I quite like the First Take segments in The One, however im wondering, what is the chance of the First Take Segments just being a Pre-NBA thing and they are not happening when you really get into The One? Would be quite irritating if its simple to hype the game up and not having it continue later into the mode, whats your thoughts?

Re: NBA Live 18 - Demo Impressions
No, it won't. According to what EA says, the game is only available at 39.99 at select retailers for preorder.

I can't justify $40 on this game because once I got out of The One mode, this game got REALLY boring fast because of the lackluster gameplay. But for under $20 i'd get it for The One mode.Comment

Maybe be left to work on "the one" mode which is fantastic. I think Dynasty may be untouched.
Edit. Just saw WTF's post. Great to hear. Blog coming soon about Dynasty.

Re: NBA Live 18 - Demo Impressions
It will be under $20 by Black Friday. That's why there's not much of a reason to purchase this game at release. The One stuff is fun so if that's what you're into then yes this game is for you. But the actual on court gameplay gets worse and worse the more you play and the flaws stick out. No roster editing and most likely a lackluster Franchise mode doesn't help. I don't quite understand releasing basketball games in September, especially so close after a Madden release but if I NEED to have a bball game in September, the one with the better gameplay, more depth, and complete control over a crazy in-depth Franchise mode makes it a no brainer.

Not sure. The price goes back to $59 on Saturday the 16th. Maybe $39 or $49 Black Friday.

Re: NBA Live 18 - Demo Impressions
While I love sports but I don't play a lot of sports video games any more as I have gotten into other video games more and with having less free time then I used to have I have a hard enough time playing and getting threw video games even with out playing sports games. I am a franchise mode guy and don't care about online playing like at all and I don't normally like to buy both live and NBA 2k or NHL and NHL 2k back when those were around as I think it is kind of silly to buy multiple sports games when they are the same type of sport and I don't know if I should get both this year or just 2k or just live or what. With live only being 40 and like 32 with BB gamers club I am wondering if I should take a chance. With it only being 32 and the fact you can always get money back by trading a game in it wouldn't cost that much but if franchise mode is not good then it is pointless for me.
Per WTF Franchise Blog is coming. They have worked on it.

Re: NBA Live 18 - Demo Impressions
I really see myself playing The One primarily with this game. It is potentially the best RPG My Player mode ever made if this demo is any indication of the presentation, decent teammate AI and upgrade system we are getting.
I think this is where the game is going to shine big time.
When I want true franchise authenticity and gorgeous game play I pop in 2K17 and have a blast with retro rosters and custom leagues.
But pick up and play this game is an excellent departure.

More impressions.....I wish that we didn't have to check the item out when opening a new crate. It's really annoying and cumbersome.
Plenty of canned animations around the rim. It's not that bad and it needs more variety if anything.

Really hoping matchmaking is better in full game. Consistently getting into games where there's only 2 guys. Have yet to play with more than 4.

If Battlefield 1 (3.1M units sold it's first week) and Titanfall 2 were both able to be sold for $30 or less on Black Friday. Then Live, which hasn't come even close to those numbers for 14, 15, & 16 combined, will definitely see that same type of pricing.

I think he's going off of the past two Live releases pricing. Which were less than $20 on Black Friday. I picked them both up for $32 total.

Re: NBA Live 18 - Demo Impressions
Same....i can see myself being immersed in this mode. I have been asking 2k for an option for no voice in mycareer mode as a voiced myplayer really detracts you from the game. Now I can imagine the one as some eastern European player trying to make it big.

Re: NBA Live 18 - Demo Impressions
Its interesting to watch the cpu vs cpu play each other. I left it on allstar. I felt bad for kevin love both durant and green combined for 9 steals from love. Its like they were sharks when love would try to dribble and just kept ripping the ball from him like he was a child.
There was a sequence before the half around 10 seconds to go. Durant just nonchalantly shoots a 3 a little bit past half court that goes in with 6 seconds left. On another possesion shortly after, curry throws up a prayer from the other side of the court for a buzzer beater.
Durant was player of the game he went off. Warriors won by double digits. Lebron was a non factor. The warriors ball movement made the cavs look silly.Comment

Re: NBA Live 18 - Demo Impressions
Curry really plays like Curry in this game. I'm getting slapped by 26 right now, and Curry has hit 4-5 "**** you" shots. No regard for defense. And he broke Kyrie's ankles, then pulled up from the logo.
Superstars play like it in this game, KD has been great too. Gonna try playing as GSW next and see what Bron and Kyrie do.
