Seriously. There are about 3-4 honest unbias answers so far on this list.

I mean you have folks named before Kobe that have NEVER played in the finals and you even have some folks, **cough cough Melo man cough cough*** that have JUST made it out of the first round.

But he is more clutch than Kobe? A man that has done IT on the grand stage? Come on now.

Honestly, I'd take Kobe or Lebron, but for the sake of just throwing a name out there I put Grainger.

Grainger hasn't played a meaningful playoff game that I know of, but still is no reason to not allow him in a discussion.

For the opportunities he's had, he's been "clutch".

I think he had the most game winning shots in 08-09 too.

It is when other people have proven themselves in the playoffs over and over and over again. In a reasonable discussion, repeatedly doing it at the championship level should easily trump regular season trends.

But I do not think there is a lot of reasonable discussion here, so I digress.

Damn even this thread turns into a pissing contest.

Guys brought up stats that pertain to the regular season. And you know what, DC has a point. But in what way does that take away from the players that have the numbers to backup their bid for being "clutch."

Just because someone is clutch at the championship level DOES NOT mean someone isn't clutch in the regular season. You're trying to lump this into one big group and it's not that simple, as has been stated already.

It's just a discussion fellas. Relax.

Who's not relaxed? It's not about a pissing contest. It's just my opinion that people who perform in the regular season and in the playoffs have a much better more trustworthy and more valuable "clutch resume" than people who are either unproven or have very limited experience in the playoffs.

That's a reasonable point as far as I'm concerned, and not a personal attack, pissing contest, or "unrelaxed" stance.

Yes because "clutch" as a stat is too general.

For instance, Roger Mason hit some very clutch shots this year. He did not create his own shot on any of those shots while guys like Bron. Kobe, and even Gil when he was healthy were iso'd at the top of the key with all eyes on them delivering winners.

Then you have guys like Ray Allen who run off screens or get open looks and make the shot.

All of them are clutch to a certain degree but some require more work which IMO makes them more impressive.
