    Nothing is wrong with that.

i think we're confusing each other here.

I just said, that when Shaq isnt on his team anymore, he'll have to play harder and tougher D, longer stints on the court (minutes), which can decrease scoring because his endurance and stamina may be lower due to increased ON COURT acitivity, without Shaq, helping out. And with him, almost "fresh" every 4th quarter now-a-days it may be a change when he's gone and He's Really TIRED and becomes UNCLUTCHFUL in the CLUTCH.

It'll take time for him for to adjust.

Ha, Kobe plays 42 minutes a game...and I rarely see the guy tired. Great players don't get tired....Kobe's one of the hardest working players in the off season. Plus, when the games on the line and your adrenalin is pumping...all the fatigue goes away. The ONLY player who even plays lax defense is SHAQ. I've never seen once seen Kobe not hustle defenisively. If Kobe had a ENTIRE team built AROUND him, he could EASILY score 35, prolly more, only thing Shaq does for Kobe is DECREASE his scoring. Kobe usually LETS Shaq be the main scorer for 3 quarters, then Kobe takes over in the 4th. Thats exactly what PHIL wants, and hes the smartest man on the planent, and heck Kobe still averages 30 with ease. Honestly, I don't think you have ANY idea what your talking about. You just envy Kobe, face it.

Sure, Kobe would score more, but what about the other stats ? rebounding, assists ?. Would the Lakers even win ? I think they had a 3-9 record w/o Shaq earlier this year.

I don't think it's fair to say Kobe is the best player in the league while he still has Shaq on his team.

Look what Shaq did to Penny Hardaway in his prime.

Shaq even made Tyronn Lue a key defender during the finals a couple years ago.

When Kobe has a team of his own and averages 30,5, and 5 I think many would consider him the best player in the NBA today. Problem is.. there's already a guy doing that in his 6th season. Kobe only( ) 25,5,5 in his 6th season. So ...

This just prooves your ignorance. The LAKERS ARE BUILT AROUND SHAQ, not Kobe. The Magic are BUILT around T-MAC. The simple fact Kobe get ALMOST the same stats as Tracey WITH Shaq on his team displays hes one of the best in the league. His stats would skyrocket without Shaq. When T-MAC ACUTALLY DOES SOMETHING significant..like MAKE IT OUT OF THE FIRST ROUND, then come talk to me.

my point was, Shaq makes defensive assignments a lot more easy to handle because you don't always have to play TOUGH D, because Shaq is the Anchor of the Defense.

You take him away and everybody including Kobe is working twice as hard on Defense because there's no big threat in the middle.

When this occurs players can get tired.

That's what my point was, for the 3rd time.

I didn't pull that observation out of my *** pal. Kobe has been told to play within the offence. To set up his teammates first and score second. He has trouble doing that now, and he's had trouble when Shaq was out.

His stats would drop w/o Shaq. You have no idea how much more you can relax when you have the best player in basketball on your team. Read my points again, I don't want to restate everything I just said.

are you madskillz ? I think you're the same person, trying to discredit great players because of what they haven't done.

But we'll see... Kobe sucked without Shaq so far, and that's a fact.

If Kobe had a TEAM BUILT around him, I highly doubt his stats would drop. The magic has MUCH MORE talent the the Lakers stubby...Looks like we have to wait and see..maybe in the next 5-10 years there will be a T-MAC vs Kobe NBA finals..But seriously, you can't PUT T-MAC on Kobe's level UNTIL(and he prolly will) ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING. Don't come in here throw POINTLESS stats..they don't equal "greatness"

Sure, Kobe would score more, but what about the other stats ? rebounding, assists ?. Would the Lakers even win ? I think they had a 3-9 record w/o Shaq earlier this year.

And the remark about T-Mac making it out of the first round..

are you madskillz ? I think you're the same person, trying to discredit great players because of what they haven't done.

But we'll see... Kobe sucked without Shaq so far, and that's a fact.

You're the one who is trying to discredit Kobe for what he had done...note he HAS ACTUALLY done something...whoopie T-MAC is getting stats, pfft, players are judged by WINNING not stats.

Don't come on here 9 days strong, and discredit all of our views.

We've had some long discussed battles of posts about kobe and Mj, and whatever else relating to them. It got soo out of hand, we had to make a damn thread just for kobe.

I see what you're saying, but it looks like you don't want to give in to anybody else opinion, but your own.

And that is what's killing you in the respect sense.
