Operation Sports: Do teams have play sets automatically set to the teams?

NBA Live 2005 Team: Yes, for CPU-controlled teams..
At least it's halfway done, but why not User controlled teams too?

Now this is my question. Is this a joke? How many of you felt like you got raped many times in the game and got no foul call on blatant clear easy to see fouls?

Operation Sports: What have you done to eliminate the players being fouled and hacked on dunks and lay-ups that were followed by no whistle, but the same play the CPU got a foul call?

NBA Live 2005 Team: While this may be your perception of what is happening, in actuality there was simply a random chance that a foul would be called on a mid-air collision last year, and that chance was equally fair for both a User-controlled or CPU-controlled player. This year we have improved on that logic so that we have collisions of varying degrees (some are more straight-up incidental-type contact while others are more obvious ‘hacks’) and the foul frequency increases based on the severity of the collision. There are still no guarantees though, because just as in real life the referees are not perfect and almost every call (or non-call) is debatable. And again, there is no preference given to either a User or the CPU in all of these cases.

It seems like the teams aren't playing their specific plays in 2005, they just have a certain style on both offense and defense. We have to wait and see.

Reason for foot sliding??? What the @$!%!@! IMO, if they want to make a basketball simulation, they have to totally solve this problem. SEGA SPORTS Tennis 2K2 has got the best example of how a human should move in a sport video game. They can learn a lot of things from it.

They left the foot sliding in there and put it in there from the beginning on purpose. That's the case Maybe I don't want a certain amount of control. It may make the players feel much more loose, but I'd sacrifice some of the arm and leg wiggling to eliminate that.

I totally agree! They have to eliminate all foot sliding problems, that's why you can break someone's ankle.

Last year my players got raped 10,000 times in the mid-air with no fouls being called.
