I play 40 mins and i don't feel that in-game save is that important, in fact i think it will spoil the game experience.

However replay save is something really really really really important, especially when you just had an amazing shot and you want to share it with your friends.

Reason for foot sliding??? What the @$!%!@! IMO, if they want to make a basketball simulation, they have to totally solve this problem. SEGA SPORTS Tennis 2K2 has got the best example of how a human should move in a sport video game. They can learn a lot of things from it.
LOL Why Sega sports Tennis 2k2? What ever happened to games like ESPN NBA and all those other sports games...

Operation Sports: Will the arenas in the game be more realistic looking, with more detail then in last year’s game?

NBA Live 2005 Team: We added some new arenas that we did not previously have the rights to such as Indiana’s Conseco Fieldhouse and Houston’s Toyota Center. There are also some brand new stadiums such as Memphis’ FedEx Forum. In the Dunk Contest and 3 Point Shootout we’ve also added some nice touches such as camera flashes and the electronic LED arena signage.

Thats the right question but EA is just fixing OLD mistakes that should have been there to begin with 5 years ago, and plugging the new features.... Shame on you EA.. That wasn't even the true answer.. I guess they need help comprehending these questions better.

You will know when you play it. Just go out and grab one for your Dreamcast, PS2 or PC. In a tennis game, player movement is something extremely important, and SEGA did it beautifully. You can feel every step on the floor and every turn and run, it's so real.

Well, maybe i should say "in a sports simulation", because Tony Hawk doesn't need those kind of stuff.

yea a lil foot sliding is good as far as im concerned....because if u eliminate it completely u get a ne one one system in which you cant really "shake" off a computer defender without some pre-determined animation that FORCES the defender not to completely control his player...THIS is the reason why foot sliding is still there. Espn not having this type of footsliding is another reason why the one on one game on the perimeter SUCKS when playing against the computer....and its the reason why the moves in nfl 2k2 sucked because there was no delay and you could turn on a dime.

Lack of momentum is why it was hard to beat someone off the dribble in the 2k series. I guess Live's sliding represents momentum and I just don't like the way they present it. Being able to zig zag back and forth on offense was one of the main reasons for the unbalanced gameplay in 2k4. This has supposedly been addressed.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
