So in one of my tests files I tried renaming conferences. I changed them all to my original updated conference alignment just to test it out. When I load the roster in game and try to choose quick game, legacy, edit rosters or any mode in the game my xbox will freeze. Do you know any idea why it is doing this?
You edited the name bank? It shouldn't crash if you edit them. But you can't add more characters than allowed. I.e. If you're changing the Big Ten to the Big East, you have to name it BigEast.

If/once I can't figure out where all of the areas are at on the xbox, I can just port them over.

oh, I see. I had a feeling that could possibly be the issue, but I wanted to see what you thought based on your knowledge.

The name bank of all the conferences on the Xbox is almost at the bottom. it's like 003Dxxxx

Hey Brock. Is there anyway you can swap the name of the Ohio Valley with the name of the Pac12 and make Pac12 a power conf too obviously. Need the 18 game schedule in Pac12 but other than that everything looks perfect!

And yes I can edit courts now so I will be updating those along with the ones that we already updated.

The edits were based on therostermaker's realigment, I haven't changed them yet for the realigment that I did.

Oh ok. Well that is really the only edit I see. Since we are realigning the teams once we start the legacy this is the only thing that should be changed imho. Then I can come up with an updated formula on how to realign....So please give me an updated link just switching/editing Ohio Valley name with Pac12 name!

                Re: Hex Editing Thread

Hi guys, here's a new version of the rosters: i've update all the coaches (from all the conferences) with real names and real appearances (not just the race, most of them are as accurate as possible in terms of look).

Also, I've created Grand Canyon and South Dakota as custom schools, and ported the players to them; this way you have more accurate teams (without the winston salem and UL calcutta jersey's and courts).

NOTE: I couldn't edit the coaches for teams that have names longer than 16 digits. If you try to change the team name or the coach name for these teams, something gets messed up in the name bank and bugs will occur

Edit: I don't know if you guys have viewed or been following my realigment updates, (my link to my conference realignment in the realigment thread) I'm still correcting teams and whatnot. I can't eliminate a team from the WAC because the WAC actually uses all of their teams in the conference tournament. Which led me to a discovery; you can only properly remove teams from conferences that don't use a good portion of their teams, i.e. originally I had the American conference in the Big 12 slot, but they only have 11 teams, and the Big 12 uses all 12. So what I did was swapped them with Mid-Eastern, because they have 12 teams (fits in the big 12), but they only use 11 teams in the conference tournament (perfect for the american conference).

I've altered some schools here and there, I'm not sure if I have an opening for the WAC. So I may have to add a left over school to them.

Another edit: On second thought, I could just keep the American conference in the Big 12, and put George Mason in.

final edit: Here it is, I believe this is the most complete realignment available. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Most of the teams that were changed and need a member size change, we're changed because they had enough teams to fit the tournament, even though the member size was larger.
that's interesting! would you be able to port my coaches edits (names/appearances) to an eventual newer version of the rosters, so the work won't be lost?

edit: looking at your new alignment, I see the Ohio Valley conference is gone..of course if you remove the independents and make another conference as the American, 1 conference has to be left out..

Lol, I had a feeling I was missing a team by doing that. I'll have to figure something else out. I guess, I can try to give the Independents, Ivy League attributes.

Yes I think the best thing to do is to keep the independents as the WAC, considering that they are a conference that never gets more than 1 team in the tournament (they are one of the weakest conferences) . If there is a way to make it at least work as the Ivy, they could have the season winner in the tourney and a conference shedule...but I think it may be hardcoded.

In the conference area, the conferences are listed 0000 (1) to 001F (31) should be 32, but in college hoops uses 00 as 1 sometimes.

If you change the values, it will give said conference their name and logo. I tested it out a while back with Ind/WAC, and once the conference tournament started WAC logo was showing up even though they couldn't play tournaments. So I'm hoping by doing that it's going to mess up the name, but it could possibly give them a bid to the tournament.

I'm also going to test once again, if I can increase the team members, since I can delete them.

Sorta, I think I told you about this before, or maybe not. The issues are that it takes the conferences name as well as the logo, and when you go the conference menu it reverts you to the original conference.

Edit: Luckily for me, google docs saves multiple revisions, so I'll just use this realignment as base: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

If anything needs to be changed or added, let me know.

                                Re: Hex Editing Thread

I still trying to figure out transfers, but I've found out how to make any player declare for the draft (bypassing the 16 underclassmen li it and 65 players overall). I've been contemplating posting this for a while because I'm not sure how many of you would use this, seeing it involves hex editing.

But there's no way, at least right now, to figure specific player locations. So for the time being you'll have to make small edits. But anyway, what I would suggest is doing this probably a couple of weeks before the NCAA tournament starts (season practically over and player averages even out) choose the players you want to leave, that probably won't, make a simple edit like an inch up or down in height and save your legacy as a different save. (Probably be nice to turn off auto saving) put both saves on a usb, decrypt them with bruteforcer and in your hex editor (I use hex workshop) compare both of the userdatas (tools > compare (on hex workshop)) and you'll see the differences will be shown.

These should only be the players you edited. If you go a line up there will be a players number it will look something like "000E" (14) change the first two 00 to 20. It should now look like (200E). 20 is the code for the A players drafted. After that save and encrypt your save and load it back up, check the players you edited and their draft buzz will say Drafted. They will still be on your roster, but once you advance to next season they will be gone.

I'll post pics when I'm on my computer later.

Here's an example of what the players looks like in hex:

Blue is the names "002b 88a7" last, "002b a369" is the first name.If you want to be sure of the player you're about to edit highlight one of the names, copy and paste, and use the jump command (ctrl + g) it should jump to the name bank; press shift + f5 to return back.

Green is the player # , just remember it's two places after the name.

Red is the class. I included this, because some of you may be really in-depth with your legacies and if you do spensions, etc or even if your player gets injured later in the season and you can't give him a medical redshirt; you can give a player a medical red shirt by using his class (4=freshman, 5=sophmore, and so on.) and adding an "E".

Pink is the height and position, you don't need to do anything for this, this is just a reference of what will be highlighted as the changes. 4D is the height, and 01 is the position.

For example the player in the screenshot is Jamal Murray, he is a freshman (4200) you would change his class to 4E00 so he would be a freshman medical reshirt.

This is one of those miscellaneous things, I figured out while playing around with things.
