Well, maybe i should say "in a sports simulation", because Tony Hawk doesn't need those kind of stuff.

Big ups to you man for bringing up Sega Tennis. That has got to be one of the most polished and incredible sports games and seemingly also way under the radar for most people.

I loved that game. When I lived with seven people from abroad (all moving out of the hostel) that games was the true house uniter.

LOL I dont know if this has been brought up....

"Operation Sports: Is the constant ice hockey like sliding gone from the game play? NBA Live 2005 Team: We spent a great deal of time on this issue this year and for the most part it is now fixed. However, there are still instances where you will notice the player’s feet slide during replays. The reason we allow this to happen is simple – without allowing some sliding of the feet, the game would feel less responsive from a control point of view - It’s that simple! So, from a design perspective we feel that ultimate responsiveness is a fair trade off for occasional foot sliding. In real life if you are moving in one direction you cannot change that direction in an instant - it takes a moment to stop your momentum, plant your foot and push off in the new direction. If we were to animate everything this way it would look perfect and feel terrible – probably not the smartest choice. "

So they are saying that instead of putting in animations, they skip them altogether and allow people to slide. ahahaha thats such crap

          The dynasty will return

I gotta feeling this will be NBA Live 04 with minor graphic touch ups on the faces, fixed gameplay problems like the sliding and the fastbreak button, with an all star weekend. They said they spent most of there time on allstar weekend!! Thats not the most important thing, thats just the fluff, why dont they make the franchise more like madden, where u can move your team around and make custom jerseys!? All they added was yr round scouting and the pda thing or w/e it is. If they spent most of the time on ASW then it will show, and most people will be dissapointed. This game needed more than a few touch ups last year! Not saying it wasnt good but they need to spend more time with gameplay than they do with ASW. Im through now.

If you want to add a feature, you can't just add it in at the end, it all has to be written together. They can't just suddenly with one month left say we want to add in-game saves. The makes of Live and ESPN probably have a timeline or something and estimate how long it will take them to add these things, and if they see they cna't, then they don't.

If they were to jsut randomly add thing without coding it all together, then you'll be seeing mad bugs in the game.

Live is looking good this year, I have no problem with having 2 good basketball games, doesn't make me sad or anything...

"Operation Sports: Are there any fouls called on rebounds, loose ball fouls etc away from the player with the ball?
NBA Live 2005 Team: Very rarely. While we agree that this is definitely a part of NBA Basketball, we do not think it translates well into video game basketball. There are enough foul calls on steal, charge and block attempts to keep the end-of-game stats perfect for a simulation. "

OH COME THE HELL ON! Thats just lazy! charges helping the end of the game stats be realistic!!!?? Comeon now ea, how bout make it realistic so that charges are not called that often?

I just want to ask a question about the sliding -- when you guys are talking about sliding, are you talking about something that just happens occasionally as players move in all aspects of the game, or are you referring to when someone drives in for the jam or especially pro-hops and the defenders slide back with him?
