I'm thinking about posting an update 15-16 roster that had players declaring early as seniors and some teams '16 recruits created as redshirts.

Re: Hex Editing Thread
I just contacted Javo, and it seems like the editor isn't going to happen anytime soon... Unfortunately.
But for the most part, the main things like changing conferences and coaching attributes and and records can be done manually.Last edited by Brock; 06-09-2016, 08:10 PM.Comment

Re: Hex Editing Thread
Ok, so I was messing around with this earlier trying to figure out how to do conference realignments in an already started legacy. Inspired by minouri's ability to do it in an older NCAA football game on the ps2, I decided to look deeper... I finally figured it out!
I'll try to post a guide to how to do it if you guys want me to, but it'll take a lot of work and you'll need to understand how to use the hex editor.Comment

Re: Hex Editing Thread
When you first start the legacy there's an option for custom conferences, its right when you start the legacy and its at the bottom.Comment

Re: Hex Editing Thread
yeah, I know about that. I was more thinking about starting the legacy. Get to the beginning of the ABL. Then open the file in a hexeditor and see if you could make conference changes so we could have perfect conferences instead of almost perfect conferences.NCAAF: Notre Dame

Re: Hex Editing Thread
Edit: I think I understand what you're saying now, but it still wouldn't be possible. You still have to use the realignment at the beginning of the season. I can't just add teams to conference, I still have to the the preseason realignment just alter some things in my running legacy.
Actually now that I think about it, there's quite a few things that need to be done if you guys were interested in doing this. I only did it with 2 teams in a dummy legacy, now trying to do it with 6 teams in my actual legacy and its taking quite a bit of work.
The Method:
1. Start a new legacy with custom conferences on, do your realignment and start the season, now save it and possibly give is a distint name like LegacyRealignment or something. Now start another legacy keep the conferences exactly the same. Start the season and save it as well.
2. Put those two saves along with your actual legacy on a usb.
3. On your computer take all three saves, it's best to make backups (I usually put my saves in a folder called ps3 backups), then copy them anywhere preferably your desktop.
4. Decrypt them with Bruteforce (If you're on ps3) and I think horizon if you're on the xbox.
5. I use HexWorkshop but I think other hex editors have the ability to use compare files tool. Do that for the two legacies you just started. Then open up the legacy you're actually playing with. Then if you know what parts need to be edited (Actually I need to put pics up for this, because I never went over the team section in the legacy file) just flip between the legacy file with the realignment and your actual legacy file and just copy and paste the highlighted changes. That the point of using the other legacy file and doing the comparison tool, to highlight the changes.
After you do that all of the teams you wanted to switch over will be perfectly realigned and playing in their correct conference schedules. The only "issue" if you want to call it that is they keep the teams they replaced out-of-conference schedule, and the players stats from previous season will be messed up.Last edited by Brock; 11-05-2016, 06:26 PM.Comment

Re: Hex Editing Thread
I would guess the scheduling would adjust after the first year through.Comment

Re: Hex Editing Thread
i'm in the second year of my legacy using hex edited conference, and sadly the scheduling remains a bit messed up.
conferences from the west that are placed in an eastern conference will have scheduled games from that region and vice versa (example idaho state plays against most team from the east coast), and also major team have very weak non-conference schedules with 1-2 big games at maxComment

Re: Hex Editing Thread
Idk how much life this thread has anymore but I've been lurking the last couple weeks trying to pick up any info.. rebought the game in all the march madness hype and dusted off the old 360! Forgot how awesome this game was holy smokes... anyway I've been messing around trying to swap my created team with one of the available selections of bad teams for the closed legacy... keeping the bad teams roster so my created team is level playing field starting off bad just like everyone else but changing team name/jerseys/stadium etc to my created joint...
I dinked and dunked for awhile and didn't get too far so I started swapping out larger chunks of data and ended up completely porting my created team (The Bermuda Triangles) for the Maine Black Bears into a closed legacy file but I wasn't meticulous enough with what I swapped which left me with something it seems like this thread might be interested in..
When my created team swapped I must have also deleted the conference affiliation data with all the moving and shaking (Maine playing in the American East) so the game ended up creating a brand new conference for me and my legacy. "Created Team Conference" with 1 member, The Bermuda Triangles (lol), so I managed to get a team you can't normally choose into the closed legacy but I have zero games on my schedule, I can play midnight madness and recruit and that's it.. but the fact that the game is capable of creating a brand new conference out of thin air makes me think we could edit (or delete and totally recreate) all the conferences including member size.
I'd consider myself mediocre at hex editing and that's on a good day but I'll throw up my saves if any of you a little more code savvy then me can pull something useful out of it cus I’m pretty much wandering around in the dark at this point and I would absolutely love realistic conferences like all of you!
Separate deal but I also managed to write my completely customized logo in 64 bit onto a roster file that I can physically see my logo (not the code the actual picture) on the file on my 360. Long story short, not so long ago in the always missed college days where free time was plentiful me and a handful of buddies were all about ncaa 14 football online dynasty where we all created our own teams and made them dog crap out of the gate, league rule you had to photoshop your own logos, the whole 9 yards.. so me and the ol Bermuda Tri have been around for a bit and I’m kinda stuck on the idea of doing that with college hoops… I think all I need to figure out is how to point the game to the image in the right place cus it’s definitely there, it’s just floating in a random spot.
BLAH. Alright sorry for the chapter book first post but if any of you were interested enough to make it thru all of that I’ll throw pictures up in a sec and can dish out the files if anyone is interested. I could also very easily have rose colored glasses on and be banging my head against the wall with all this and none of it be possible at all but I thought it was interesting and didn’t see anything like it on here so I thought what the heck..
LONG LIVE COLLEGE HOOPS!!!!
