      Re: Hex Editing Thread

Brock, I have a quick question. How do you change the conference names on your PS3 saves? For the XBox all of the conferences are listed near the end of the save, but after I edited them it comes up as the original conference names that were there back in the 07-08 season when I load up the save.

        Have you made edits to those, because I'm sure they start at 00367B64. The A-Sun starts out as "0008 61BD 0008 61D3 0000 0000 0000 07BB 0000 0000 0001 0000 0000 0037 0009 0005 FFEF 334F"

Then after that, I believe the rest of the conferences at bundled/mixed up in that giant bunch of numbers and values. Then after you scroll down from that starts the teams from the Big East. Idk why the xbox file structure is so weird like that. Also, conference always stays the same it doesn't change from roster to roster, unless someone actually edits them.

BTW, could you check the xbox roster file I uploaded above, I that should change all of the major/power conference coaches records. The coaches are exactly the same structure as in the ps3.

I've been trying to edit recruits, and it's looking like you can't. I found a *5 recruit and tried to edit him and whatnot, and no changes occured. I also tried to edit a 4* recruits height, and it doesn't work. So it's looking like a no-go.

                1) Download entire "PS3" folder from Mediafire.
                2) Go to downloads folder, and right-click the folder and click "Extract to" or "7-Zip" or whatever button you use to extract folders and files. Download the program Winzip if you need to.
                3) Copy the entire "PS3" folder from your computer to your USB drive (which should be cleared beforehand).
                4) Plug in your USB into your PS3.
                5) Go to "Save Data Utility" which should be above the disc icon on your PS3.
                6) Click x, and then click x when your USB icon shows up.
                7) Click triangle and copy to your PS3.
Here you go. I reuploaded the files to include the PS3 and SAVEDATA folders, but if you already downloaded the other one just create those two. (Put the SAVEDATA folder inside of the PS3 folder, and place the rosters inside of the SAVEDATA folder.)

Shoot im just not getting it. After I "Extract to" it creates another folder. Am I supposed to do something to that folder? And what do u mean by copy entire ps3 folder from computer to usb? It shows up on my computer that the flashdrive contains both the folder and the Extract to folder as well but when I put it in ps3 it says there is no saved data

                    PS3 > SAVEDATA > BLUS30078-ROS-1-0119131D17

On your usb create a folder "PS3", inside that folder create another folder "SAVEDATA", place "BLUS30078-ROS-1-0119131D17" inside of the SAVEDATA folder.

PS3 and SAVEDATA folder's both have to be in caps.

I'm glad you caught that, I see what I did wrong. I'm going to fix the roster file. And yes, Big 12 was used for the PAC-12, and was renamed correctly.

Here's the fixed file with grieserulz14 re-named coaches. The problem was I didn't check the name bank and copied over the created teams, I believe that caused both crashes you had. Everything should work. Also could you check to see if you're court changes are still there. I was never sure after because around that time there seemed to be a mix up with rosters.

No, unfortunately I can't change the logos.

Yes most courts are there still! Also, and sorry to harp on this but did you switch Pac10 with colonial like tbe spreadsheet says or did you switch Pac10 with Big 12 and then edit names like the game shows? Sorry to be annoying about this but the Pac12 and Colonial are the only conferences that have a 18 game conference regular season. Or did you do it another way?

Also, are you allowed to change the location of conference tournaments or rename arenas. Stuff like that?

Brock, the rosters you posted worked fine. All of coaching records are updated.

So in one of my tests files I tried renaming conferences. I changed them all to my original updated conference alignment just to test it out. When I load the roster in game and try to choose quick game, legacy, edit rosters or any mode in the game my xbox will freeze. Do you know any idea why it is doing this?
