Depends on the controller configuration but I think it's LB + B on 360.

There's a quick-launch set of plays that pops up a blue menu that gives you off-the-ball controls kinda. You can tell a guy to set a screen, come off a screen, cut and do one other thing IIRC.

I haven't played this game in 3 years. A lot of NBA 2K in that time. How do I call for a simple ball screen other than calling the Quick Pick play?

I am not sure if there is any other way. What I always did was keep Quick Isolation and Quick Pick and Roll as plays on my playcall menu (in addition to whatever plays are in my playbook) so that if the offense broke down late clock I would call an Iso to spread the floor and then call the quick pick and roll. I believe the big man (the 4 or 5) with the higher off awareness rating will be the on ball the screener in this instance.

I use config C. Left bumper and B button or circle (on ps3). This will make the selected player without the ball perform a screen in front of you. I use it all the time.

If a guy is out with an injury, is there anything I can do to get them tagged with something other than DNP-Coach's Decision? I've got a guy who has missed 5 games, and his confidence has bottomed out since he started missing games with an injury.

Confidence almost always bottoms out with injuries, as long as he gets pt when he's healthy he'll be fine.

In Legacy mode do you guys sim your games or do you play them? If you sim what do you do to prepare your team for certain games/what do you tend to do to make your team play to it's full potential?

Getting back into this. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread. As a casual basketball fan this game used to frustrate the hell out of me, especially the recruiting. I see it's a lot of little things I didn't pay attention to that make a huge difference in this game. Glad I never got rid of it.

It's been a couple of years since I've played CH2K8 and I'm having trouble remembering some of the nuances about it. I've remembered some (like I have to increase the shooting tendencies of stud CPU recruits so that they shoot the ball as FR) but I can't remember the transfer confidence threshold.

So, I remember that if a player's confidence level is less than X then he'll transfer away. What is the confidence limit that causes him to transfer?

Oh yeah. I also remember that my legacy always froze at a certain part of the season. I'm pretty sure that it was before the first game of the NCAA tournament and that I could get around the freeze by doing something like simming past the first game of the tourney or something like that. Or maybe I couldn't sim any of the tourney games from the calendar but instead I could only sim by using the tournament bracket.

Does any of that sound familiar to anyone else? If so, how do you keep it from freezing? I'm in the conference championship tourney of 2020 so I'm almost at the part where I know it always froze.

The lowest confidence before they leave is 35 I believe, if they get that low you get a message telling you to pep talk, if it drops below that they transfer.

Dumb question.... How do you change the camera view for this game? I have went under every section and I cannot find out on how to change the camera? Thanks

My games always tries to connect to 2k Games when it's first started. Is there some way to make it stop this? It tries to connect for about a minute, then gives up and goes on to the game. Those lost minutes are starting to add up.

Practice in Legacy mode: How do you guys handle it? I always just stick with balanced, but I feel like I might be missing out on some growth during the season.

I stick with balanced for most unless I feel a player has a glaring need that needs to be improved. In my recent dynasty I got my first power conference gig and was re-working the roster. The second best player was a soph SF who was undersized 6'4" 204lbs. I like height, so I decided to move him to the 2 spot. When you move forwards to guards I believe they take a speed/quickness hit (and the overall rating). He was great at all the other attributes I desire for the position. I made sure every practice he'd do the speed/quickness training and two of the offensive awareness training sessions. Slapped him with a redshirt, and the next year he left early once his speed and quickness improved.

I make sure some of my PG's do the passing and offensive awareness training if they are lacking in that area.

when you are posting up, how do you do the dream shake. i've seen the cpu do it numorous times along with other moves. when i got to tutorial, it doesn't show you how to do it. hopefully someone can answer
