like one of the biggest drama queen in here. Everything is amazing and astounding yet you decide to put your screen name in the thread as if it has impacted anything as well. Back to the drawing board

And to the damage control point. Notice the damage control only popped up three days after the video leaked and most people around here quickly exposed the "Pre-Alpha" line to say guys are free to provide their feedback and hasn't been back since. That was last week Friday by the way.

As long as "themselves" doesn't mean "their profit" they may not care. This wouldn't be the first time they would lie about aspects of their product in order to broaden the appeal of it.
I just know they have the resources to do something cool with this game.
Oh yeah they have the resources. Their seeming lack of desire to provide a more quality product by using these resources is the problem.
