    Re: All Kobe Talk.....

Sha, add in there Zero Playoff, finals, or regular season MVPs, and you've got a regular o'l "Scottie Pippen".

He's the "scottie pippen" on that team until Shaq is away from his side, or kobe's scoring 50 ppg.

30 ppg just isnt impressive enough to classify him as anything special. Shaquille demands 4 defenders at all times.

let me remind you of the Suns-lakers game afew nights ago.
Bo outlaw jumped on Shaq's back. A 6-10 260 lbs. BEAST. Shaq didn't seem to notice.

It just so happened Shaq peaked at the right time, almost 6 years into his career, and kobe has been riding along side this whole time.

I think that's partially true. If you don't count Wilt as having the one and two spots, then he is tied for second. In any case, great accomplishments.

That's very true, but how can you fault him for that? It's not his fault that he happened to be on the Lakers the same time Shaq peaks. If Kobe had been put into a situation like TMac, where he was supposed to be a star, I think that he would be scoring even higher, and getting more numbers than he does now. That's all just guestimating, but you never know. I mean TMac doesn't have any MVP's for anything yet (even the All-star game), but people don't jump all over him when he is compared to MJ. TMac hasn't even been out of the first round yet, whereas Kobe has 3 rings.

I'm just saying, give the kid his props. He's worked hard, and still works hard day-in, day-out. He constantly adds something to his game, and take only 2 weeks for a break after he wins the championship.

Now if Shaq had that kind of dedication and work ethic, he would truely be unstoppable. Imagine Shaq stronger, but lighter, more nimble and shots better. That's a scary thought. The rest of the L should be happy that he's a lazy fatarse.

30 ppg game isnt anything special? how many people not named Mike have averaged this in the past 15 years?

People act like anyone could average 30 with Shaq on their team.

                        I don't really fault him.

I fault the media, and therfore associate him, being "bad", because of the overhyping BS the media tends to push upon him.

                        I guess its just reality.

i really think he can be one of the best, but if he honestly wants the title of the best, he'll have to prove it along side the worst and build up.

Stu Lantz(sp?) and that southerland dude need to get off the Lakers Balls ASAP. It's saddening trying to watch a full laker game on league pass.

Real Life "Bad Laker D" = Their opinions "Extremely good luck by other team"

Real Life "Good offense by other team"- Their opinions "Defensive lapse in their mindset"

They can't OUTRIGHT give props to the other team or talk some SH** about the bad play of the lakers. Their always associating the mistakes and good plays of the other teams with luck, and terrible defense.

Why can't you say, there just better, or they played better, or they were there on time and executed the play well with good laker D.

I'm sure other teams commentators do this, but with the LA popularity around the world, and kobe Bryant, I wanna see 7 foot white guys get schooled by Shaq.

it's hard to not notice their extreme biasm.

Nothing's wrong with being the 2nd best.

It's LAKER FANs, bandwagon or not (I associate laker fans all the same. They are fans of one team to a DEGREE) that think he's the best. Many think he's better than jordan.

I'm sure they're just 2 or 3 week old NBA fans talking sh** and they're making a bad name for the real hard core guys like Madskillz, but right now in this day in age, its the price you pay for liking such a popular team.

Whats wrong with being Scottie Pippen? He was the 2nd BEST player in the league behind Jordan. Kobe is the 2nd BEST in the league behind Shaq.

                                More BS....

The Media didnt help Kobe average 30 a game. The Media didnt give Kobe his 3 rings. So stop with that media overhype BS. If a guy averages 30 and gets 3 rings, he deserves the hype. They would do the same for TMAC or Iverson if they had championships.

Also, ALL local commentators are homers and cheer for their home team. I watch nearly every Laker game on League Pass and Stu Lantz is as quick to criticize the team as anybody else. You are clearly biased.
