I don't know. SA never bore me, not even for a sec. But then again, I favor fundamental than flash. I am an old school NBA fan.

I said earlier that ratings would suffer if it was SA/CLE instead of a SA/DET rematch. I think I was right. James only brings a ferver within the basketball watching world. MJ brought it from most anybody.

Same feeling I get here. I can see the Cavs jagging a game...but no way four.

Back on the game / series...

The Cavs stand around so much and tend to only attack the last 10 seconds of the shot clock. LBJ penetrates / kicks out.

It means San Antonio...the best defensive team in the NBA...is only having to defend seriously between 5 and 10 seconds on some plays.

That's a task they will handle easily.

The Cavs need to somehow pressure them a lot more.

Especially as the Spurs have TD waiting in there...5 blocks yesterday...

Detroit had no real shot blocker...so the late charges worked a lot.

San Antonio stays patient and waits for it though. They also defend the "kick it out to for a 3 ball" better than anyone (ask Phoenix).

Cavs need to adjust to this.

I think it was more of no more Larry Brown. Remember, they have Ben when MIA ousted them. But then again MIA is not the same team they faced the year before. It also took 7 games for DET to dispose CLE last year with Ben, something that may not be likely to happen with Larry. When SA faced DET with Larry, they were at thier best. A+ effort.. In other words, it seems the charm of DET left with Larry.

Not really, the so called "charm" of the Pistons left when they won the title, they got fat and happy. When they won it that year they did it on hard work alone, bring your hard hat type of a team and this year they seemed to think they could win a game with 75% effort and when that didnt work they still assumed they would pull it out in the end, confidence is one thing but they took it way to far. If Larry Brown was there Im not so sure things would have changed much in terms of effort, that guy can wear on players and then he gets tuned out, see the Knicks for that example, I do think he would make adjustments quicker then Flip did and would have been more creative on defense but I dont think it would have changed the outcome this year.

I actually agree with Sarah. The Pistons weren't fat and happy the year they lost to San Antonio. I'm definitely not saying they would've won the East/NBA Title the last two years if LB was there...but their chance died in the 4th quarter of Game 7 in San Antonio.

No, I agree that they werent fat and happy against the Spurs, Im more talking about this season and what happened against the Cavs more then anything. Next year will be interesting, with Billups status in the air and so many people dumping on Rasheed, myself included, it will be interesting to see how the offseason plays out.

Definitely... and yeah the Miami Heat ousted the Pistons with Big Ben, Sarah, but there isn't much Wallace could really do against Shaq. He could have stopped LeBron on drives though just like Tim Duncan in game 1, which is my only real argument here.

Last year, it ttook DET 7 games to take CLE out. I don't think there is much Wallace can do with Lebron a year better this year. But then again Ben was having problems with Saunders which certainly dropped his confidenced overall last time he played in DET. But Ben at his best, he could certainly secure the low post of DET with Sheed which would have helpful for DET. Honestly, SA probably would rather face DET with Ben and Saunders than with Larry Brown and Ben. SA (healthy) never meet that kind of a challenge since the reign of Shaq Kobe. But that is just what I think. Larry Brown was perfect for DET, but the worst choice for NY. I happen to like Larry. Just like Popovich, he doesn't tolerate flash and showboating. It all about business and bottomline just like SA.

Game 2...time to prove the doubters wrong, that it's not San Antonio vs. a Community College as some would believe.
