Well obviously my post was a little sarcastic, no team would fire a coach in the middle of the NBA finals but Brown needs to get pulled aside and told what to do at this point since he obviously isnt getting it on his own.

Hughes is an excellent defender when he isnt injured and right now he is, and tonight the Spurs didnt have a problem scoring even with Hughes on the court so at that point he isnt giving you anything defensively and he never seems to provide much on the offensive end so why wouldnt you bring in Gibson and let Hughes ride the bench?

I know I'm not the only one who sees it..........Gibson.

I can't remember the last time I've seen a player so held back. If Gibson was a lottery pick, he'd be the starter and a go to guy on offense. That's the only explanation I can come up with. This "let Lebron do everything" scheme has got to end. Gibson should be the playmaker, Hughes/Pavlovic scorers, and James doing both and the rest.

But it starts with freeing Daniel Gibson.

From the little that I've seen Gibson, he seems like a scorer not a facilitator. Could be wrong though.

Larry hughes cant check parker...at all...hes injured...and its a foot injury @ tht...people dont realize yet...Gibson is a much better defender than Hughes...honestly his defense isnt that good to me...and he can defend Parker and Ginobli...but the Cavs defense cant get anyworse than it was the 1st 3 quarters of this game...trust...

I don't know, Gibson is playing more minutes tonight than Larry. Gibson was playing 31 minutes while Larry is only 20. Maybe Gibson is not exactly ready to play 40 minutes a night hence why Brown only allow him to play 31 minutes. Anything above 31 might exhaust Gibson does dropping production.

I don't think it's a matter of minutes rather than letting him have more responsibility in the game. I think he could put more pressure on the Spurs than anybody other than James.

Maybe but thats a horrible excuse for a guy who hasnt exactly logged a ton of minutes during the season either. The problem is, tonight is a perfect example, when you fall behind by so much in the beginning you end up spending a bunch of energy trying to get back into the game, they need that offensive production right from the start, not 8 minutes into the game, hence why they need to start Gibson instead of Hughes.

I doubt Gibson is going to matter whether or not he will start. SA has defended better players than him like Nash/ Marion tandem and Josh Howard/ Dirk tandem in the perimeter. Or better yet, the Shaq Kobe tandem. Not that I am pushing CLE away or anything, but I am just judging SA's advantage through thier experience.

Boobie had taken Snow's job and started for a couple weeks, but was hurt. Sasha stepped in to the starting 5 and played well enought to stay in once Gibson returned. After his playoffs, I'd be shocked if Gib wasn't penciled in as the starter for next season, making the battle for the 2 guard between Hughes and Pavlovic.

I pray that we can move Larry on the off-season...injuries aside, he just doesn't mesh with LeBron's game. AK-47 and Zach Randolph come to mind as big contracts their respective teams might want to offload.

Zach is reserve for either the fifth pick or Conley.

Your logic makes zero sence, did any of those teams have a player like Lebron that demands as much attention as he does and is a SF/SG? Nash sure, but he looks to pass first and doesnt have the strength to get into the teeth of the Spurs defense and finish, Marion was horrible in the playoffs and he hasnt exactly lit it up in the playoffs ever, you would have been better off saying Amare/Nash. San Antonio didnt even play Dallas this year in the playoffs and last year when they did Dallas won so that argument makes no sence either. Lastly, the Lakers and Spurs had some great series and I wouldnt say that the Spurs dominated them either, so its very believable that with Gibson starting and their offense having more of a punch from the start because of it that the Cavs could win this series. Does anyone have the stat for what the point difference is when Gibson is on the floor this series as opposed to Hughes?

You do not want Randolph, he is a black hole on offense, doesnt play a lick of defense and doesnt hustle at all. If AK-47 can recover more of his offensive game then he could be worth it otherwise he is a marginal improvement over Hughes.
