Now unless I'm horribly mistaken, FG measures a player's ability to shoot from midrange. Does anyone really think that Kobe is only marginally better at shooting midrange shots than Divac? Heck, Hamilton is only a 72.

They probably just looked at Kobe's FG%, figured "ok that's not that high" and kind of just ignored how many difficult shots Kobe takes. If the Lakers need a bucket while the opp's defense is tight, he can get a shot off and stands a pretty good chance to make it even with a defender's fingers in his eyes -- he'll shoot a lower % because of the difficulty of the shots he often takes, not his skill.

Anyone who has seen the guy at a shoot-around knows that he's not some middle of the road shooter.
If both Vlade and Kobe are wide open from mid range, Vlade may actually be a better shooter.

The problem is that certain players(the great ones, such as Kobe) are very good at hitting mid range shots with people closely guarding them, where as Vlade doesn't have that capability.

There needs to be a factor that addresses this.

That quote translates to "no real play sets"...but a bit different game pace + D.

Operation Sports: Will each team have its own individual style? NBA Live 2005 Team: Yes, to a certain degree. Some teams are more prone to running the break while others will slow down and set the offense up more often. On defense you will find some teams more physical than others. For example, against a team like Dallas you will find it easier to get off a clean dunk in traffic, while Detroit will contest everything and either block your dunks or send you to the line to earn your 2 points. A lot of the differentiation is dependent on personnel, so you will see this change as you progress through Dynasty Mode.

The words "to a certain degree" is a keyword, and I'd like to ask ... to what degree? There are no real team playsets, but they could have added that instead of the Rookie game

Operation Sports: Will you be using the 0-99 rating system or 50-99? NBA Live 2005 Team: 0-99. This gives us better player skill differentiation. Incidentally, we frequently read feedback regarding ratings that are off/wrong, but we base all of our numbers directly from the end-of-season NBA statistics. So, before complaining that Walter McCarthy’s 3 point rating is higher than Paul Pierce, check the stats. 

                          1. How the hell does not knowing 1 player in the NBA not make you a "fan"

                          2. His name is spelled incorrectly

Hey, some people know every single player, like me, I know every single roster, some names might skip my mind at times, but for the most part. Anyways, that doesn't make you not a fan, I mean he might only watch his team so how's he supposed to know other teams unimportant players.
