Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
Illgauskus needs to be kept as far away from the basketball court as possible. I've never understood how that guy has a job and I still don't now. He's slow, he can't shoot, he's the least athletic person on the court, he's the tallest person yet he gets outrebounded by everyone, and he's pretty much useless.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

It's a bad game, we had 2 of them in Detroit last year and rebounded with 3 straight. We lost both of the Detroit games this year and won 4 straight. Series isn't over. Although I'm waiting for Erod to post tomorrow how this is an embarrassment to the NBA or something along those lines.Comment

Yeah, this game is probably over, but if we come out and make a good 10 point run, it's back to being manageable. Will it happen, who knows, probably not, but I can sit here and hope it does.Comment

Sorry Cavs fans, but the Spurs aren't the Pistons. They have solidarity, hall of fame coaching, and two maybe three hall of famers. The Cavs are simply being out classed here. They'll be lucky to win two games in this series.Comment

The series isn't over, but this isn't Detroit, it's the Spurs. The coach is Greg Poppovich not Flip Saunders.
There is no switch you turn on against this team. You have to play well against them, and doing things like they are right now, not rebounding, allowing 2nd chance points, taking mostly jumpers, certain players disappearing totally.
You cannot win a series against a team like the Spurs making all of those kinds of mistakes because they make you pay for it.Comment

Agree... series isn't over by a LONG shot. This series has reminded me quite a bit of the Detroit series of last year. We'll rebound.
And jmood..Ilgauskas is slow and unathletic, but he is efficient most of the time, and can knock down the 15' jumper w/ some great consistency. He's just not had a good series so far. It'll all turn around soon enough.Twitter - WTF_OS

But this is what we've been saying all along...San Antonio is NOT Detroit.
You guys keep speaking about how well you've played Detroit the past two years...but Detroit would be a 7 seed out west.
The Spurs are SEVERAL classes above Detroit.
And it pains me to say it as I don't particularly like them...but it's reality. They are a long way above anyone out east.Comment
