Yea it was out of control zig zagging, and that was the problem. It just made the animations look all sloppy. Hopefully it's toned down significantly, because the sliding issue has been a part of the Live series for years.Being able to zig zag back and forth on offense was one of the main reasons for the unbalanced gameplay in 2k4Comment

I reckon the worst example of sliding was on defense stepping in front of a player and putting your arms in the air (ie NOT pressing charge button) and when the offense did a layup/dunk your player will just slide back 4 or 5 feet and end up under the basket.
That and players getting "caught" on each other (seems to happen with Yao a lot in 2004).
I can handle the running "skating" if these other issues are fixed...
