Re: LeBron... what's your take?
people compare Lebron to MJ because that is somewhat how he set himself up. Lebron went along with and perpetuated some of the "next MJ" stuff.
but he certainly did his Jordan impression tonight. Regardless of his missed shots at the very end, Lebron was the reason why Cleveland was close and had a chance to win the game at the end. If not for Lebron, the Cavs would have been blown out tonight imo.
Of course ZB, but you see..it's only an impression, because MJ would've made those free throws..that's what MJ would've doneNBAComment

Re: LeBron... what's your take?
Excellent you have com eup with two big shots in Jordans long career that he has passed up on. Good work. By the way did you know that the shot Paxson hit Jordan had every point in the fourth quarter of that game. Every point but 3. That means no one else scored. I figured I would make that very clear.
Drop the arrogance bro...
If you'd just slow down and read a bit...you might notice that I said "championship shots". Thus why those two shots were mentioned...
And yeah...Mike DID pass up a lot of other late game shots when he was doubled and trippled. Guess what? The game is called basketball and that's what you're meant to do, "find the open man". MJ did it a lot. Look at his assist numbers. That's praise BTW, not criticism.
If those open guys hit their shots...we'd be talking about the Cavs winning in Dallas last night. That they didn't is not LeBrons fault.Comment

Re: LeBron... what's your take?
Bron bron has below average lateral movement..."Tight" hips they say. He's never been a good on-ball defender, which I think is why he gambles so much to make up for it. Bron's future as a good defender is going to hinge on playing decent man D based on playing angles, and being a smart passing lane guy and help defender. He'll never be a standout defender, IMO."Maybe I can't win. But to beat me, he's going to have to kill me. And to kill me, he's gonna have to have the heart to stand in front of me. And to do that, he's got to be willing to die himself. I don't know if he's ready to do that."Comment

Re: LeBron... what's your take?
And CB4 hasnt even been there yet and thats not his fault. But 4 all the points he was making going 2 the playoffs mean everything so how does that make Chris better than Bron??? Sum of the things he said didnt make sense at all but what got me was when he said Josh Howard was better then LeBron thats when I lost all respect 4 him.Michael: Fredo, you're my older brother, and I love you. Re: LeBron... what's your take?
I am well aware of my avatar, but were I am from a Homer is someone who sticks his neck out for his home team. Example= If Ohio State played that school up north, up north and they called a charge on Oden, but it was clearly a block. That would be a Homer call. You are getting the call at home or making the call in favor of the home team.Michael: Fredo, you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

As far as the passing, the Cavs tried to install a new offensive sytem this year, but the guys are struggling with it (hence the grumbling about tempo). Last year their scheme was too predictable...Let Bron dribble around a screen or two and and set up at the top, trying to break down his man 1-on-1. Now, they try to let the PG's handle the ball primarily letting James post up and cut more often. He has fewer opportunities to stand there reading the doubles/triple teams now...which is how he was able to slice teams up with his passing. This also hurts Lebrons image because he has the ball in his hands less, and can now "disappear" for stretches. I don't think he coasts, the offense just doesn't go through him as much as it has in the past.
It also doesn't help that the league now knows James loves to skip passes across the court, and are scheming better for that. Teams know to watch the deep corners and the basket cutter when they shift to cover him. I've seen quite a few of his cross-court attempts get picked off this season. I wouldn't say he's regressed, but the league has gotten better at defending his "vision".
Overall, this has been a tougher season for Lebron. They can't sneak up on anyone anymore. They are now "a team to beat", and Mike brown has said that they just weren't ready for that. Yet, the Cavs are still in the thick of things, and will still be a top seed in the East. I still see the cavs with the #2 record in the Leastern, which is great considering how inconsistent these guys have looked...
imo, the main thing Cleveland needs to do is to get a backcourt. Gibson will be good off the bench as a pure shooter, but the Cavs shouldnt have to start him especially as a rook. Get Lebron a couple of good CONSISTENT guards and he'll dominate the league.Comment
