Forgot how awesome this game was holy smokes... anyway I've been messing around trying to swap my created team with one of the available selections of bad teams for the closed legacy... keeping the bad teams roster so my created team is level playing field starting off bad just like everyone else but changing team name/jerseys/stadium etc to my created joint...

I dinked and dunked for awhile and didn't get too far so I started swapping out larger chunks of data and ended up completely porting my created team (The Bermuda Triangles) for the Maine Black Bears into a closed legacy file but I wasn't meticulous enough with what I swapped which left me with something it seems like this thread might be interested in..

When my created team swapped I must have also deleted the conference affiliation data with all the moving and shaking (Maine playing in the American East) so the game ended up creating a brand new conference for me and my legacy. "Created Team Conference" with 1 member, The Bermuda Triangles (lol), so I managed to get a team you can't normally choose into the closed legacy but I have zero games on my schedule, I can play midnight madness and recruit and that's it.. but the fact that the game is capable of creating a brand new conference out of thin air makes me think we could edit (or delete and totally recreate) all the conferences including member size.

I'd consider myself mediocre at hex editing and that's on a good day but I'll throw up my saves if any of you a little more code savvy then me can pull something useful out of it cus I’m pretty much wandering around in the dark at this point and I would absolutely love realistic conferences like all of you!

Separate deal but I also managed to write my completely customized logo in 64 bit onto a roster file that I can physically see my logo (not the code the actual picture) on the file on my 360. Long story short, not so long ago in the always missed college days where free time was plentiful me and a handful of buddies were all about ncaa 14 football online dynasty where we all created our own teams and made them dog crap out of the gate, league rule you had to photoshop your own logos, the whole 9 yards.. so me and the ol Bermuda Tri have been around for a bit and I’m kinda stuck on the idea of doing that with college hoops… I think all I need to figure out is how to point the game to the image in the right place cus it’s definitely there, it’s just floating in a random spot.

BLAH. Alright sorry for the chapter book first post but if any of you were interested enough to make it thru all of that I’ll throw pictures up in a sec and can dish out the files if anyone is interested. I could also very easily have rose colored glasses on and be banging my head against the wall with all this and none of it be possible at all but I thought it was interesting and didn’t see anything like it on here so I thought what the heck..

    LONG LIVE COLLEGE HOOPS!!!!

    Cheers boys
Do you have any screenshots/pics? You can "delete" a team from a conference, but it's more of a glitch than anything.

the conference the game created and titled "created teams" conference standings

American East conference standings. I started as Maine it looks like they were added back in and not clean swapped with my created team

I replaced the CH 2K8 save pic with my team logo I'm attempting to use on this save file. I still don't know where I need to change the hex #'s but if the xbox can read it and 2K still loads the file fine which it does I feel like I might be able to finagle it if I can find the location that corresponds with logos and swap one to point towards my custom logo script.

Not sure if my pics were too big or what but if you open them in a new tab they should work. Let me know if you wanna see something else!

Once again no idea if any of this is actually useful but I thought it was interesting.

I'm looking into hex editing (watching countless youtube videos and looking at forums such as this), I've noticed that my hex files look nothing like any of the other videos or pics I've seen. Can someone point me in the right direction as to which software to use? Also, a few other things...
          1. I know a few guys that are code masters and I'm going to ask (beg) for their help creating an editing program. The only catch is that they all hate sports, except one but he only likes the steelers.
          2. Brock, I've seen posts of yours all over the place man haha it's actually nice watching your progression in hex editing, I hope to be as good as you with the rate you picked up on things!

I guess I should mention that I'm using XBox 360 files and HxD to hex edit haha

I use/used hex workshop. I figured out things just by literally just editing things one at a time, mainly attributes. Keeping the original save and making another one with the edits and comparing them in hex workshop.

Also, I tried contacting Javo (creator of an APF2K8 editor) and he was considering making an editor for college hoops, but that fell through.

How about Vlad? I thought about asking him how much he would charge to make one. I'm sure if the demand was known he would see he could make a few bucks off of us. Maybe start a gofundme account or something to collect the money needed to pay him. The guys I know don't really seem interested in it.

Also wondered if the file that Ruud2You used ran out of available space due to it being so heavily edited. I believe I read in one of his posts that he had up to six years of edits on his file. If that's the case wouldn't "starting from scratch" be able to leave enough space to fill all of the roster edits? Tedious and laborious I know but it's just a thought.

Brock can you point out the offset for the coaches for Xbox360? Trying to hexed for the 2017-18 roster.

Here are some locations of things, this was found using 16 bytes per row. Any other setting and the values will be different.

                        000341C0 - 000B6080 = Players?

                        - 003AFB40 = Names?

                        003B7F00 - ? = More Names

                        003C9260 - 003CD330 = Arenas

                        003CD340 - 003D5150 = Teams

                        003D60A0 - 003D8F90 = Cities/Countries

                        003D8FC0 - 003EFD20 = Name Bank?

                        003EFD30 - 003F00D0 = Conference Names/Abbreviations

I'm almost positive the first one is tied to the players. It follows a pretty identical theme, and there are easily over 1000 of them. This is from a roster file that was edited, so I'm not sure if it would be easier to find things with the default roster file.

I'd love some help with this from others, particularly those who have some experience with hex editing other games.

Since the Alaska Anchorage court is in the game, do you think you would be able to create them as an actual team in the game?

I wonder if there is a way to unlock Madison Square Garden as a selectable arena. I’d take the St. John’s job if I could do that.

You can do that in the game. When it show the screen of the two teams, press triangle, and it will pull up all of the arenas in the game and then you just scroll thru them until you find MSG

From what I remember, you can only select MSG (2k preseason tourney court) if you haven’t installed the patch. Otherwise, the NIT finals arena is selectable, but it’s the Carrier Dome.
