    Re: Hex Editing Thread

    Is anybody still actively editing?

I’m looking to add a national championship to Loyola because they don’t have one for some reason and I think it could help their recruiting.

Another idea I had was to put the default rosters on some classic teams so I could use throwback uniforms in a legacy. This is possible without editing, but then you’re stuck with a logo with a year on it and no Final 4s, championships, and tourney appearances etc.

LOL except it's not upside down.......

I'll see if I can flip it later when I'm on my computer. I have some other info I want to post in this thread sometime if I get the hang of posting attachments.

For example, I figured we could just update the year of each team's most recent tournament appearance. But the game goes by, years since last appearance. I had the choice of setting all the recent appearances to 2007, or set it to 0 in which case it would just keep resetting to whatever year it was in your legacy. Which is strange since it uses birth year to determine coaches age. This also leads me to believe that you can't change the calendar year in legacy either, but not 100 % certain though.

I'm pretty positive it's not possible. I tried excessively to figure this out.

            Thanks for the info!

This means that I can change some classic teams’ info to mirror that of the 2007 team in the game. For instance, UNLV’s classic team has no appearances or titles. I can edit that info and then sub all of the ‘07 roster onto that classic team and use them in legacy. I basically want to use the standard team wearing throwback uniforms haha.

Can I swap Lon Kruger in as the coach? Also, can I substitute the standard logo in? This isn’t a huge deal because the court has the official logo.

If I were to make some 2020-2021 rosters, would you recommend I use those hex edited rosters as a start to maintain all of those updates!
Sorry for missing this, but I think Phill updated the coaches and conference edits, you you can use his.

Has anybody found arenas in the editor? I’m wondering if the arena can be changed without changing the floor, similar to NCAA Football. 2k apparently never got around to updating Creighton’s arena when they changed its name and capacity. They kept the old smaller one in (seats 9k) instead of the current large arena (seats 18k).

I recently noticed George Mason is missing their Final Four. This sucks because I’m sure it would help their recruiting by having that included.

All the more reason for me to finally figure out the editor with this game.

                    Re: Hex Editing Thread

Does anyone know if it's possible to edit a career/legacy coach's attributes? Or even just the points available for a coach at the end of the season? I've tried to follow the info earlier in the thread and just keep hitting a wall. Any advice on if a player-created coach is editable or what I should be looking for in a save file?

I'm using RPCS3 to play and edit files (well, attempting to edit files) if it makes any difference. My save folder has a "param.SFO file" and a "userdata" file with no file extension.

                    Thanks in advance!

I figured this out. Long-story short: Don't try to find a coach without a win/loss record. Once you get halfway through your first season, you should be able to find your record easily enough and from there you can find your attributes as Brock describes.

I'm on an actual Playstation 3. I plan on finally trying this out tonight so it looks like I'll need some sort of Hex editor and also my Legacy save file?

I really just want to add Loyola's national title and George Mason's Final 4. Maybe once I get the hang of it I can mess around with arenas to give Creighton a larger building because they never updated it.

I don't think you can edit the starting attributes nor how many are given at the end of the year.

Try asking Phil Spiderman, he apparently fixed teams championships and tourney appearances. I never got around to figuring out how to do that, just coaches.

Thanks. Billy Donovan is missing a title, I know that.

Hey, this is kinda a dart throw, but do you know if you can extract rosters from a legacy, so you can start a new legacy with the older rosters?

Shoot, I'd pay someone like $40 if they'd do it. The only issue is that I'm using 2k7 on ps3 instead of 2k8

Hmm I’m not sure about that. I really need to try the editor but I keep playing my legacy because it’s so engrossing and fun. I forgot how awesome this game is.
