Im starting to think the same thing but anything can change once the series gets back to Cleveland. Bowen is all over Lebron and is getting constant help from other Spurs defenders, if Cleveland has any shot of winning this series they need their shooters to knock down shots like they did against Detroit last round. Didnt Gibson have 2 games of around 30 points in the series against Detroit? So far this series he hasnt gotten the same looks, Hughes is a huge waste of space on the court and if Brown had any intelligence at all he needs to stick Gibson in there and either slide Hughes to SG and have Sasha come off the bench or have Hughes come off the bench, he isnt getting anything done at all.

Not his fault they arent hitting anything, Lebron is only shooting 4-11 but the rest of the team is at 7-30. To put that in perspective, Parker has made as many field goals as the entire Cavs team minus Lebron, and thats pathetic.Comment

But this is what we've been saying all along...San Antonio is NOT Detroit.
You guys keep speaking about how well you've played Detroit the past two years...but Detroit would be a 7 seed out west.
The Spurs are SEVERAL classes above Detroit.
And it pains me to say it as I don't particularly like them...but it's reality. They are a long way above anyone out east.
That makes the West good? The 2 top seeds vanish playoff time?
Yeah, the Spurs are great, I'm not debating that, never did. They have the talent, experience, and leadership to beat anyone. We've never been here, not even close in team history.
All I can say, it's not over.Comment

he needs to make his teamates better.... make better shot selections and pass the ball to the open man....Comment

LeBron can't win, you guys complain that he has too many assists if his points are down, and now he has no assists so he's a ball hog. Hilarious.Comment

I'm so sick of hearing how great the West is. Detroit would be a 7 seed, or Cleveland would be an 8 seed. All I saw out of the west were 2 teams that steam rolled through the year, in Phoenix and Dallas, that both did nothing come playoff time.

Nothing else he can do, Lebron can pass them the ball, and he has, but if they miss the shot what else can he do? If it isnt Donyell missing a shot from the corner on a pass from Lebron or a wide open shot from Z after a pass from Lebron, I dont see how he can do anything any differently in regards to getting his team mates involved.Comment

Re: ***Official 2007 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread***
True but you could also look at it as the West is so talented from top to bottom that there is a higher chance for upsets and the East isnt like that, besides Cleveland, Detroit and Chicago I cant think of a team that had any shot against the West, maybe the Nets if they had been healthy all year and Nenad was still playing but thats pretty much it.Comment

He knows where all of our seams are defensively, and knows where our kickout lanes are offensively. He's allowing the Cavs nothing but the perimeter, and we haven't dissapointed with attrocious shooting...again. 26 point half against the Pistons...25 point half against the Spurs.
We really need to completely re-tool the offense, and get someone in here who can facilitate for LeBron...
Unless we get some very dramatic home cookin' in CLE, we're done.Last edited by HMcCoy; 06-10-2007, 09:32 PM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

I'm not going to deny that the West is obviously the better conference. But most in here treat the East like it's a 3rd world country. Detroit has been solid for years and never got an ounce of respect it feels like. Miami won it all last year, and there were a million excuses why the West didn't win it. Just gets tiresome.Comment

LOL cmon Ex, nobody made excuses for the Mavs except Mavs fans and they had ONE excuse... the refs.
People, I included gave DET plenty of props for their run in 04, and you have to admit most of the east was horrid this year, especially down the stretch.
The West is tough conference, that's just the reality.Comment

Problem...Pop evidently knows our offense and defense inside out, and has been able to attack it with ease. It's not even close.

If nothing else, I'd rather be blown out than lose on a buzzer beater. So if we are down 2-0 going to Cleveland, that's fine. I'm not giving up. I've seen it too many times that a team blows out another team, then the next night they come out flat and the other team takes over. Seen it in baseball, basketball, etc.Comment
